A city's garrison would be around a 800-1000 men for larger cities such as Skingrad., lower for poorer cities such as Anvil.

The Legion's currently pretty damn big, above the first Great War's 100.000

I'll have to start recruiting then.

How much would you say the Dominion could field?

60.000-70.000. The Dominion's armies were slaughtered in Cyrodiil and Hammerfell in the Great War, and the birth rates are way lower.

If some one's fighting because they chose to, they will fight harder than if they're told to. Ylgim knows his history, he knows the Skyrim was in her glory when she was independent, he also knows that even when she was part of the Empire, as long as Skyrim had the right to self rule, she was strong. The Stormcloaks where to radical and impulsive, bringing disaster to Skyrim. To Ylgim the only way to bring Skyrim back to her former glory is for her to be independent. He doesn't care how long it takes, or how many steps must be made. His first major goal is to get the Empire to allow Skyrim to self rule, then he can make a go for full independence.

If Talos isn't your rallying cry than don't expect much support. The Empire protects Skyrim, and without the Empire, Skyrim is screwed.

Oh, he'll still use Talos in his rally, but that isn't his main focus. His main focus is a self governing and then an independent Skyrim. An independent, or even self governing Skyrim could allow for the worship of Talos.

Well those numbers sucks...at least the Dominions are more skilled in magic or those losses would be an almost guaranteed lost.

Don't worry, we're in the works of trying to get them. But we also have the Altmer's superiority in magic (which I always assumed was the reason why the Dominion ended up kinda winning the first Great War).

It probably be easier at the start for the empire to try and detestable them. I can see it being easiest moving to separate Elsweyr.

Defiantly the Altmer are the main threat which why trying to invade the isles would be suicide, even trying to invade Auridon would be suicide.

That and, more importantly, the element of surprise - the Empire was caught completely unaware, the Legion at peacetime strength. If they hadn't had that on their side the War could've ended in a very different way - see what happened when the Empire finally managed to get their shit together.

Though on the flipside, as far I can recall the empire never ended up invading The Dominion so the capabilities of the empire's offense were never tested and the commander who is able to successfully invade Valenwood or Summerset Isles deserves to live in fame throughout the Empire...sadly I don't know enough about Elsweyr to determine if it would be as difficult to invade.

Well cause the Wood Elves can't waste any slain foe right? Like they literally starve themselves days at a time before a major battle then feed off the off the fallen foe right. So like what if you got like a Falmer or something equally as nasty and have it attack them, so when they eat it they get sick of it, and as such are weakened.

I know it's messed, but it was a thought that ran through my brain.

That's very true - Titus Mede decided to fully agree with the White-Gold Concordat for that reason: he didn't know if he could successfully take it with what he had. The Concordat was, from the Mede's point of view, a way to prepare for a Second Great War because he knew the Empire, even in its weakened state, could recover faster, meaning that the Empire would have the advantage and the numbers in the following conflict. It's quite interesting, I find, and sheds a whole new light on Ulfric's "huu the medes are pussies".

Anyway, think you lot can stay without me for like an hour? :P

Yeah, never liked that guy Ulfirc...I feel like if the DOminion is to win some major risks are going to be need to be made, I got plans...but unfortunately they are all longshots... :(

I can manage...kinda just waiting for the war to start being that my character is a military general with no political power :P So until then i will make scenes of him being a great father figure waiting for him to turn into the cruelly efficient military commander he is.
