Oppressive? I wasn't even born during the Cold War, but my parents were.
They lived in Red Yugoslavia (obviously SFR Yugoslavia), and it wasn't oppressive at all to them. Apart from that Tito did order his Secret Police to kill a Catholic Priest (I'm not sure if he was a Priest).

And I wasn't talking about Democracy, I'm talking about NATO. I do live in a Democracy, but if it was two options, I'd rather take red than be aligned to NATO.

Oppressive? I wasn't even born during the Cold War, but my parents were.
They lived in Red Yugoslavia (obviously SFR Yugoslavia), and it wasn't oppressive at all to them. Apart from that Tito did order his Secret Police to kill a Catholic Priest (I'm not sure if he was a Priest).

And I wasn't talking about Democracy, I'm talking about NATO. I do live in a Democracy, but if it was two options, I'd rather take red than be aligned to NATO.

Well I suppose we have different opinions then.
