FT, but roam where i please
It does not reflect my real life world political views, which are considerably less authoritarian and more moderate
Refer to my factbook for canon, it´s however out of date, and badly written. So take it with a grain of salt

In the interest of shaking things up (too much chat, needs more RP) I throw this up as an offering. Its a RP prospect Arana and me are working on. One we'd like to get most of the Multiverse involved on, or at least aware of. I encourage everyone to take a look at the info we've developed so far, and throw in their own two cents. Like I said, I hope this could be an interesting project we can all help on

Name: TBD by Arana
Concept: TBD by Arana
Genre(s): Fantasy, Steampunk, Action, Adventure, 20th Century Noire(?)
Type (Character/Faction/Nation): Character with Faction Involvement
Detailed Description: TBD by Arana

Plot
We're working on this. So far, we want characters to be involved in the turmoil thats happening in the backdrop of both countries, which has poured into the cities that each of them live in. Class struggle, race war, nationalism saber rattling; all of it bringing the reality of a looming Chaos v. Order|Might v. Right struggle to their front door.

What we need is a specific events and ideas to develop this idea into an actual story line. As it stands, its very sandboxy.

Time & Locale
Victorian Era-ish. Sometime between the late Industrial Revolution, and the turn-of-the-century 20th century (1920s). This world would be in the midst of a transition from the Polish Poise of the past, to the Glit & Glam of the Roaring 20's. Adding Steampunk to this, theres lots of prospects for wacky thing-a-mah-bobs and magic zeppelin shenanigans.

Exterior Settings
Aroel, an angelic-republic of staunch Victorian values that is at odds with the modern Swing sub-culture that is brewing right under the ruling classes stiff upper lip.
Sullust, an demonic-monarchy thats embraced the Roaring 20's, maybe a little too well. Enough to say, neither of these nations like each other, and have had past beef. At some point, this will be addressed with bayonets & fisticuffs.

Interior Settings
Aroe City - Capitol of Aroel.
Nua Annwn, Gehenna, Magmell(working titles)- Capitol of Sullust.

Like typical cities in this era, there's a massive divide in wealth and power among its residents, largely split along racial lines. Angel & Demon mount the top (or bottem) of the totem pole, depending on the nation. Humans and other Faery peoples are below each, strung about in a convoluted and sometimes confusing social statuses in a list of whose-better-than-who.

Some more insight into this from Arana:
Being a nation of angels in a 1920s setting, it shouldn't be too surprising that Aroel has some issues with racism. Like, 1920s US problems with racism. There are five races in Aroel, at various places on the social ladder; from top to bottom, these are angels, humans, fae, lycans, and demons. While angels live in the nice, opulent parts of the city, humans and fae live in more middle class areas (so basically, modern day slums), and lycans and demons live in slums and tenements. The division has led to racial conflict between the Knights of the Holy Dawn, an angelic supremacist group quietly supported by the government and police, and the Demon Clans, a loose union of demonic criminal organizations, not unlike the Mafia.

Factions & Groups
Demon Clans - A Union of Demon Mafia, like a super PAC of crime. And you can't have this RP without a couple Al Capones.
Knights of the Holy Dawn - Angelic supremacists. Your basic 19th century WASP (White, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant), but with super powers. I assume they are a stand-in for Fascists.

Races & Demographics
Republic of Aroel:
Humans (50%)
Angels (16.7%)
Fae (16.7%)
Lycans (8.3%)
Demons (8.3%)

Aroe City:
Humans (40%)
Demons (25%)
Fae (15%)
Lycans (10%)
Angels (10%)

Kingdom of Sullust:

Looks quite interesting.

If you need place names, might I suggest Valond, Ildis, or Odarga?

Because I've had a 10 hours of sleep :p

We'll definitely include them for possible city locations. Thanks Charli.

More specifically, we're needing ideas for settlement divisions, like in your average RPG (Market Place, Redlight District, Administrative Ward, etc.) After we have a list of the places characters can go in the city, we might get creative and give them specific names.

Also, warning for a bit of a rant, but i need to get this of my mind, like, i have not seen eye to with Charli on many occasions, you have your opinions about me(most of them not to flattering i would imagine), and i have my opinions about you. But with a bit of empathy/work, you can also understand as to why Charli acts the way she does, after all, i have no reason to believe that she does not have, and Charli will have to excuse the term, i mean no offence, Mental Issues. With that in mind, am i the only one that believes that some care has to be taken? or at the very least, try to take that into account?

Now, i understand that not everyone can be friends, but at the very least, everyone should try to treat each other with some base-line of respect. Especial in a group like this, are we not suppose to be a fun loving community, and not a shit-posting, flaming, insulting collection of absolute tossers? I for one prefer the former, and it saddens me to see how vile and toxic some posters here are(to the point that i start to question if they are still working inside of the rules). You might be the best god-damned fucking writer on the planet, but as others have said, respect is earned individually(and has in my mind a fuckworh more to do perosnaly the ability to write), and thus far Neros, i must be frank, i am not impressed.

there we go, not sure if anyone understands this mess, but i got it out of my head(sorry for any typos, Sleep Deprivation does not help my dyslexia)

Personally, I don't have negative opinions of anyone on this site as far as P2TM is concerned. Whether this is due to my own optimism, or because I haven't been present to see the transgressions of others is up for debate. And that's why I asked before posting this, to see if there was something I had missed.

But as far as I can tell, Charli has done nothing to warrant the amount of frankly rude posts she has been the target of. The most I can see is that her posts can get erratic at points, and her style of making each line separate instead of as a paragraph makes her posts kind of bloated. But none of this merits the hate she seems to attract.

Now I don't expect this post or anything else for that matter to change the minds of her detractors, but I think it would be best if they they could just keep their opinions to themselves. Or better yet, explain why they're annoyed so Charli could attempt to make changes for the better? At the very least, it wouldn't cause the forum to erupt into flames.

Now, back to the RPs.

Main
Aroe City - Capitol of Aroel.
Nua Annwn, Gehenna, Magmell(working titles)- Capitol of Sullust.

Possible Locales
Odarga
Valond
Ildis
Vespere
Ys

Capitol City (name TBA)

Got to admit, probably not my cup of tea, but I still wish it success

We'll definitely include them for possible city locations. Thanks Charli.

More specifically, we're needing ideas for settlement divisions, like in your average RPG (Market Place, Redlight District, Administrative Ward, etc.) After we have a list of the places characters can go in the city, we might get creative and give them specific names.

The Tophat Empire wrote:Charli is a special type of human, i think that is the best way to say it

I agree 100% with Tophat, even if he belongs to the latter group he mentioned in his post in my honest opinion (especially the tossers bit; keeping it real). I personally don't even see why everyone who has an issue with someone try to goad the other into a flame war. This isn't even about respect for me, but acting like mature, rational youth and adults. I have no opinion on the bit between Charlia and Neros. I'm either cool with or cool-neutral with both. None have ever ran up on me talking recklessly, so I have no reason to hate. We should all strive to make the craft/hobby we all enjoy more...enjoyable. RP. When we're here, we're writers with our own muses, tastes, styles and stories. We can only be as good as our community, and it's 2016. Let's strive to make this community a fun-loving, comfortable, and positive one for everybody!
Love me some eastern fantasy. If you're a fan of wuxia, xianxia, or jidai (or eastern fantasy in general), give me a holler!

Geh! Looks rad. I don't even like steampunk normally but this sounds really cool.

Oh and I'm irritated I had to read the same bullshit argument for like the third time. Neros and Atria I like you guys fine but the way you keep going after Charlia is shitty. I know it would be best to move on and not drag this out but I wanna be clear on where I stand on this so I'm being a little selfish.
