And Sonitusia--it's actually not because of the power nullification. Well, it is, but only indirectly. The cold sensation triggered a panic attack/flashback/whatchamacallit. That's why when the powers returned, she didn't snap out of it.

Why prosecuting attorney, defense attorneys have the same pay but an easier job.

The prosecution has to prove without a doubt that one is guilty, the defense literally just has to put that doubt into the heads of others.
