TW games haven't been the best recently, and I never liked them much.

Warhammer Universalis or Warhammer Kings, though...

Eh. Warhammer doesn't fit so well with CK and Uni. You kinda need the epic battles of TW.
Plus Rome 2 was pretty good and Shogun was freaking spectacular.

Rome 2 was like The Sims 4 - cutting out important features from the previous game and adding some not really important ones trying to make up for it. Haven't tried Shogun yet.

Besides, it you want truly spectacular wars, you can't get any more grand than grand strategy.

Yet the battles are where the meat of Warhammer is. You want to see that Grail Knight charge break the orc lines. You want to see your caster call down comet of Cassendora right on their biggest creature. And you want to see your swarms of ratmen or zombies overwhelm their lines.

From what I've seen, which is admittedly very little, it looks pretty sweet. Though we haven't seen too much gameplay yet, I'm fairly sure this'll be a pretty hard one to screw up.

There's more to warfare than just battles. It's a type of art.

Yes. But thats half the fun of games like Total War for me. And with Warhammer, having a Total War game without the ability to play battles is like having a board game of halo where you peacefully negotiate with the flood and covenant.

Agreed. Ensemble should be applauded for their ability to bring an easy-to-control RTS to consoles, and with a brand name IP at that.

Instead, they were dissolved and some were absorbed into 343, while others lost their jobs. It's a damn shame.

I'm going to include modern vehicles later on, because there were no rules stating what the time stamp is.

But mostly those will be bigger competitions, because not everyone has the money to buy a cold-war or modern tank

Not sure, but we should both take care of the RP whenever we can. Since we're both OP's, that's pretty much a given.
