A metaphorical fortress, as in "it's really goshdarn hard to capture".
Also, I'm working on a post where Cerberus will have a chance to talk to the Walking Men

Trying to breach the wall would be difficult without, you know, blowing up. Everyone's stuck just taking potshots at each other while the Vultures attempt to clear the mines.

What he said! Also Flab, for the forth or fifth time this is not a medieval RP, the vultures wouldn't be using a battering ram on a city surrounded by mines. Also Salida is a city, not a castle, so their isn't a courtyard withing the walls just more city. Also the Vultures actions as a whole are under New Grestin's control, so please let him handle what the vulture army is actually doing. The man has plans that don't need anybody accidentally screwing it up. So
Now to finally finish that post I've been working on.

That does not make them immortal or infallible, especially since mercenaries usually flee or betray their employers if the tide turns against them.

Grestin, having the first shot at dictating Vulture behavior, set the entire situation as a mire for both side. The Vultures have yet to effectively clear the mine field much less breach the wall. If you wanna take some shots and a Vulture blows up, then by all means, but don't ignore everyone else.
Also, only a few people know about Fairview and the Walking Men's involvement. Unless Cerberus was there and/or already knew the Walking Men in some close capacity then this is a minor case of Metagaming.

As far as Fairview is concerned, you ruined an important plot twist. If you want me to edit the conflicting post to explain how the small group of Vultures that breached the walls managed to get past the minefield, I will immediately make the changes.

You could have your character in Salida having been there since before the Vultures' siege.

Gotseza wrote:I am vry curious on this RP, how hard is it to create a group this late in the stage and is it just set in Colorado? I was thinking of doing something like the Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout, but rather have a military outpost of men who broke away from the "newly" fascist US Government in efforts to fighting for democracy and order.
If not, I have a character idea based around a Smuggler.
