Your claims are kind of excessive. You don't actually expect to reconquer all of Italy and Algeria and Egypt and Spain, right? That would go directly agaisnt several nations' interests.

That would certainly be nice, but for now, I am only interested in the Balkans and in the Italian peninsula.

Tracian Empire wrote:So, yeah, there are some problems with that new app.

First, I would like to mention that my Roman Empire isn't the Byzantine Empire. The Eastern Roman Empire, more exactly the territories under the rule of the Eastern Court in Constantinople were very much Latin and Roman, even if with a big Greek influence. The Greek elements took the power during the rule of Heraclius, and that's where I changed history. Heraclius did exactly the opposite, starting a process of latinization and romanization. Now, after almost 1000 years of romanization, my Roman Empire is the most Roman and Latin thing you can find out there. A Roman, Latin and Orthodox Roman Empire.

Now, we have a small problem. From what I read, the creation of this Italian state was possible only because of:
498 C.E. East Roman troops are convinced by a surviving western Roman legion to abandon the East roman commands in favor of Reestablishing Rome.(Ugh say that ten times fast)

So, from what I know, around that time, the ERE had no territory in Italy. After the death of the Western Roman Emperor, Zeno I declared himself the sole Emperor and made another barbarian ruler Theodoric, beat that Odoacer guy. That Theodoric ruled over Italy as a vassal of the Roman Emperor.
I said that I was going to follow the history of the ERE until Heraclius. Which means that Justinian existed and took back Italy. Which means that we have a problem here.

Then, another problem I noticed is territorial. Crete. I only now noticed that it doesn't belong to the Roman Empire. It might have not been clear from my stupid map claim, by since I have Cyprus, I was also claiming Crete. Even if we agree that because of that, I won't have any current claim on Crete, how did the Italians took it? In real life, it was lost to Venice after the Fourth Crusade. Which was defeated here. Which means that it should have remained under my control. The problem is that the new app says:

722 C.E. Umayyad Caliphate collapses. The Angelio Family becomes the most Famous Family in Italian Controlled Land. Crete is captured.

According to my history, the Romans and the Neo-Akkadians stopped the Arabs from invading. So Crete never fell to the Arabs. If the Italians would have took it, they would have fought the Roman Empire.

Then, there would also be another problem. The whole Crusade thingies and other things that happen around Crete, couldn't have happened even with the Italians in the control of the island. With the Roman Empire surviving, it was always a big power in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. It couldn't have possibly ignored all of this things for centuries.

Hey pal real quick im on my stupid phone again, in your history says

"(I will go with the history of the Roman Empire/Byzantium until 610.)
In 610, Emperor Heraclius decided to keep the Empire's language to Latin. Inspired by the original Roman Empire, more changes are made, including the creation of the Province System(similar to the Thema System). Latin is used more an more, and the Imperial Authority tries to push the Latin and the Roman culture in front of the Greek ones."

Therefore my changes before 610 are viable

The eastern Roman empire held parts of southern italy at the time RL

As for the next problem of the Umayyed caliphate collapse it fell to the Fatimid Caliphate in 722 IRL

As for crete simple took it when both other sides of the conflict were spent from fighting one another

So do to weakened forces on crete i took it and fortified it before Roman empire could send reinforcements

I am sorry, but that is not true. The Eastern Roman Empire had no troops in Italy at the time. Only under the rule of Justinian the Great, in 535, General Belisarius was sent with troops to take Italy back. Even if there would have been Eastern Roman troops there, I don't see why they would betray the Eastern Court for some foederati general.

Then, even let's say, the forces on Crete were weakened, I don't see how the Roman Empire would allow its biggest island be conquered, without making anything. My Roman Empire isn't the weak Byzantine Empire, but it's really a power in the Eastern Mediterranean.

I understand you are a regional power but even regional powers can loose territory, plus you didnt claim it as I did so I had to make a reason why Italy had it. As for the east roman escapades in italy, you didnt cover the time period so a little creativity and some dynasty creation and my nations predecessor was born

Well, technically, I claimed it, just the OP didn't understand it for my map. Since I don't want to seem annoying, I will give it to you, but you need a good reason. To take a territory that would open your way to the heart of the empire, you should have beaten the Roman Empire really, really bad.

And, yeah, I covered it. I said that I will follow the history of the ERE/Byzantine Empire until Heraclius, which cover those little escapades.

In my personal opinion, the Arabian Peninsula and that Persia/Iran are empty places that would be cool to be covered. Of course, my opinion might be different then the OP's opinion.

I'll get a post up today.

Regardless, I hope people realize this isn't like a 2000 AH rp, if parts of a nation is already claimed (e.g. Canada), there won't be something like "Kingdom of Canada" or something.

Well, I am not sure about the history, so I can't say if something like that could exist or not. Of course, a state like that would be the enemy of my Roman Empire, as I plan on colonizing Egypt, but it would be interesting.

So, Russia, what would you say if the glorious Roman Empire and the mighty Russian Kingdom would divide the two Romanian principalities between themselves? Before Austria tries to do something.

Russia could take Moldavia, and I will take Wallachia. The problem would be Dobruja, as it is pretty much in the middle.

Dude, we could definitely use some Arabic nations.

However... everyone seems to be shotgunning for Egypt, which makes me think that giving that land to you would upset a lot of folks. minus Egypt, and you have yourself a case. It is in good time, too, since we DEFINITELY need more Islam now that Ottoman is not here in our AH XDDD

Yo Russia, have you thought about my offer yet?

1) side with the Mongols who will probably contest your Siberian claim and have yourself one heck of angsty Korean on your eastern coast.

2) side with the Koreans who will help you in a pincer attack should Mongols contest your Siberian claim, plus you have an eastern ally with powerful navy that can help you with inevitable conflict with the Japanese?

Option 1 or 2?

Create the Alaska Republic, then try to secure lands further south through diplomacy and war :P I also want to secure all of modern day Canada
