Is it bad that I just noticed that Cain hears voices?

I just never paid enough attention to non-Aspenite elements of the IC after the Vagrant joined up with the convoy, I didn't have enough time to read it all, so I didn't even realize Cain was talking to himself or Richard.

From the little I have read since then, I have got that Foley was infected, Glenwood got buttfucked by the Vultures, the caravan decided to hole up in an office building while Jen and Cain were captured, Paulson went batshit crazy, the Vagrant's friends/brothers/sexual fuckbuddies/others rallied in Aspen, and now the city is under siege.

Is this all correct?

Madison was killed. Most likely scenario now is that those who wished to leave Aspen in the first place are simply gonna cut their losses and leave. Aspen is through.

More or less, Richard(The voice in Cain's head), is a fairly recent addition to the grant skeem of things. He usually only shows up when Cain's life is in immediate danger or he's under high levels of stress.

Pretty much. People died, the town is burning, and the leader is gone. Groups are gonna be leaving, and anyone staying will be forced to leave as well as they no longer have the manpower to fix the town and make it through the winter.

Perhaps unscrupulous former cruise ship operators were selling Brits the lie of a better life in America to get wealthy. Then, once they reach America, they start selling the Americans the lie of a better life in the UK, and just keep repeating the process until their ship sinks/is sunk by a navy.

Obviously 27 years later, there are no more boats going anywhere.

Aspen convoy is most likely heading back towards Aspen.

The Remnants were strictly isolationist and had no land claims along the coastlines. While it's possible for a ship to continue on the biggest concern would be fuel as all supply lines would have been cut almost immediately. Especially so in Western Europe which was just as hard hit as the USA was. As such it is also likely that rogue military vessels would have taken as much remaining fuel as they could.
