Strangly, Maya breaks out into a grin, a sick twisted one quite different from Nao's. It's the kind of grin someone who's been through too much sometimes has when another problem pops up. And then, that grin turns into a gut wrenching mix between a sob and a laugh. That sickening sound stretches on for quite a while before she speaks again.

"Ah, I thought there might be time to help you if I just forced my way out for a little, but's it's too late for that. The hell inside your head is there to stay, just like in mine. Has it told you it's name yet?" She asks, tilting her head to the side, causing a trickle ofntears she doesn't seem to notice to flow down the side of her face.

"I know his name... I know him all too well... and he wants me to die... slowly, intimately, in all the ways he knows I fear..." Her eyes were wild, unfocused. For once, you've got it right.

Nope. Not happening. Too much going on. And her mind was exploding.

Face blank, she slowly grabbed her teeny music player, stuck her headphones in, and turned on her music. She was about to turn around and leave when the staff lady snapped.

"You. You have someone else inside your head too, don't you? What does it say to you? Does it make the same hell inside your head as in mine?"

Completely ignoring her fear of big bugs, she ran over to the woman and place her hands on her shoulders, gently attempting to turn the woman around to face her. "Woahwoahwoahwoah...Hey, slow down a sec." Her voice became gentler, trying to soothe the lady. "We should talk. You have someone in your head? What do you mean by that? Tell me, I'll listen."

She hoped beyond all reason that she could get this woman cooled off before anything else happened.

Too late though, as the girl from earlier started crying. "Um, y-yes. I mean, no, not--not exactly, but... yes! He's... he's in my head, and I hate it!"

This wasn't good. Two people with split personalities, and only minutes earlier they had been battling to the death. Not good at all. Desperately, Kristina tried to assert some control, attempting to use her powers to cool them both down a little her hands resting on the girls' shoulders. "Listen, please listen you two. Yes, you all need to talk, and both of you have some major things you need to speak with someone about. But we can't do that in here. There's too much going on. Please, let's head to my room so we can talk about these in private? Okay?"

Yup, that's the best she could manage.

Charlotte just looked at her sadly. "You can't help me, if that's what you're trying to do... it's far too late for that." Oh, yes it is. Face it, you little wretch. You're broken, and you can never, ever be fixed. And you don't even remember why.

"Talk? Who do you want to talk to? Me, the original?" Her voice changes to Maya's lighthearted childlike voice. "Maybe me? Maybe me?" Her voice again shifts to Nao's poisonous tone. "Or are you really that desperate to talk to me?" A final shift, and voice returns to melancholy tone it had originally. "Talking won't help what we have wrong with us. Because we aren't the ones with something wrong. It's that thing sharing our head that's wrong."

She then looked carefully at the soldiers. On a rare occasion, in a blue moon, with a man she just found out was her girlfriend (kind of), She was wrong. She looked at the soldiers and proceeded to inch out the words from her mouth, "I'm sorry, artificial sirs. She then looked once more at Harriet.and here I was acting all heroic... well, I don't think it matters in these situations. She felt red, and her face showed a bright hue of warm. She couldn't help to stare, at her. "And in response to your question, I don't think I can maintain my cool. I-I-I'm an emotional person, so when it has to do with you... I can't help but not look cool... around you..." She slowly said to Harriet. As she realized her embarrassment, her words worked their way softer, and softer. Beth couldn't help it when Harriet is involved.
"A-Ah, I s-see," Harriet stammered, still holding onto Beth's arm, "although we have just met today, so it's kind of awkward..." The marines inclined their heads forgivingly, and began to stretch their arms at ease. "I suppose we should plan out what we're going to do now," George muttered, nodding towards Max and Joey. But then he noticed the girl the boy was with had reacted rather oddly. "Miss, are you alright?" George asked the girl (Charlotte).

Turning her head to the flickering light above the door, Maria waved but couldn't get up or she'd be in trouble from the librarian. Instead, she drew a small messenger drone, and wrote, 'What is it?' on the recording it would carry. It animated, and the small drone flew over to Lazarus to send the message. It then played the message in a robotic tone and awaited a reply.

All of these emotions and the talking about talking and talking to themselves was quite enough to overwhelm the poor boy in the middle of all these girls (and his mantis companion, of course) into such a state of confusion that of all that he wanted to say to try to calm the situation down, he couldn't think of a single thing that would actually make it better before making it worse. Still, all the spinning emotions piling up mostly just from watching everyone cry made him feel as if he needed to scream something, no matter what it was. Eventually he simply gave up trying to control what did and didn't come out of his mouth.

"Oh my god!" was how he began, an exclamation that might've sounded angry if the boy was known for ever being anything but happily supportive, goofy, or depressed. He turned to Charlotte first, the winged girl more or less holding him up alongside his green guardian. "You! You're not broken, Charlotte, and you need to quit letting whatever it is inside your head tell you that you're some kind of lost cause! God, you're so amazing, the way you do the thing with the wings and...when you laugh even when I think I'm just being goofy even when you're so sad, and how cute you are when you blush and I dunno I think I might love you maybe just a little bit, but it makes me so mad that you think so little of yourself and I can't stand that!"

He directed his attention to Maya, confused as to what he had to say about her. "And you're so nice, but I really don't know you that well, still you're really sweet, only sometimes I guess but when you're not trying to murder me and my friends you really are my favorite staff member I've met so far! I just don't understand why the people that I like the most have to have this side of them that makes them so angry or sad or whatever, you're not broken either it's just some kind of...silly quirk? Murderous rage or something, I dunno either, but talking probably won't help it that much so I guess you're right, just keep being sweet and happy please!"

Finally, catching his breath for a moment, he directed his attention to Kristina. "And I really don't know anything about you, I'm pretty sure I don't even know your name, but every time you're around things seem to either be really bad for me or just get sad for everyone else, the only two times I've even seen you were when you were crying or you made some other people cry, but I guess it's not really your fault and things are kinda insane here anyway, you seem really normal to be in a place like this!"

The boy was still trying to control his breathing at the end of the outburst that he felt simply needed to be let free, and he could feel his heart racing out of control. For as much effort as I put in I don't think that made anything any better. Fucking bang-up job you did there, bud. he thought to himself. At least he himself felt much better after letting it all out after being surrounded by the three, very emotional girls.

"Fuck me." Jamie muttered. Students were climbing out of the woodwork. He had come in with just four students, and now he had six. And they were all driving him insane. Did they not understand the definition of punishment? At this point, Jamie was going to break. He couldn't stand these kids anymore! "I don't have a book." He heard a timid voice say. Alright, make that seven. Jamie sighed. A girl walked- floated?- up to his desk. She was pretty cute from the waist up; but from the waist down, she had tentacle legs with wolf heads on them. "I don't have a book," She said, with more determination. "They won't hurt anyone... or any books. I just... don't know what to read." Jamie was surprised. Most students had zero respect for him, even when they had only just met him. This girl was unnaturally timid and polite.

Jamie took on an eerily calm voice. "You want a book? I can lend you my favorite." Jamie handed her his personal copy of his favorite book- A Study in Scarlet, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. "I really would suggest you read it. Truly, an amazing book." Jamie thought a moment. "Or would you like a specific genre of book?"

Cyll smiled at Jamie's kindness as she took the book, surprised by his lack of fear in the face of six wolves. Perhaps there was hope of fitting in around her after all. I mean... we're all freaks aren't we? "Um. No. This should do fine. Thank you so much." She spoke. "I mean. As long as isn't not Frankenstein or something I'm fine. I get enough angry mobs baying for my blood as it is." She joked. Sometimes it helped to do that. Remind herself becoming a floating abomination isn't all bad. She then turned around and saw the others were still not quieting down much. She sighed. "Is there anything I need to do if I want to take this out of here? Like... register it with the library?" She paused. "I mean... I assume that we can do that. I'm not sure..."

Kristina Peterson

"You can't help me, if that's what you're trying to do... it's far too late for that."

Kristina could see deep in her eyes that the girl was truly tormented and alone. A sad smile lit her face as she spoke, a small tear forming, "You won't know unless you try. And if you never try, you're right, it is too late. But its up to you to determine if you want to fight it.

"But before you decide, I'm Kristina. Might you tell me your name?"

"Talk? Who do you want to talk to? Me, the original? Maybe me? Maybe me? Or are you really that desperate to talk to me? Talking won't help what we have wrong with us. Because we aren't the ones with something wrong. It's that thing sharing our head that's wrong."

This was a little disturbing to be honest, and yet Kristina amazingly wasn't fazed by it. For her own safety, perhaps she should have been.

"You're right, talking won't solve it. Don't think I am so foolish as to believe that. However, I would like to get to know you, all of you. Even if I can't help, will you at least allow me to get to know you?

And then the boy let it all out, saying everything on his mind. The girl had completely forgotten about him during the craziness, which she was a bit ashamed of. Obviously he was trying to help a little, and she didn't blame him for trying. Perhaps...

"My name is Kristina. And thank you," (I guess). "Could you and your," a shiver ran down her spine,"...mantis take Charlotte somewhere more quiet and secluded? Just talk to her, be kind to her, and please listen when she speaks. I'm going to take..."

She turned to the staff lady, "Sorry, I don't know your name yet. Things have been too crazy for me to ask. But perhaps we could get to know each other, me and all of you. But we need to go someplace else, because this is just too crowded for that. Please will you come with me?"

Scott switched to an app on his phone labeled "Student Body Government". He hit "call".
The intercom switched on, as well as a direct line to Edwin's office.
"Attention Student Body Government. This is an official meeting call. Please report to the IT Office immediately."
He ended the announcement, and immediately called Edwin.
"Hey doc, I had a couple guys monitor your old colleagues - they found something, or should I say, someone. Code Black - They're terminating the poor kid in 24 hours, so if you could join the SBG and I in the server room that would be great."
While he waited for the Doc's response, he brought up Terminal again.

"Yes, we can do that...definitely." Morman nodded the affirmative to the girl who introduced herself as Kristina, and her insistence that he and his mantis take themselves with Charlotte to some place more private, and talk with her. Before he'd even finished talking the insect had taken Charlotte up in its other foreleg and left the infirmary. Morman still felt awful, but...he'd manage. He had so far.

"How about this time, we go to your room?" he suggested, smiling as he took note of her red cheeks. He would've been doing the same, but...the way he'd let it all out like that made it seem impossible for him to get embarrassed. If he'd been afraid of getting embarrassed he wouldn't have gone on that little outburst at all.

"You'll have to uhm...show me where it is." he said with a grin, running his hand through his still surprisingly neat hair, for all that had happened today. The insect had already began making its way back to he dorms, for some odd reason being knowledgeable about where they were located.

"So uh...y-you know I...meant all of that, right? A-about...love and stuff..." he mentioned, deliberately quieting himself as he spoke the word and finally joined her in the shared feeling of warmth growing in his face.

"We suppose, there's no harm in talking to you about all of this," Maya says. "At least it will show just how much you should actually be avoiding us. Still, just so you understand the danger you're in being alone with us."
Without waiting for a response, Maya reaches into her messenger bag and takes out her note cards. Without hesitation, she ports a cards so close to the side of Kristina's neck that it nicks her skin, drawing a drop of blood, and slicing several stray stands of hair.

Willow's blush simmered down a little as she took her seat, Claire and Belle opening the book for her. She sneaked a glance at Faron, catching him smiling at her. He's smiling at me? After that kiss that could have been from a fuckin camel? Claire looked at her. It couldn't have been that bad. Yes it was! You're a spider that eats the guys who you mate with, what do you know about kissing? Belle tapped her arm as she sighed. Seeing that the librarian was distracted, she risked an extremely embarrassed and nervous whisper. "I-I'm sorry...it-it was my first time and....I-I know it was bad...I-I won't do it again, I promise...p-please don't be mad..." She couldn't look at him, couldn't look at the rejection that surely had to be in his eyes after that stunt. She was stupid to even think that she might've had a chance.

"Shut up." He whispered in a playful way meaning no harm while reading. "I'm not mad. It was my first kiss too." He admitted, Being alone at school didn't offer much chances at it. It also didn't help if you could for some reason guess what the person was thinking and tried to impress them or somthing and they get freaked out. Word travels fast in school and by the end of that day he was never talked to again. "Look, after this..." He whispered trying not to attract the attention of the librarian. "Go to the observatory. We can talk there or something." He added. Faron continued reading the book.

Willow smiled very slightly at his words. He's not mad? That's a fuckin relief.... "I'll take you up on that offer..." She said, still nervous. I stole his first kiss!? Fuck! Now I feel horrible, he could've shared that kiss with anyone, I don't deserve it! She licked her lips, they were numb from the kiss. Did I kiss him that hard? Fuck that's ridiculous. I knew I was gonna be bad but damn... She rubbed her face and yawned, Claire making a small web under the table and sleeping herself. Belle helped Willow turn the pages. The librarian was taking forever to punish them. Couldn't they just go now? She returned to her book, slowly getting lost into it like every other book.

"Woah woah," George the mustached marine said, putting his hand up at the conversation, "aren't you two a bit young to be going to the girl's room?" He didn't really understand what was going on, as his mind was set for normal things that a human should go through. He was a marine, not a doctor.

En gave a wide smile. A mission, a newbie, and an arms locker.

"It's like the fucking holidays today!" She beamed, opening the arms locker and drawing out a personal favorite, a Milkor MGL loaded with special 'Thunderslap' stun grenades. They simultaneusly combined getting hit by a taser and hit by a flashbang. She loved them.

She spun the revolving chamber and set it on her shoulder as she walked to answer the door, with her spare hand, she stuck a chocolate cigarette into her mouth, for added badassery, and then opened the door. The door opened quickly, making a slight breeze emanate from the server room, blowing En's hair ever so slightly for that heroic look.

"Alice, as per usual I'm going to ask to see your pin."

Edwin gave a sigh as the phone was hung up, his face one of mild annoyance, with both the school's SBG Tactical Teams, and also his former colleagues interrupting his supposedly peaceful existence. The old man clicked his pin at En, jostling beside her and entering the room.

The cut didn't hurt, but she could feel the blood. Her eyes locked on the woman's, mind set on this. "If you thought you needed to attack me to make me realize it, you're wrong. I didn't forget what happened to Charlotte only a few minutes ago. And yet I still want to talk to you. Don't think this makes me want to avoid you.

"Now, can we go talk in my room? I would far prefer the privacy."

Alice rolled her eyes, clearly displaying her pin, before pushing past the girl and going inside.

The mantis by then had taken them into her room and shut the door. Inside the dorm was a bit cramped with the massive insect, but it placed them on the bed and backed away a bit. "Well I don't think so. You're...amazing and beautiful and...I wanna say perfect but I guess that'd make you too good for me, right?" he laughed. Red in the face, flustered, nervous. "I mean...do I have to prove it?"

Her walls were covered with drawings, usually of herself at various ages. The younger ages were only mildly unsettling, her looking out a window and crying, watching others play, et cetera, but as she grew older, the pictures grew darker, more frightening. She had several books lying around, and paper that she was writing on.

She looked up. Her face was red, and her eyes were filled with tears. "I..." She took a deep breath, and then the words spilled out. "I love you, Morman. You're the first person who's been really kind to me in so long, I just... I couldn't believe that you... well, that anyone... could ever love someone..." Her voice fell to a whisper. "Someone like me."

"The only thing wrong with you is that you...seem to think all these things are wrong with you. And if I have to prove it..." he said, turning an even brighter shade of red. Not unlike Charlotte's hug, it was something that sprang into his mind in the spur of the moment. What better way to back up his 'prove it' words, than with a kiss. A nervous, flustered kiss, but one that was as sincere as it could be, and one that made him wonder if it was possible to have a heart attack while he was still in high school.
