Ralos Athelyn
Image

Race: Dark Elf
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: As Ralos has been soldiering most of his life, his entire body his well-muscled if somewhat on the slim side. His chest and legs are veritable tapestries of scars earned through countless fights and battles. He is without the warpaint shown in the picture.
Class: Scout
Equipment: Bonemold pauldrons, chainmail cuirass, leather greaves, leather gauntlets, leather boots, Gah-Julan bonemold helm, steel katana, steel dagger, composite bow + 30 arrows, a roll of clean bandages
Skills: Ralos is first and foremost a marksman, and is exceedingly skilled in the use of the bow, which he has used and trained with since he was a child. He is a competent swordsman, though by no means excellent in this regard. Despite his rather unapproachable personality, he can be a quietly reliable leader when commanding individuals that he can trust, and trust him. He also has a good mind for tactics, and after winning several notable victories against the Argonians is a proven commander, though certainly not the most inspiring leader. Ralos has also taken a more recent interest in the scholarly arts, and while he is no ancient mage, he knows much of Tamriel's history and has a better understanding than most of the Dwemer.

Weaknesses: Ralos' weakness however is his lack of social grace. He is decidedly bad at talking to people, and his mouth has gotten him in trouble with nobles on more than one occasion. Not to mention he is simply not a very kind person; betrayal and backstabbing are not below him if the result is the death or capture of people he doesn't care about. However for those few that he does trust and care about, betrayal is out of the question. Ralos is a naturally suspicious individual by nature and winning his trust is quite difficult. In return he often advises people not to trust him. Considering his gruff, blunt, and rough nature, not trusting Ralos Athelyn is quite easy for most. Charm and the intricacies and courtesies of a noble's court are, if not quite beyond him, most definitely not his forte.

Bio: Ralos was born in 4E 230, just south of the city of Blacklight. His father was a noble fairly high up in the hierarchy of House Redoran, being a House Father. Ralos was a bastard born out of wedlock, and was disinherited from his father's lands. However, Galen Athelyn decided to raise his bastard among his trueborn children, much to the annoyance of his wife. Ralos grew up practically without a mother (as she ignored him) but was treated as a trueborn son by his father, despite often being left out of court affairs because of his bastardy. Because he was never brought along to sit in on meetings of the Redoran Council like his brothers were and was excluded from sitting alongside his family during feasts, his understanding of court politics and statesmanship lagged behind that of his siblings.

However, Ralos proved himself to be a masterful archer from a very early age, and under his father's tutelage he became recognized as one of House Redoran's best archers before he was twenty. After winning several skirmishes against the Argonians, he was given command of several companies of Dunmer and tasked with holding a large section of the southern border against Argonian invaders and the occasional Nord raiding party. In 4E 273 the Argonians attempted another northward push with the hope of seizing Blacklight once and for all. After sweeping aside the first Dunmer army to get in his way, the Argonian general Batar-Meej led 7,000 of his fellows north. Ralos, who commanded about eight hundred Dunmer, laid an ambush in the mountains south of Blacklight and took Batar-Meej completely by surprise, destroying half his army at the Battle of Vansunalit. The Argonians managed to rally their forces and move north again, but Ralos launched successive hit-and-run attacks to wear down their strength and lower their morale. Finally, he gave battle near a hamlet named Maelu and defeated the remainder of Batar-Meej's army, saving Blacklight and House Redoran from the Argonians, at least for awhile. He fell in love with one of his officers, a Dunmer named Varasa Brenos, and began to court her in the years following his greatest victories. He continued to serve in the field, but the conflict with the Argonians subsided somewhat and he never participated in engagements as large as Maelu or Vansunalit again.

He won much acclaim in House Redoran for his victories, which made his thus far unaccomplished trueborn brothers jealous. They spread rumors that he had raped and impregnated the daughter of a Redoran Councilman (who had been raped a few months before by a perpetrator who's face she did not see) and even concocted their own evidence to lend the story some credibility. The Redoran Council was forced to bend before the evidence and act against the general who had saved them. Ralos was declared an outlaw and banished from Morrowind. However his father refused to believe the accusations against him and allowed numerous companions and officers from Ralos' small army to join him. Though disgraced, Ralos left Morrowind at the head of a band of sixty or so Dunmer soldiers who were now without purpose except to follow their general. Varasa was among the party, and the two got married in Cheydinhal later that year. Though banished because of rape accusations that a goodly portion of the Redoran nobility have come to regard as true, most of House Redoran and indeed, most of the Dunmer in Morrowind remember Ralos Athelyn in a positive light; as the general who saved Morrowind from the Argonians, for twenty years at least if not in the long term. In Morrowind he is now often referred to as "The Bastard of Blacklight," though usually in a derogatory manner.

Still, the resolve of the Redoran Council did not waver and Ralos remained an outlaw. He turned to mercenary work, serving one client or another in Cyrodiil, Skyrim, High Rock and even as far afield as Hammerfell and northern Valenwood. He supplemented the legions of the Empire against the Stormcloaks and several years later assisted Nord nobles in staging a revolt in Riften, which was ultimately put down after a year. Ralos spent three years hunting bandits up and down High Rock, all in the name of coin. The longer he wandered, the more bitter he grew, until the day that his wife Varasa was devoured by a vampire clan in Stros M'kai. After that he was very nearly mentally broken, and lapsed in and out fits of babbling madness for close to a year. Half of his remaining men deserted him during those months. After close to a year however he recovered, but was left a harsh, bitter, and uncouth individual, full of anger that he took out on those his clients wanted dead.

By 4E 295 Ralos was sitting on a nice large pile of money, made higher by the fact that he didn't drink or whore like most self-respecting sellswords. He took an interest in the scholarly arts and began delving into old ruins and dead cities of his own accord, learning much of Tamriel's history, while accepting fewer contracts. Ralos learned much of the Dwemer and their disappearance, though he came no closer to divining the reasons behind their vanishing than scholars who had tried before him, which only further frustrated a life already more full of disappointment than anything else.

It is now 307, and the last vestiges of the satisfied man who put Batar-Meej's head on a pike have died. The make-up of Ralos' band differs significantly from twenty-five years before. Of the sixty Dunmer who followed him into exile, only eleven remain to him, the others having died in his years of mercenary work or gone their own way during his year of madness. The rest of his men come from all of Tamriel, individuals who Ralos recruited during his travels or approached him of their own accord. He is now in Chorrol at the head of forty men, unsure of what he wants, unsure of what to do in the present, but dead certain that at some point, he will return to Morrowind and take vengeance on his brothers.

RP Sample: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=327920&hilit=Erlend&start=275

Personality: Gruff, direct and not very polite, Ralos is poorly suited for a feast with nobles or a lively dance with pretty maidens. He is not unkind, but neither is he kind. Since trust has lost him so much in his life, he trusts only a small circle of individuals and is slow to take a liking to anyone not already in this circle. Guile and charm are not options for him, and he tends to look down upon those who use it to achieve their aims. Ralos is also much more devout than one would expect of a disgraced exile and veteran mercenary. He is a strong adherent to the new Reclamations religion that the Dunmer took to after the Red Year, and is fiercely supportive of his faith.

Likes: The Reclamations, Dunmer, Morrowind, soldiers and fellow fighting men, his small circle of Dunmer friends
Indifferent: The Empire, the Aldmeri Dominion, Nine Divines, Stormcloak sympathizers, Mages
Dislikes: Black Marsh. He doesn't hate Argonians, but he is most certainly not a fan of theirs. When it comes to things he does hate, vampires top the list as they are responsible for the death of his wife.

Vorid Ursine
Image

Race: Nord
Gender/Sex: Female
Class: Archer
Equipment: Stormcloak Armor, Hide Helmet, Nordic Bow, Steel Dagger, Amulet of Talos
Skills: Vorid, with what little experience she has, is very proficient in archery. Even on horseback, she can hit a target from a vast distance. Beyond that, she uses alchemy more as a hobby than an actual skill.
Weaknesses: Vorid has difficulty in fighting in close ranges. Her dagger isn't exactly the best weapon to carry in a tight death battle, and fights against magic-users tend to be even worse.
Bio: Vorid Ursine was the girl who few expected to do anything worthwhile. Born in Windhelm, her family was once respected throughout the hold. Her ancestors fought alongside Ulfric Stormcloak bravely, right until they were cut down by those Imperial dogs. Her mother imprinted a deep resentment for all things relating to the Empire once Vorid was born, just as her ancestors did ever since Remaunus Cardes conquered Skyrim. Vorid grew up in the shadow of her city's greatness. The cold winds of Windhelm nurtured her bitterness for much of her childhood. Not to mention a dislike for Elves. Vorid's father, noticing the plight on his daughter's face, gave her the Amulet of Talos, which had been a family heirloom for generations.

To this day, she continues to wear it proudly. For a while, the young Nord girl was content to live in Windhelm. Upon turning 17, Vorid discovered an old armor set, kept intact within the attic of her house. Not only that, but she had also found a Nordic Bow, untouched by time, and a trove of journals written during the Civil War. The tales of adventure and sacrifice proved too exciting. Vorid wanted to follow in her ancestor's footsteps, and maybe become an adventurer someday. Despite her mother's disapproval, little could be done when she bought a horse and basic supplies, and made her way out of the city gates. A new world opened up for the young Nord. It was a world of danger, but more importantly, thrills.
RP Sample: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=348897&p=25445152&sid=9e7faa0c62b1c8e0d94df07880efff60#p25445152
Personality: Vorid is somewhat naive, but all around outgoing and always ready for a challenge. She is honest, carrying a strict moral code, killing only in self-defense. The only Divine she worships is Talos, and does so with frequency. That being said, Vorid harbors a heavy dislike of Elves, conflicting with her (mildly) innocent outlook on life. Other than that, she is fine with Argonians and Khajiit. Only in taverns is she a heavy drinker.
Likes: Mead, horse-riding, adventuring, Skyrim, Nordic History/Culture, Talos
Dislikes: Elves, The Empire, Cyrodiil, Daedra, Mages, Vampires & Werewolves, The Thalmor

Veran-Ra
Race: Argonian, Saxhleel, or lizard-man, if you prefer.
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: http://becken95.deviantart.com/art/Skyr ... -490262537

Veran-Ra stands at six feet and six inches; he's quite tall, especially for an Argonian. Unlike his egg-brother Atum, whom is shorter and stockier, Veran has a more muscular and leaner physique. His sharp eyes are the color of the sun, a bright golden shade that pierces the dark of the night. Veran-Ra's feathery hair is a deep crimson, similar to the hue of blood, and is generally kept at a medium length. The Argonian's head has no horns, which is a rare mutation in the people of the Black Marsh, save for the small ones that follow along his squared jawbone. His skin is a smoky black, almost like charcoal, and the scales that dot it are made up of various dark greens and reds. Three jagged scars of unknown origin stretch across his snout, as well.
Class: Barbarian
Equipment: Veran-Ra is equipped with: black leather armor that has chainmail segments, a long coat with a hood and mouth cover, a rune necklace made of Hist bark, a steel battle axe, two steel daggers, numerous throwing knives, along with various oddities and charms.
Skills: Veran-Ra is essentially a melee combatant. With his two handed battle axe he is a tank on the battlefield, cleaving his foes into grisly pieces with bone crushing strikes. However, when the situation calls for a lighter touch, he can deftly use his dual daggers to make short work of unarmored and unprepared enemies. Although he's clearly not one for ranged fighting, his skill with throwing knives is quite good, especially when paired with his knowledge of basic anatomy. His abilities continue outside of battle, too, although some are obviously more impressive than others. Veran's supplementary talents include skillful cookery, story-telling, a sharp tongue and mind, adroitness in the game of manipulating and analyzing others, and what he calls, "Romance." In fact, many a Nord maiden have written songs about his abilities as a lover; at least, that's what he'd tell you.
Weaknesses: Veran-Ra is unskilled in ranged warfare and is fairly terrible in the art of using bows and javelins, which his sibling Atum is well versed in. His disdain for elvenkind, more so the Dunmer, may also hinder possible partnerships and diplomacy. Furthermore, although hard to anger, Veran's rage can get the better of him when he's pushed to his emotional limits.
Bio: IN PROGRESS
RP Sample: You know me... right?

Alright, this is a work in progress. I'm really tired, so I'll finish Veran's information and then his brother's sometime tomorrow.

Frofnir Whitefist
Image

Race: Nord
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: Frofnir is large and strong as all true sons of Skyrim should be. His chest and arms are covered with with scars and burns, and ritualistic tattoos run from his shoulders down to his thighs.
Class: Warrior
Equipment: A set of steel plate armor, a nord hero battle axe, a steel longsword, a cloak of bear fur, a horn ade of carved ivory, a white horse, a bedroll, and a sack of food-stuffs.
Skills: Skilled in the use of axes and swords. Comfortable in heavy armor and freezing weather. Is skilled enough to repair minor damage to his arms and armor.
Weaknesses: No ability in the magical arts or subtlety. Rash and prone to charge headlong without taking the time to think things through. Comes off as crude and belligerent.
Bio: Frofnir hails from the far north of Skyrim. Clan Whitefist has held lands in the Pale for centuries, pulling ore from the earth and felling trees. They have a long legacy of being fierce warriors and peerless fighters. Frofnir was raise with an axe in his hand and stories of great Nords in his ear. At the age of twelve Frofnir was turned loose from his home to prove his worth as a Nord. For three weeks he trekked through the mountains and forests in search of a prize worthy of his family.

Finally, near the peak of a mountain he found it, an Ice Wraith. Even through the dense mist and snow Frofnir could hear the crackle of its' icy form and the shimmer as it passed by. With axe in hand he fought the creature atop the mountain. Eventually, he slew the wraith with a swing of his axe, cracking its icy shell. With icy shell in hand Frofnir began the journey home. He was treated to a hero's welcome on his return. His family's hall was filled with song, food and strong ale that night.

For the next few years Frofnir remained at his home, honing his skill with axe and sword. But, at sixteen he set out on his own. He sought adventure, glory and honor. He found all three in his days as a adventurer. He slew bandits in Whiterun. Led a band of sellswords in the Jeralls. And served as housecarl in Winterhold. In that time Frofnir's skills and reputation only grew.

Recently, Frofnir has found himself in the Imperial City. He is serving as an officer in an auxiliary company of Nords for the Imperial Legion.
RP Sample: I was invited here.
Personality: Frofnir is loud and prone to obnoxiousness. He drinks to excess and often wakes up with no recollection of the night before. He fails to see the ulterior motives of others, believing things to often be as they appear. He keeps to the Nordic Pantheon, though he recognizes the similarities to the gods of the Empire. He most closely relates to Kyne, the Mother of Men.
Likes: Skyrim, Nords, the Nordic Pantheon, Imperials, the Empire, mead, ale, meat, battle.
Dislikes: Elves, too much talking, magic, wine, werewolves, cowardice.

Martin Septim
Image

Race: Imperial
Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Conjurer
Equipment: Silver longsword of frost; emperor's armor
Skills: Conjuration, one-handed combat, heavy armor
Weaknesses: Daedra
Bio: Martin was born as an illegitimate child to Uriel Septim VII and an unknown mistress. Uriel could not raise the child, and trusted Jauffre with spiriting him away as infant. Uriel still asked Jauffre for updates on Martin's whereabouts, but never met with the boy anytime after he was given up. Martin was unaware of anything regarding this for most of his life.
In his youth, he grew up believing that his father was a farmer and his mother had died giving birth to him. Early on in his life, he discovered the seductiveness of Daedric magic, practicing it and using it on a daily basis. Martin joined the Daedric Cult of Sanguine. Evidently, Martin briefly came into possession of the Sanguine Rose.

When the Oblivion Crisis happened, he helped the Hero of Kvatch do stuff. He was like super helpful and stuff. He did this awesome thing where he turned into a dragon and killed daedra and everyone was happy. The End.

RP Sample: The first Dragon Age rp you did, of course. Sorry for not participating in the others, I wasn't quite caught up with everyone at that point.

Mesrane wrote:Ralos Athelyn

South Sutalia wrote:Vorid Ursine

Gender/Sex: Male
Class: Warrior
Equipment: Has his old Legion gear in his house, but usually carries a Dwarven dagger. He has lots of armor and weapons in his home as well, that he is an expert at using but doesn't use it often.
Skills: Melee Combat and military strategy
Weaknesses: Magic. Marcus never had the ability to learn magic.
Bio:

Marcus was born in the Imperial City 25 years ago as a pure-blood Imperial. His mother died giving birth to Marcus, so he only knew his father. His father was a member of the Imperial Legion, and was never truly around for he was always on the front. Living in the Imperial City during the days of the Empire's expansion was difficult, for taxes were high and most of the men were gone. While his father was his role model, his father was never really around. Though, when Marcus DID see his dad, he loved every second of it. His dad taught him how to wield a sword, how to fight with a dagger, how to survive when everyone else was doomed. At age 12, his father would head to the Imperial-Dominion Border. In a small skirmish, his father was killed, and Marcus would never see him again.

Marcus, deeply abandoned and all alone, packed up everything he could and joined a small caravan heading to Skyrim. Marcus hoped that Skyrim could be a fresh start, where the memories of his past don't haunt him. After the long hike, 12 year old Marcus found himself in Riften, where the authorities threw him in the Orphanage. He was abused, neglected, and mistreated in the orphanage, but at age 14 he was caught stealing. As a result, his "mother" brutally beat him to the point that he entered a coma. Hoping to cover up what she'd done, she threw Marcus into the river in Riften to make it look like a mugging. Though, the dying teenager was found by a couple of shady men. Marcus would awake three weeks later deep in the sewers. After weeks of recovery, Marcus would learn that we was rescued by none other than the Thieves' Guild. Over the next two years, Marcus would become a very respected member of the Guild, carrying out many major and minor jobs, including the infamous robbery of the High King's Vault.

By age 17, Marcus had roughly 50,000 Septims which he'd earned over years of small robberies and larger ones alike. With that much money, Marcus could afford to move away. Still keeping close ties to the Guild, Marcus bought a home in Whiterun, and began to build a life... an honest life. Marcus joined the Whiterun Guard and also got a job working a trading post. Though, at age 19, he would enlist in the Imperial Legion with the interests of following in his father's footsteps. Marcus spent over a year at an isolated Imperial Fort in the Orsinium region, where his life was at risk with each passing day. Almost every day, the fort was attacked by angry Orcish insurgents, or he was sent on a mission to hunt them down. In a year of almost constant fighting where dozens of his fellow soldiers were brutally slaughtered, Marcus killed 31 Orcs, and came to resent the Orsimer.

Marcus returned to Skyrim and served part time at Fort Greymoor with a small Imperial Garrison. For the next two years, his life would be relatively consistent, until he was redeploy far from Skyrim, all the way to the southern regions of Cyrodil. Today, Marcus is far from home, preparing for what he believes to be an imminent war with the High Elves of the Aldmeri Dominion...

Alright, bit of a problem with the Bio. I'm alright with the first part, but it starts to go wrong with the High King's Vault.
-He's somewhere between 15 and 17 years old. No way he'd be taken to such a job over far more experienced thieves
-50.000 is way too much. He's not the Emperor of Cyrodiil, damnit.
-The Legion doesn't really have to do much fighting with the Orcs

Except that people like him are a minority :p

Khajiits who actually express hate from the Thalmor are usually found in barren lands such as Skyrim since they're hated by other Khajiits in Elsweyr. Take note that the Khajiits were fooled helped by the thalmor by trolling them with the moon incident.r estoring the moons :)
