It is a character RP it just happens that most characters belong to certain factions or are from areas controlled by a faction. Nobody actually controls any of them though aside from OP/co-OP.

I've already starting pondering about an India vs. China story line. Going international would be fun. However let's not get ahead of ourselves as this kick ass edition of Outbreak should be going on for a long time.

I thought the OP said most settlements remain small. Makes sense given at this point the largest sustainable political entity, given available food, water, manpower and technology would be no more than a city state. Yet there are very large territories here from what I'm seeing. I can understand Texas being a "loose confederation" but are you guys sure this is...right?

I think Bei agreed to this a few pages ago. Also, territory doesn't have to be filled with people to be claimed, if there's nothing else in it.

I guess I'm confused about what's going on in these territories. My original thought was set hierarchy, interdependent infrastructure, collective defense and self sufficiency.

I think solid colors meant that and stripes mean "loosely organized but unified".

Also how your character reacting to seeing a former Remnants soldier? My character was in the USMC as an 0311 prior to the Outbreak and up until the US collapsed then joined the Remnants before returning to work for Boston (his hometown). He wasn't an officer, just an enlisted grunt who tries to hide his history but I'm sure he'd recognize your character's name and past if it was brought up.

You are correct. But it's made more believable by the fact that some of the largest ones, such as California Empire and Vancouver commonwealth are very unstable if I understand correctly. Not sure about Dixie, but it would have to be quite disorganized and/or unstable if it's that size.

That describes the Massachusetts-New Orleans alliance, but apparently some groups just try not to shoot those of the same banner.

Oh I can't wait to see his character's reaction to Westley. Not only would he consider him a rebel, opposing Naval rivalry wouldn't help lol

The nations I created are solid nations, just like any other Old-World nation, just smaller and the larger ones are really unstable.

You know that Keegan almost obliterated Boston and eventually forced it's surrender to the Remnant (not that this was to last) in the last RP right?

Yes I know. His ideologies conflicted with that of the Remnants but he stuck with it because it was what was left of the US. When Boston jumped ship though so did he.

As I understand, he basically protected Boston regardless of who controlled it. Family man.

Exactly. He has the obnoxiously obvious accent and dirty Sox hat for a reason :lol2:

Did I mention he packs a flute in there next to a copy of A Tale of Two Cities? Needless to say, he'll be leaving the 40-pound bag behind on one of the caravan's carts.

Losing Wolfgang would be a great loss. Quite a unique character.

Other less important news, I will try to get a post up in the next few hours.

No. Keegan is strategic. He would only sacrifice himself if he knew it would take the enemy down. Plus, everybody has a lot better reason to start a fight with Keegan than he does with them.

Sounds like you didn't really touch the West Coast. Probably since it would be too much effort to sail all the way around South America (Pretty sure the Panama Canal wasn't open for business anymore) when there were so many easier targets.
