Beth looked to the side, seemingly to hide her embarrassment. She didn't know what to say. Things just made her 'warmer.' She missed these feeling since her last girlfriend. She was glad to have met a new 'girlfriend.' Okay it was a little preemptive, but the girl locked on her arm, did give some good signs, and feelings.Sonitusia wrote:Crossing their arms behind their backs, the marines began introducing themselves. "I'm George," the mustached one said once more, "and these are Joey and Max. We were brought to life by a girl named Maria Le-Vif to help the process of returning several oddly moving tables and chairs to their proper places." Joey raised his finger, and added, "We came here to check on the wounded!" Max nodded, showing that wrapped around his right shoulder was a red medical cross.
"See, they're not bad people," Harriet said, smiling warmly and walking over to Beth, hugging her arm. "Please try to do things calmly next time..."
She then looked carefully at the soldiers. On a rare occasion, in a blue moon, with a man she just found out was her girlfriend (kind of), She was wrong. She looked at the soldiers and proceeded to inch out the words from her mouth, "I'm sorry, artificial sirs. Better than actual sirs, and coming to infiltrate this school to obfuscate mutants as to probe them, and weapon I've them.
She then looked once more at Harriet.and here I was acting all heroic... well, I don't think it matters in these situations. She felt red, and her face showed a bright hue of warm. She couldn't help to stare, at her. "And in response to your question, I don't think I can maintain my cool. I-I-I'm an emotional person, so when it has to do with you... I can't help but not look cool... around you..." She slowly said to Harriet. As she realized her embarrassment, her words worked their way softer, and softer. Beth couldn't help it when Harriet is involved.
