The Brazilian citizens all together repeated loudly "All Hail Fatherland Brazil!" as if Brazil were their fatherland. The speech encouraged both pan-Brazilianism and Vargasism. The annexation of Uruguay by Brazil two years earlier was Brazil's road to status as a superpower alongside USA and USSR.

Hendrik Malan was among those who clapped for the Prime Minister's speech. As he walked up to the podium, he got out the speech his professional speechwriter had prepared. He cleared his throat, and began.

The tendency in Africa for nations to become independent, and at the same time to do justice to all, does not only mean being just to the black man of Africa, but also to be just to the white man of Africa.

We call ourselves European, but actually we represent the white men of Africa. They are the people not only in the Union but through major portions of Africa who brought civilisation here, who made the present developments of black nationalists possible. By bringing them education, by showing them this way of life, by bringing in industrial development, by bringing in the ideals which western civilisation has developed itself.

And the white man came to Africa, perhaps to trade, in some cases, perhaps to bring the gospel; has remained to stay. And particularly we in this southern most portion of Africa, have such a stake here that this is our only motherland, we have no where else to go. We set up a country bare, and the Bantu came in this country and settled certain portions for themselves, and it is in line with the thinking of Africa, to grant those fullest rights which we also with you admit all people should have and believe providing those rights for those people in the fullest degree in that part of southern Africa which their forefathers found for themselves and settled in. But similarly, we believe in balance, we believe in allowing exactly those same full opportunities to remain within the grasp of the white man who has made all this possible. He stepped down to a mix of applause, and looks of uncertainty among his fellow politicians. Ignoring them, he walked to his British counterpart.

This morning the Kingdom of Scandinavia has been declared, with King Gustav VI of Sweden as its monarch. Prime Minister Tage Erlander of Scandinavia has prepared a speech for the people of Skandinavien.

"Today, the Nordisk Vision has been achieved. The countries within Scandinavia have a long common history and the societies display many common characteristics. The historical, social, economical, cultural and political backgrounds of the countries is what constitutes the very special relationship between the peoples of Scandinavia. This union is a solid foundation on which a deeper integration and more cooperation in general can be based. Although Denmark has a very pained history with the rest of the Nordic countries, especially Sweden, I'm sure we can overcome the past through this unity. The old red and yellow Nordic flag, in medieval times used as the symbol for the Kalmar Union, is the flag for this new state. He is charged with Treason and Terrorism along with a menagerie of other minor charges including Fraud. "Let me get to the point. Britain has been pressured by the Chinese and the Soviets to not support Portugal's imperialism. While Portugal has pressured us to support them. While the future of other Commonwealth nations may be uncertain, I would like the more European nations of The Commonwealth to band together. Not under a banner of empire. No. This shall be a voluntary organisation, The Commonwealth Community. The Socialist State of New Turkmenistan is requesting state permission to begin construction of the proposed Central-Asian Railway



The new project is being proposed to the Motherland for several reasons;

(1)This new railway will allow for better trade and communication movement around Turkmenistan and fellow SSR states, increasing production and allowing for further industrialisation and resource management.

(2) This new railroad will also allow Turkmenistan and other states quick access too and from Moscow; increasing Kremlin influence. Also, message delivery on this new railway will be swift and upheld to the strictest conditions.

When approved, construction is hopped to start on the 1st of October 1962, with the New Turkmenistan section of the railway set to be complete Jun, 1963. It is recommended that the Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan all be completed in sections, with Kyrgyzstan starting August 20th 1963 along with Kazakhstan. Central Russia should begin her segment of the Railroad as soon as the central Asian Leg is completed. Turkmenistan has all materials ready for construction but requires the manpower of fellow Soviet States

Surrender of Guinea
The Portuguese army accepted the surrender of the Guinean armed forces holed up inside of the capital city of Conakry. In return for the Guinean dictator to be handed over to the Portuguese armed forces. The rapid Portuguese advance into the interior has trapped many parts of the Guinean army inside tiny pockets, where they cannot hope to breakout. The Portuguese forces occupy 50 percent of the country at the moment, including the much more populated coastal regions. While the Guinean army holds the desolate interior regions of the country. By now the Portuguese army in Guinea is made up of mostly defectors, and ethnic Guineans. The Portuguese European units were being withdrawn from the country, and more Guinean units are tasked with the invasion. The Portuguese army in Guinea has also become thoroughly Africanized. Most of the top positions in the army are held by Africans who pledged loyalty to the empire. The governor of the province of Guinea was recently sworn in as the Portuguese representative in the area. The first black man ever to be declared governor of a colony. The white minority in Guinea are ordered to give up their special privileges, and are equals to the African residents of the province. The Portuguese also promised amnesty for any Guinean army soldiers who surrender to the Portuguese army.

The Guinean commanders seeing the hopelessness of the situation in Guinea(and the fact that the Portuguese promised them a vast reserve of land). The small pockets of the Guinean armed forces trapped by the Portuguese army surrendered to the Portuguese army. The Portuguese victory in Guinea has resulted in the unification of Guinea. The Portuguese province got its borders extended, by a large amount. The people are starting to become more content because of social equality measures made by Portugal, but rebel support still remains somewhat of a problem.

Tempestade-63 tank
The Portuguese army decided to create a tank that could be better or at the very least equal to any US or Soviet produced tank. The Portuguese designers knew Portugal had vast reserves of natural resources, and a skilled tank production work force. Although, very small in size compared to other powers. The Portuguese tank had to function well in cross country battles, but urban combat measures were mostly neglected. The Portuguese designers thought the best way to design such a tank would be to produce a "glass canon" sort of vehicle. The tank is to be equipped with just enough armor to deflect Soviet, and American infantry based anti tank weapons, but the tank was unable to deflect fire from dedicated anti tank weapons. However, the Portuguese designers mitigated that by giving the tank excellent optics in order to see the enemy before the enemy was able to spot the Portuguese tanks. A large 125mm smoothbore gun was installed as the tank's main gun, capable of destroying enemy armor with ease. Turret traverse was very important to the tank in order to defeat enemy vehicles before the tank was spotted. The tank also incorporates a 12.7mm pintle mounted machine gun. Along with 2 7.62mm MG-34 coaxial machine guns. The tank has 100mm of highly sloped armor at max. The tank is capable of travelling at 40 km/h. The tank is expected to be finalized in 1963, and enter production.

Once the truck had made its way inside, it pulled into the center of one of the isles. The driver stepped out of the truck and looked on at the group of individuals whom had gathered around his truck. He gave the same hand sign that he had given to the man out side. One of the men smiled and laughed. " We have been waiting quite some time for you." The truck driver nodded and smiled back. " Lets get down to it." He had made his way to the back of the truck. He pulled key out of his jacket pocket and opened up the back of the truck. When the door had been lifted up, it revealed boxes stacked upon boxes. The truck driver hopped on top of the truck and opened up one of the boxes. He pulled out an all black grease gun. " The best armaments your friends in Iraq can provide. Dozens of grease guns and Enfield's, along with thousands of rounds and few dozen grenades." The royalists smiled at their new found treasure. " Now that we have provided, its time you do the same." The leader, the man whom had spoken to the truck driver, spoke again. " The black shirts won't know what hit them."

In a special recording studio inside of Bagdad, sat a single man and laying before him was a radio set. The man spoke into the now recording radio. " In these dark times, It becomes hard to see the light. It becomes hard to carry on. It becomes hard to see the right course to take. I am speaking to the people of Morocco, whom are living under the imperialistic rule of the Portuguese invaders. Violent street battles between the Portuguese supporters of the Black Shirts, and the Royalists occurred in the city of Rabat. The Blackshirts armed with STG-44's, and Mauser K-98 rifles engaged with the Royalist insurgency in Rabat. The casualties were roughly one to one, and the streets of Rabat soon erupted into a limited civil war. With the civilians supporting the Royalists more than the Blackshirts from the interior provinces. And, the entire city is split between the Portuguese supporters, and the Pro-Morrocan supporters. The Portuguese had to deploy the occupation forces to make sure that the city stayed under Portuguese control. The recent conflict highlights that the Portuguese strategy of occupation is not working. And, the Portuguese developed a new strategy of occupation. The Portuguese will undermine the authority that the Moroccans have using their new Destruidor De Corações campaign.
The Portuguese administration now has begun the process of rebuilding the shattered country, and the Portuguese ordered the repair, and improvement of existing sewage systems in the country. The Portuguese also made water services more widespread throughout the country making Portuguese support in the interior even higher than it was previously. The Portuguese moved the capital of the province from Rabat to Fes, where Portuguese support is soaring. In the Portuguese home front propaganda is distributed, and pro Portuguese Moroccans were allowed to preach the tyranny of the Moroccan monarchy, and how the Portuguese expedition was not a a colonial endeavor, but a liberation of an oppressed people. The Portuguese blackshirts were recognized to be poorly trained, and they received training from Portuguese regulars on how to defend Morocco. The Portuguese at this point have mostly restored public area outside of Rabat, and Casablanca where insurgents are strong, and are quickly working to make sure that local leaders are being trained to govern Morocco. The Portuguese have also worked to ensure that the Moroccans are given a basic minimum wage for work, which was somewhat higher than it was previously. The Portuguese military is also distributing supplies to displaced civilians in Rabat, and forming a perimeter around the two insurgent strongholds. The new Moroccan army was stationed near the border, and had orders to examine all travelers in or out of the country. The former Moroccan enlisted men had orders to be reintegrated to the Portuguese Morocco military, however officers for the most part came from the interior provinces. The Portuguese government also commissioned a large scale power grid for Morocco, the first African country to receive the honor. The power grid development project will be built by 4 different companies to ensure no monopoly is formed. The blackshirts slowly are making progress against the royalists through the support of the Portuguese armed forces.
The Portuguese have orders to deploy the Flechas once they are ready from training, and to infiltrate guerrilla ranks. The Portuguese also have launched a complete trade cutoff in Morocco, apart from Portugal, and its colonies to make sure no weapons get in.

The Iraqi government has become too annoying for the Portuguese government. Although, the radio broadcasts have managed to polarize the Moroccan populace further into the Royalists(mostly on the coast), and the Blackshirts(mostly in the interior). It is time to end the Iraqi government through a serious of well planned political maneuvers. First there lies Iran to the east of Iraq. They are natural enemies, and the Iranians would be more than happy to invade Iraq. However, there needs to be turmoil in Iraq for that to happen. The plan was about to be set in motion.

Humphrey listened carefully to what the Presidenr of the former-British colony of Iraq had to say. The rose of Islamism and extremism had worried him and he agreed that something had to be done to curb it's spread. The notion of a Pro-West Pan-Arab state intrigued him, but it also worried him as such as powerful state could poae a threat to British and Commonwealth interests in the future.

After he took a sip of brandy, he stood up and said, "President Najib, Britain would be happy to assist our Commonwealth kin by providing your government with the weapons and supplies it needs. We will give you the supplies requested. Of course, there shall be a catch. 25% of your nation's oil and gas reserves shall be owned by the British government. In exchange for this, the British government shall train your troops, give them the needed weapons and supplies, enter into a military alliance with your nation, and construct around 5 military bases in your nation free of charge. It would also be preferable, but not mandatory that Iraq joins The British Commonwealth (Commonwealth of Nations).", said Henry before continuing.

He then took a swig of brandy and continued, "Regarding your more grander proposal of a Pan-Arabian state intrigues me. Britain would support this effort as long as it reflects the will of the peoples of The Mideast, and does not include British protectorates such as Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc. We would also prefer that an Arabian Union of sorts be achieved diplomatically and through the will of the people, but if the will of the people is not heeded we would be fine with a military intervention", said Henry.

"I'm inclined to agree," Yu replied, "but what really worries me is the potential that other powers, namely the Soviet Union, may be dragged into this as well. They're both allies, of course, being communist, but relations between them have been a little shaky in the past few years." The President of the Republic of China frowned, before sighing. More celebrations rock Spain today as news of Valencia being returned to Spain reaches the public. Now with the excitement of Valencia and the growing hatred for Britain mixing, accidents have been reported. Riots have formed in the streets of Madrid and are declaring for the Spanish Government to forcibly take back the territories stolen from them. There as even been reports of skirmishes with the British Border Guard against civilians trying to leave British occupied Spain, which leaves over 100 civilians injured and several in critical condition.

Seeing how things can get out of hand quickly Rico has written three letters to Britain's allies.

A grand example of this is South Africa and, most specifically, the different organizations there, such as ANC that are active and fight for the rights of the indigenous people."

Nagy nodded. "Thank you for your assistance, Comrade Khruschev. The people of Hungary will remember this kindness, and we will be indebted to you. I will send our troops to the next Warsaw Pact exercises, and hopefully they can learn from the mighty Soviet Army and our other fraternal socialist allies."
