Godammit. First attempt to make friends in this place, and I feel like I'm already screwing up.
Ellie nodded vigorously. "There's a huge chaotic mess over there in the kitchen where the four homerooms are competing against each other in a food race. I, sadly, was caught in the middle, as you can see..." She gestured to herself before saying, "it's probably gonna take three or four showers to wash all this out of my hair." She ended it with a giggle, even if it was rather a misfortune. She wasn't ever bothered by messes, and was rarely rubbed the wrong way about anything. Anything besides people. People, humans, were a whole nother ballgame. Only because they could hurt her, could make her feel things, could make her cry and make her laugh at the same time. Nothing could do that besides people.
Humans--her species--were the only ones able to break her apart completely.
"Oh. Well, I don't really know much about cooking, so I don't know if I could help. Anyways, do you know where there's a library? It seems I lost all my books before arriving here."
Dammit, why'd I say that? Totally the wrong thing to say. Why do I say these sorts of crappy replies?
