I like your idea of the "living ships". I wanted to implement that into the Drathians once the Mind Flower had bloomed, but you beat me to it. XD You wouldn't mind if their designs are similar to yours, would you? I don't want you to think I'm just blatantly stealing your ideas.

I wouldn't mind at all.

Ugh. Living ships. It seems the Axiom Knights will have to purge them.

I really want to see a confused legion of your knights boarding the ship only to be magically locked in a room and slowly digested.

Yaaay! As I have said, the few worlds I am currently harvesting are in the far galactic east, all scattered and spread quite randomly, whilst out fleets are gathering just outside of the galaxy, other than one fleet which is located to the far galactic south.

Who said they will be boarding it? Your ships will be easy targets for the primary batteries of my battlestars.

Can you please, I don't know, add something on that map I linked? It doesn't have to be something perfect, a point, a line something. We'll have a big war in the galaxy soon, and a vague galactic east isn't really helpful.

I didn't actually get a link in you post about the map, but if you provide it I can spend a few minutes mapping out where out occupied worlds and fleets are.

Some borders of the major Hiveminds. Remember, only a few of the worlds in those circles are claimed, all of which are scattered. The circles are more of "areas of activity" where you can expect to find some Zektan. Also remember that there are massive fleets east of the milky way, and that this is but the edge of the empire (If you count their land in deep space as part of their empire.)

Well, I'm okay with it, but you should know that:

Since some of your fleets seem to be occupying planets that belong to the Sovereign Colonies of Mankind, since you are near my borders, and since you are dangerously close to the Holy Terra, you might be one of the first objectives of the Great Crusade. It's your choice, but you have been warned.

Aye, though you will find it difficult to invade my lands, mainly due to the fact that we will be long gone the second we hear of an approaching fleet bigger than us.
Also, prepare to have The Holy Terra EATEN BY GIANT SPACE TERMITES MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

First of all, it will be hard to run away from fleets that can perform FTL jumps once every few minutes.

Then, you will never have the Holy Terra. No alien shall ever be in the light of the Holy Sol. The moment you enter the Holy Sol System, you will condemn your entire race to annihilation. I am willing to do everything, including xenocides in order to stop the aliens from getting there.

We will hide in the warp, and as we are very speed based I feel I can assume our Strangers can bend space quickly enough to keep away from you.

And I swear on my dirty little termite soul that not only will we gaze upon your so-called holy Sol, but we shall snuff out its light and devour your oh-so-precious Earth. We shall litter it with tiny little eggs and rise from the earth to slaughter your race and convert you into more space termites! Maybe, once your dead, I will be so kind as to name a Hivemind after you.

Nope. Believe me, you won't be able to run away.

You're just threatening the most powerful human state out there, little buggy. It won't be good for your health. My battlestars will teach you a good lesson. Technologically, you're in the stone age compared to me. We will make your race yield.

We will never yield! Viva la resistance! Hit and run till the end!!!

Eh, maybe your right. We should probably run off and guy enslave some smaller races before going after Terra, maybe even blitz a few of your colonial settlements before you can respond. Who knows what we shall do, other than negotiate, We will never negotiate. Anyway, just remember that unless you want to glass every single planet we pass there is always going to likely be one or two eggs you missed, we're resilient that way. All it takes is somewhere dark, and egg and a few years to eventually birth a new hivemind that can just come barreling out of some remote colonial jungle of yours when you least expect it to get me some more biomass. I am really just hoping that you will be too overextended with other wars to notice a tiny alien threat on one of your borders, until suddenly it's too late to just wipe the floor with us once you respond in force.

1. You can't attack any Colonial planet/ship/thing without the High Command noticing. The Colonial Defense Network connects all the S.C.A.F. computers. The moment you enter my territory, we will now.

2. I have one of the most powerful AI's in the known universe. Scanning an entire planet for some eggs isn't a hard job. Also, considering the overpopulation the S.C.M. are suffering from, there probably isn't any place left unoccupied on my planets.

3. We are about to launch a full attack on all nations surrounding us. If you're on our borders, you're in the way.

In BSG, a small fighter jumping from a few meters away from a Galactica type battlestar, which would be like a galley compared to my ships, both in terms of size and power, severely damaged that battlestar. Yes, it was old, but anyway, jumping from near another ship will damage it, there is a spatial distortion provoked by the jump.

1. Yes, but the general point is that you will have much bigger problems if you are attacking everyone than one or two systems falling to some pesky alien threat. I would expect that you would just continue fighting, and when you could spare some men deploy them to retake the occupied planets. By then we would likely have either left or be able to lose the planet without much thought, and unless you are willing to respond to literally every single incursion we make into your land with extraordinary force than I can assure you we will be able to make a few successful raids. Also, could you specify how these systems work? I am not trying to tell you it is impossible or anything, I just want to know so that I can try and figure out some way to trick 'em.

2. Please specify how your A.I will find the eggs in the first place, once again so I can hide them. Maybe engineer some parasites. Either way, unless you routinely scan every single planet that we pass nearby I think a few would get through the cracks, and unless scanning planets after battles is common protocol it wouldn't make much sense to just start doing it when you fight these specific Xenos.

1. I have those nice things called Automated Defense Systems. Let's see how you will fight them.

2. I am an overpopulated nation, that really needs resources. No matter how few raids you will do, they will be taken seriously. No planet is alone, and the space isn't empty. As soon as you attack one planet, the surrounding systems will find out. Also, as I mentioned during the previous thread, ever since the Secession Wars, the Colonials are using a simple tactic. A lot of becaons, filled with sensors, are released all throughout the Colonial Space, for the monitoring of the space traffic.

3. All the computers in the Colonies are synchronized into the Colonial Defense Network, now overseen by the AI Alice. The CDN allows better coordination between the SCAF, and allows a pretty fast speed of data transmission.

4. Simple scanning. The AI will examine every last piece of the planet, and eventually, the eggs, that can't exist naturally on that respective planet, will be found. Routine scans are performed pretty often, in order to find any Necromorph threats.

You can certainly try, but once Alice will realize what's happening.. well, you will see.
