Premise: A alien race from the Megellic Clouds rises to power thanks to reverse engineering Emperian technology and now threatens their colonies and are on the brink to building a portal to invade the Andromeda so they can get their crystals that they are addicted too.
This account must be deleted. The person behind it is a racist, annoying waste of life that must be shunned back to whatever rock he crawled out from.

Government Structure: The Confederation senate runes scientific and foreign diplomacy while the internal worlds generally run their own affairs unless they are told by the Senate to follow its policies. Senate duties are for the good of all worlds in the Confederation. Their powers are broad but by precedent are weak and rarely used.

Capital Planet/Place: New Engia
Social Information: Engi society is extremely capitalistic and social. Based off of the mechanical implants used for SLT travel most Engis have cybernetic implants. This allows them to interact via their brain chips. Their lives are highly interconnected to the web. One of the few major Senate duties is to protect Engis from hackings or cyber viruses. Their lives are based off of the Atomic-Era Earth. Most dwellings are very open to expose a lot of sunlight. Engis are naturally friendly and curious beings, but highly competitive.

Foreign Policy: The Confederation's normal goals are to encourage colonization, arrange trade and scientific deals with foreign powers and obtain knowledge. Engis are very friendly and readily make first contact.
Military Information:

Structure- The Confederation Fleet gains its vessels by donations by member worlds. The Admiralty is elected by the Confederation Senate. From there own volunteers or enlistees are paid and trained by the navy. These members can receive promotions or ordered to take command of fleets. The navy is mostly independent of the Confederation Senate in order to prevent buerocratic issues. This being said, they must obey any senate orders.

Policy- The Confederation Fleet's objectives are to protect member world assets, the Confederation and keep the peace between member worlds. In actuality they just secure Engi worlds whims and deture outside powers from attacking the Confederation. Never has it been used to keep the peace between member worlds.

Layout- There are only a few type of vessels in any Engi world's possession. Every vessel carries missiles, mass driver(s), thick hull armor, marines, shuttles, point defense, radio, radar, temperature sensors, FTL (dur), fusion power plant(s), radiators, fusion engines, computers and crew accommodations. Some ships lack gravity fields. Most ships have AI hacking units to try to get into enemy systems and carry out tasks in battle. Ships are also designed to avoid radar detection and keep cool. Their hulls are insulated to prevent massive heat loss. Some vessels may carry lasers for close range. As a result some ships are covered in reflective surfaces to minimize damage. Point defense systems are mostly depleted uranium rounds or other types of metal. Lasers mounted to the hull are sometimes used in point defense. These are the following:

Scout Ship: Lightly armored, built to hop into a system and out to gain intelligence on a system. Can power down and cool its hull to 3 K for nearly an hour, making it difficult to detect.

Planetary Assault Transport: Carries lots of troops, heavy weapons and can provide orbital bombardment and support for invading planets. Not very armored.

Frigate: Carrying lots of point defense, missiles and mass drivers frigates carry a lot of armor and can take a beating. They are designed to alter course and fight in any direction. These vessels usally make the outer rim of a formation and with their computers can join up their point-defense abilities.

Cruiser: Carrying a basic amount of armaments and hull armor. They can go on deep interstellar missions to find new races or scout systems on their own. They contain enough space within their hulls to colonize planets, when prepared properly.

Battleship: With thick hulls, bristling with point defense, missiles and mass drivers these vessels pack a punch and can take a beating. They can be the platform for marines and planetary assults

Dreadnought: These massive vessels carry the most amount of arms and armor. Basically flying forts these vessels take a lot to move and power. However they can carry a lot of troops and drones. These mass drivers can launch a small projectile .96 C with ease.

History:Over the Engi Civilization, three types of governments arose to dominate the planet. The Republic of Haal, The People’s Republic of Choee and the Empire of Engio. These three nations were all stable and supported civil rights and liberties. All resembled the “Atomic Era” of Planet Earth, and lived in relative peace with each other, due to the threat of all out nuclear war. Each nation had large arsenals of nuclear weapons, and none of them desired to have them be used. However, they all competed to master and discover new technologies. The space race for them never ended, with each nation trying to land, colonize and claim resources, planets and moons in outer space. However, soon a terrible discovery was made. The Engi’s discovered their star was going to die. Using their stockpile of Nuclear Weapons, Asteroid mines and other resources, the three nations competed in launching Interstellar Craft. These craft used Nuclear Pulse Technology, and were assembled in orbit. By using Embryos, Deep Hibernating technology and integrating technology into the Engi physiology, the three nations set out into the stars in desperation. Two thousand years passed with the nations launching their ships, and then, without warning, Engio went Nova, killing 10 Billion Engies and destroying their Home system. In total, 500 Colonial ships were launched colonizing roughly 62 worlds, with four ships per star. Each ship has a crew of 100, with thousands of embryos from Engies and animal and plant life from their home system. These ships took roughly 100 years to reach their targets. Here the crew were awoken, embryos raised and planets, moons and other bodies colonized.
War of Unification and the Formation of the Engi Confederation
After communication with their home system was lost, the colonies were self-governing. However, some colonies wanted to put all of the colonies under one government. The sides of the war were determined by who wanted to unify and who didn’t, not based on Ideology. With non FTL communication and ships, the war lasted a thousand years, with battles few and far between, but lethal. Alliances were formed, broken and reformed. New technologies were developed to protect planets and moons, with Orbiting Defense platforms becoming the norm for all colonies. However, a third side arose, one perching a joint government but self-governing planets. Soon the Engi Confederation was born, meeting on New Engia. The government let the colonies govern themselves, but they had to follow the laws and regulations set out by the government. It is a Representative Democracy, and soon after its formation there was a golden age, with FTL communication, the anisable, and FTL drives being decoupled, along with other technologies improving Engi life.

Or just “Engi” for short, these creatures are mammals that originate from the Planet Engia. They are Silicon based life-forms, and can resist high temperatures and relatively cool fires. However, because of this, they require more energy to metabolize and carry out other life functions, due to the fact that silicon is harder to break down then carbon. This also means that carbon based organic molecules do not interact with the body, and that a modified form of Glucose, with Silicon instead of Carbon, is used to gain energy. Their DNA, unlike that of most organisms, is left handed, making common viruses in other species that are right handed have no effect on them. However, viruses from Engia do affect Engis, but their immune system can fight off most of these diseases without medication. Engi’s require Oxygen to carry out Cellular Respiration. Due to the lack of foliage on the planet, Engi’s gain their green skin pigment from chlorophyll in their skin cells that is used to make the food the organisms cannot obtain from the environment. When food is plentiful and or during long periods of not being in the sun however, the dark green goes away, and the organism must rely of food from other sources. Female and male Engies look mostly the same. Females however can give birth to three offspring in six months. Engi’s can survive in Earth like environments, are resistance to burns and higher temperatures, but they have a difficult time in colder environments.

Physical Description/image: Tall, slender, pale(ish) leathery skin, pointed ears similar to that of Romulans from Star Trek, roughly humanoid, canine teeth, bony cranial crust jutting from forehead which is often emblazoned with symbolic tattoos
Society: Martian society is based primarily around war. Skilled warriors often take positions among the highest ranks of society, quickly becoming Generals, Field Marshals, or even Hegemonic Advisers. Hunting is second to war, with a high value placed on the skill of the hunt. Martians will often dispatch several Hunters to a less advanced planet in a competition of hunting to see who can get the most valuable and exotic kill. It is believed that, thousands of years ago, a team of hunters went rogue and led a group of primitive Humans on Earth to blieve they were gods. These legends were passed down and formed the basis of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Mezoamerican, East Asian, and Norse Mythology.
History: Long before Humanity walked the fertile plains of Earth, a grand Republic flourished on its nearby neighbor, Mars. However, as time drew closer to the present, Mars became unable to satisfy the ever-growing demands of life, as it was abused by the Republic's industry. Finally, at about 10,000 B.C.E. (in Earth Years), the civilization was forced to flee the dying planet, and the remaining Martians wiped each other out in a brutal thermonuclear war that discarded the last hopes of life along with the remaining thin shreds of atmosphere. As they left, the Martians on board their massive worldships experienced a Communist Revolution, and by the time they landed on New Mars, a Communist Hegemony had been set up. Ever since then, the war-loving, blood-thirsty Martian Hegemony has deliberately sought violence and bloodshed.

A few centuries after its creation, it invented FTL drives and quickly began colonizing the nearby star systems, spreading war and bloodshed with it.

Society and Cultural information: Martian culture is centered mainly around War and Hunting, both considered great arts. Martian society has a great many culturally unique dishes, including deep-fried Pijono intestines (fried in Beakfruit oil). It is customary in Martian society to wear a sash to formal gatherings that shows the number of successful hunting-related kills an individual has achieved, and/or the number of victorious battles in which said individual has taken place. Martians with sashes with less medals or no sash are to bow to Martians with more medals.

Strengths: Its populace is loyal and readily prepared to die for the greater good of the Hegemony. The Hegemony possesses incredible and terrible technologies, including Walkers (similar to the Tripods in War of the Worlds) and massive starships.
Weaknesses: The hegemony does not have very many allies, and its enslaved population occasionally starts miniature rebellions.

Colonization/expansion: The Hegemony has been expanding for millennia and continues to do so to this day. It often Terraforms worlds to fit the Martian biology better.

Diplomacy: It is rare that Diplomacy will be used, as The Hegemony will kill or enslave all that it does not see as honorable. Any 'honorable' species will be spared and may trade with the Hegemony.

Strengths: Its sheer size, advanced tech, die-hard warriors, and brilliant military minds make it a formidable foe. Few captured warriors can have information extracted from them, for leading officers often employ tactics of 'Truthful Misinformation' (so the captured soldier truly believes something that the general knows not to be true) and most soldiers with any helpful information have surgically implanted high explosives near their intestines, which they will not hesitate to detonate when captured.
Weaknesses: The Martian tendency to fight to the last man can be exploited when forces are being commanded by newer, less experienced generals. However, older and more well-seasoned ones can often hold back their urges enough to initiate a strategic retreat.

I'm thinking of uniting the Dark Jedi Republic, the Mandalorian Enclave, and the Communist Reich into a Trinity, but should I put in the government type for the Trinity altogether, or the individual government types?

If they are united by the start just do for Trinity. You can go into detail about how the trinity works then, but you don't have to do everything in triplicate this way.

BRIEF HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: The origins of the Covenant go back to when the Cho'Dosans were forced to abandon their original homeworld. As for the reason why, the Cho'Dosans were in a war with the Zorgon, a rival species that invaded Cho'Dosan space in an attempt to enslave them. The Zorgon launched a surprise attack on the Covenant homeworld and bombarded its surface with nuclear weapons, turning the planet into a barren wasteland. The Cho'Dosans who managed to escape fled to other star systems that were under Cho'Dosan control. Shortly afterwards, the central Cho'Dosan government collapsed, and individual star systems were forced to fend for themselves.

The Zorgon continued their invasion, but eventually, the war turned into a stalemate, with neither side able to make advances. It was then that the Cho'Dosans realized that in order to defeat the Zorgon, they would have to unite into one nation and combine their forces. The Cho'Dosans signed an agreement which created the Covenant, and afterwards, they launched a massive offensive that pushed the Zorgon all the way back to Zorgon space. After many bloody battles, the Cho'Dosans successfully took Klandulor, the Zorgon homeworld, and bombarded it so thoroughly that the planet was rendered uninhabitable. The Zorgon attempted to surrender, but the Cho'Dosans refused and instead wiped out the entire Zorgon species as revenge for destroying the Cho'Dosan homeworld.

After the war ended, the Cho'Dosans rebuilt their nation, and the capital being relocated to a planet known as Therias.

Society and Cultural information: The Cho'Dosans are very nationalist. They are willing to do everything in their power to make sure that the Covenant succeeds in its objectives. They will even die for the Covenant. They are also very imperialistic and have a desire to expand their territory across the galaxy. Otherwise, society is generally relaxed. Most things are legal, so as long as it does not impede the citizen from doing their job, injure or kill another citizen, or dishonor the government.
Languages (Note we all have translators): Standard Cho'Dosan
Economy: The on-going civil war has proven to be a burden to the Covenant's economy, but the economy is nowhere near collapse.
Industry: The Covenant is very industrialized.

Military Information: The Covenant Military was founded shortly after the Covenant itself was created. It started out as a conjunction of all the fleets of the factions who had joined the Covenant, and thus, it had a lot of diversity. However, the military have now been standardized and is much more uniform. The infantry consists of highly trained Cho'Dosan soldiers. They generally have very good weapons, armor, and other equipment. Ships are designed primarily to last a long time in combat and take as much damage as possible before being destroyed.

I'd have to say the Vresh are most likely Tier 5 or Tier 4 tech, since most everything they use is biologicially-based. Population spread would totally put them at Type VI Type V. I guess they'd be an Interstellar Power, but that one's kind of hard to do.

I hate sounding like the special snowflake when I do apps for the Vresh, but they really don't fit into the mold, since I did the major no-no in FT roleplay and I fucking made it work.

I would have to say no to Type VI as each type leads to significant advantages over Type V and down the line. Type V really is the boundary as VI makes it pretty much impossible to be taken down by lower type civilizations.
