Lich Jord overrules her on the basis that she never technically removed him from power, and thus he is still the Red King. As the Knaves have to obey the orders of whomever is currently the Red King/Queen, they go to his side. He makes them all go after Charlia, frees Sal, and asks him for a Truce.

Charlia laughs evilly and removes him from power, noting that in fact, the Red Queen did end up killing the Red King in one canon branch... as well as the White Queen and White King in another branch.
Then she stabs him again and the Knaves summarily behead him.
