Biography:

There were once two brother Gods, Mendacium and Deceptio; formed from the same being, but they divided over perceived differences in their powers. Mendacium, who valued aspiration and adversity, refused to accept the world of falsehood and illusions his brother, Deceptio, favored. The two brothers quarreled regularly as a result.

In a realm of reality since lost resided one Thadeus Nihil; an intelligent yet arrogant young man in his mid-twenties. Thinking himself strong enough, Thadeus challenged Mendacium: "Give me any trial and, if I pass, give me power equal to your own." Mendacium, intrigued, gave him the trial of immortality - the greatest adversity of all. Realizing he could never prove himself against eternity, Thadeus lost the trial and was enslaved by Mendacium. Seeing an opportunity to avenge himself against his brother, Deceptio appeared before Thadeus and offered a new bargain: use his (Deceptio's) power to kill Mendacium, and the Lord of Illusions and Falsehoods would grant him domain over all Deceptio's spheres.

Now, immortal and with control over illusions, Thadeus Nihil proclaimed himself the victor in his initial challenge against Mendacium: he had gained a power great enough to surpass immortality! Power over reality (at least as it is perceived) itself! Mendacium, angered yet fair, agreed and gave Thadeus power equal to his own. With his new found power, Thadeus slew Mendacium, fulfilling his bargain with Deceptio. The Lord of Illusions and Falsehoods, angered yet fair, gave Thadeus power over his spheres.

Now, empowered by Mendacium's spheres of Aspirations and Adversity, and Deceptio's spheres of Illusions and Falsehoods, Thadeus Nihil slew the last of the brothers and assumed their roles in the chaos of existence; becoming Mendacium Deceptio, a hybrid of the two brothers and their personalities.

Favored Appearance: Unable to change appearance, but can trick mortals' minds to see various things.
Biography: A separate entity from the group of other gods, L'Koth is a truly unusual entity. In the beginning, L'Koth, like the other gods, simply was. However, he existed far away from the others. Eventually, they simply discovered each-other. L'Koth is notable for his negative behavior. He will often take drastic, aggressive actions where one typically would not. He also has a modicum of disrespect for the other gods, as most of them have a less serious disposition. Though other gods had created most of the creatures of the world, L'Koth did not sit idly in this time. He created the Y'ha species, a race of intelligent, fish-like humanoids, presumably as his servants. Some others refer to them as 'Anurans'.

The Spheres of influence are still all over the place, but it's not like he has complete control over those things. As is stated above, he simply has an influence over all of those, with the exception of vengeance and anger, with those being his core.

Biography: Valerius was once a human sorcerer in the first civilization to form, who (accidentally) found a way to bind himself to all magic in existence, quickly discovering this also allowed him to easily feel and control magic all throughout existence, he transcended the mortal realm (including his human form) and created his own realm. After becoming intertwined with magic and creating his own realm, Valerius found himself to be quite bored, and since he had nothing better to do, he took it upon himself to have as much fun with his former mortal brethren as he could, and so played he played tricks upon mortals, ranging from innocent pranks to accidentally igniting wars, and so he became known not only as the Lord of magic, but also as a deceiving prankster. He often disguises himself as a mortal and follows interesting figures through history. As he is all magic, he can also control the outcome of most of the world's spells, changing magic that should ignite a candle into a raging firestorm, or making magic that should have reanimated a small army, reanimate the head of a skeleton. Valerius also has a twisted sense of humor, often adding a hidden twist to most deals he makes with mortals, and gods. His temples double as magic academies. (must include how you transcended)

Biography: One of the first beings to come into existence, Tempus is a powerful being, the one who arguably came first, for as he likes to point out, "without Time, how can we know when somebody emerged? And since we know that all else emerged near the beginning of time, we must know that time came first." Being the one in charge of time, destiny and fate, one would assume that he, like time itself is strictly ordered and logical, going from one point to the next whilst taking all steps in between, but that would be an incorrect assumption. To quote one of his high priests "Time is more like a big ball of wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey stuff,", and it shows in the personality of Tempus, who is flexible in what he does and says, capable of changing at a moments notice.

Title: Guide of Souls, Rider of the In-Between

Appearance (description or image): The most common form the guide of souls takes when ushering mortals into their life after death is that of a handsome, kind man of an olive complexion and with piercing jet black eyes that might be the only truly disturbing thing about his appearance as the kind rider between life and death that most mortals come to know him as in life. Sinners, the corrupt, and the wicked have a very different experience however - the sleek black steed that he would typically ride upon is rotted and decayed, his black eyes are not accompanied by a gentle grin but by a half mask over the left of his face depicting a carion bird, while the right is deformed and scarred. In this way a soul may know their fate before he passes his judgement, but he still carries out his 'inspection' of their worth regardless, if only because he enjoys the theatrics of it all, and the looks of concern on the faces of newly arrived mortal men.

Biography: The Rider of the In-Between has been present almost as long as there have been men to die. In the very oldest days of the first men, when mortals passed they would not always accept their fate. Often times when they didn't, they would attempt to run, to wander and search for a way back to their homes in the land of the living. They would search for so long that slowly, they dissipated into an unseen void before they gave up. Even when some did give up, they faded long before they found their way to the afterlife chosen for them. The corrupt souls would run to escape judgement, and never truly face the wrath the gods had decided fit for them to feel. To remedy this, The Ride of the In-Between, Gaeyn-Avalga was created. And his responsibilities were simple: bring these souls to their homes. Calm them if they are frightened, counsel them if they are afraid of the prospect of death. And punish them if they are wicked.

Originally he carried out his duties with little incident, but he has realized the power that he holds in certain situations. He realizes now that some gods place a high price on the souls of their mortal champions, of powerful men that served them in life. He knows that he has everything to gain by playing a game of auctioneer in between his usual role as the guide of mortal men, and often does. Despite where someone is supposed to end up, Gaeyn is quite happy to make sure he never arrives there if he is properly enticed. This pursuit of self gain is now a favorite past time of his, and he does enjoy climbing this ladder of the gods every time an opportunity presents itself.

After he began to realize he could bend his responsibilities to his own personal advantage, he had less of a difficult time making these unethical decisions to benefit himself. In fact, he relished the opportunities. Not all the time was it motivated by his own sense of greed however.

Voluptate was a beautiful girl in life, and this did not change in death. He knew many things about her before she appeared to him in death, as the battles that raged in her father's lands were a constant source of souls pouring into his afterlife and a place he found himself frequently in the mortal plane, striding through the aftermath of these battles, a kind of blessing he bestowed to those that fell honorably in combat. He knew all of this was over a mortal woman, and he watched the events around Voluptate with great interest. She had not lived the life of a pure and righteous soul, and so it fell to Gaeyn to judge her appropriately. Instead, he fell in love with the girl, and took the girl to the other gods. As the child of a god and a victim of murder, although she had lived her life in vice, the others took pity on Voluptate and decided to make her one of the transcended gods, and Gaeyn married her son after.

Biography: Maxentios has always been and will always be, or at least that's what it sais. Maxentios dosn't dispute anyones claim to anything, it's only purpose is to ruin everything and it often concludes deals with other gods to corrupt something that would normally be in their domain and use it against some other god. Maxentios arguably has no gender and often switches his appearence between genders and sometimes even appearing as animals or spirits. It will often take the form of something beautiful and holy in order to lure things into corruption, with it's favoured appearence being that of a holy paladin. Maxentios is "special" in some regards, as it's domain technically dosn't exist. In truth, Maxentios uses corrupted creatures, powers and items from other gods domains, with his only true original power being that of corrupting things.

Biography: The goddess has existed since before time itself(it's an expression and it sounds cool, please deal with it), and is the creator of water. She intended for it to be calm, still, to bring life, to be helpful. Unfortunately for her... something went wrong, and it took on other attributes. Deadly. Unpredictable. Wild. The goddess changed, and became two divided personalities, one taking the name Shiara and one taking the name Kuyo, one calm and creative, the other passionate and destructive.

Physical Age: A bit younger than the universe, though his appearance is that of a middle-aged man, around their mid thirties.

Core Concept: Bountiful Supplies
Favored Appearance: His natural appearance, that of a mermanesque being, is his most favored appearance. It allows for easy identification of the Lord of Fertility. There are times where he appears as a tall man with a braided beard, carrying a sack of fish and grains.
Biography: Emerging from the darkness of the void, Naḫāšu used his powers in tandem with those of Fortitude Immortalis to fill the early world with creatures. While Immortalis created the bodies, Sortarr granted the beings the ability to multiply indefinitely. After the creation of the creatures of the world, Naḫāšu decided to return to the realm of the gods and get to work shaping his realm of existence. Naming it The Vale of Plenty, His realm was filled to the brim with water, fish, grains, wines, game, and fruits to represent the bountiful nature of his powers. The faithful would be allowed to enter his realm after a life of devotion to his name. He is in opposition to those beings who destroy or corrupt, for those beings are in direct opposition to the concept of Fertility. He is allied to those beings which represent life, for fertility is an aspect of life.
