I suppose the former, but the British navy is the best in the world, and the Brazilians are quite spread out.
Would make for some Atlantic naval warfare, with a strong Brazil, but I think Britain could certainly handle it.

I was just gonna ask for permission to trade in India at all. If you want specifics, I'm thinking I can export stuff like grain and cattle in exchange for Indian goods like cotton and spices. Of course, those are probably uneven terms, so I'd be willing to pay for the Indian goods in gold/cash.
