I concur with this statement. I started it from Part 3, since that's the most iconic part, though I rifled through Part 1 and 2 later as they are the parts that established the lore. I honestly started it just because of the memes. I feel myself at first trying to bear with the bizarre (heh) nature of the series, before I started unconsciously posing at any chance.
