Set in an alternate universe of the epic fantasy novel series of A Song of Ice and Fire by GRR Martin, the interactive roleplaying game of Game of Thrones: Conquest is based on the HBO TV show of Game of Thrones and loosely based on the books of A Song of Ice and Fire. It all began when the execution of Eddard Stark shattered the plans of House Lannister to make peace with the enraged House Stark and House Tully. However, with Jaime Lannister a hostage of Robb Stark and cut from the Westerlands, Tywin Lannister decides to retreat to Harrenhal and ordered Ser Gregor Clegane, the Mountain, to keep sacking the Riverlands from Gods Eye to the Red Fork. He also sent Tyrion Lannister to the King’s Landing to rule as Hand of the King in his stead and rein in Joffrey and his mother, Cersei. Meanwhile, when the news of Eddard Stark’s death reached the Northern and River lords, they chose not to support either of Robert's brothers, declaring independence from the Iron Throne. Two years after Eddard Stark’s execution, in 301 AL, the Kingdom of the North was reestablished under the rule of Robb as King in the North.

King Robb Stark, or the Young Wolf, continued to win victories in the Westerlands, taking captives at Yellow Fork, forcing the surrender of the Crag and closing on Casterly Rock itself. King Stannis Baratheon sailed on King's Landing. With both the nations capital and his own seat under threat, Tywin convened a war council. He argued that Robb was a greater threat and decided to march immediately. He left Ser Gregor as castellan at Harrenhal and Arya to be his cupbearer. Unbeknownst to him, however, Arya manages to escape Harrenhal. Tywin arrived in King's Landing towards the end of Battle of the Blackwater with a large force of Lannister-Tyrell soldiers, thus winning the battle. A wounded Tyrion saw them arrive, just before passing out and Cersei was sitting on the Iron Throne with Tommen, when Tywin came in to announce their victory.

Following the Battle of Blackwater, Tywin wasted no time in asserting his authority over King's Landing; planning a quick end to the War of Five Kings. House Bolton and House Frey conspired with House Lannister to massacre the ruling members of the Kingdom of the North during a wedding of Edmure Tully at the Twins. When the Northerners marched south, Robb was made aware of Bolton and Frey's planned treachery due to reports from loyal spies for House Stark, and as a result, the invasion of Westerland was cancelled with Robb and his bannermen pulling back to their country. The Riverlands fell to Bolton’s hand, forcing Catelyn Tully and her House to seek refuge in the Kingdom of the North. However, King Robb Stark planned to march south again, hoping to liberate House Tully’s land and invade the Westerlands. Theon went to Pyke with Robb's suggestion that Balon name himself King of the Iron Islands and join the war against House Lannister. Theon found Asha as heir and was met with scorn from his family, who considered him softened by the green lands. Balon spurned the offer and declared himself King of the Iron Islands and the North. Balon Greyjoy, with Theon and Asha, planned to invade the mainland with their vast fleet.

Westeros braced for a winter, which may become a new Long Night, as the White Walkers and their army of the dead are poised to strike against the Wall and the realms of men. The War of the Five Kings, once thought to be drawing to a close, was instead entering a new and more chaotic phase. Westeros was on the brink of collapse, and many were seizing what they can while the realm imploded, like a corpse making a feast for crows. In the Bolton-controlled Riverlands, Roose Bolton and his newly legitimized bastard, Ramsay Bolton, united with the Frey and other lesser Houses. They are planning a direct attack against the North with the aid of House Lannister. The self-proclaimed King Stannis Baratheon, a R’hllor fanatic, retreated to the Stormlands after his defeat in the Battle of the Blackwater. With the aid of the Red Priestess, Melisandre, Stannis was convinced that he would gain victory in future battles. He planned to destroy his enemies by invading the Reach, and the Crownlands. A year later, before such invasion could begin, Jaime Lannister was finally returned to King's Landing but Joffrey Baratheon was poisoned in his own wedding, and Sansa Stark was sent to the Vale.

In King's Landing, Tommen Baratheon was now King of the Seven Kingdoms and Queen Cersei Lannister gave the Faith an army without King Tommen and Tywin Lannister's consents. However, the Queen Mother quickly lost control over the Faith Militant as the High Sparrow moved for a religious revolution in the capital. The High Sparrow arrested Ser Loras Tyrell and Queen Margaery Tyrell, and the Lannisters realized that the Faith was quickly gaining the support of the people. Tywin decided to retreat to Casterly Rock, alongside with the Royal family. Although King Tommen wanted to remain behind, he was forced to comply.

In truth, Tywin was fleeing from a larger and more powerful force, which was the Targaryen host, bound for King's Landing with thousand upon thousand of forces from the east, with Viserys Targaryen and Daenerys Targaryen at their head, and three powerful fire-breathing dragons. Olenna Tyrell chose to welcome the long lost royal family, giving Viserys Targaryen the Crownlands and the capital. The Targaryen Imperium officially replaced the Seven Kingdoms, though King Viserys was only able to take control of the Crownlands, the Reach and Dorne. Myrcella Baratheon and Trystane Martell, with Oberyn Martell, ventured to King's Landing while Jamie Lannister went to Casterly Rock after delivering Myrcella to the capital and were granted safe passage by King Viserys. The direst situation in Westeros, however, was in the North and at the Wall. The massive assault against Castle Black by the wildling army of Mance Rayder was defeated at the last moment by the surprise arrival of King Robb Stark and his massive forces. His brother, making him Commander of Robb’s army and heir to the throne of the North and Winterfell, legitimized Jon Snow.

Lord Willas Tyrell of the Reach quickly secures his realm before Stannis or Tywin can march against his House. Meanwhile, the High Sparrow is still holding Margaery Tyrell and Loras Tyrell captive in King’s Landing. Lady Ollena Tyrell are left with only two choices; flee to the Reach and attack King’s Landing with her army, or ask for help from King Viserys Targaryen and in return, Ollena will agree in merging House Tyrell and House Targaryen together. In the Vale, Lord Petyr Baelish marries Lysa Arryn, with Sansa being held captive. Petyr decides to remain neutral but this man who is also known as Littlefinger is widely known for his well-planned schemes. Far south, in Dorne, Prince Doran Martell declares neutrality as well, however his brother, Prince Oberyn Martell, secretly plans to take advantage of the chaos to avenge the death of sister and destroy House Lannister.

Lord Willas Tyrell of the Reach quickly secured the Reach before Stannis or Tywin could march against House Tyrell and its vassals. Distracted by the political intrigues in King's Landing, the exhausted lords of Westeros must now brace for the rise of the kraken — the ironborn led by House Greyjoy. Early in the War of the Five Kings, Balon Greyjoy declared the Iron Islands' independence and raided the North while the Stark's army was fighting in the south. Having remained relatively uninvolved ever since, the ironborn's massive fleet remains at full strength, a fact lost on the major powers of the mainland, who have been nearly exhausted fighting each other.

You must choose your side in this time of treacheries, turmoil, conflicts and political confusions; the game of thrones is about to end as the fire sweeps from the south and the ice from the north. What would you do when all hope is lost? Will you stand and fight for the ones you love? Or flee for your life? Conquer Westeros!

The Krogan wrote:Probably one of the most detailed roleplays I've ever been in.
Kings Island wrote:This roleplay is incredibly detailed and strategic. It's scope is also very wide with a number of conflicting parties and even organizations, such as the Faith Militant and the Iron Bank, which can make or break kings.
Mesrane wrote:Well I've been hooked to Game of Thrones since I finished the first book close to a year ago. Ever since then I've been on the lookout for solid RPs set in Westeros. Of course, some are more solid than others and a few don't even get off the ground for a variety of reasons. But this, with it's interesting alternate story line, insanely detailed OP, a plethora of storylines, and wide selection of factions, along with high quality writing from the player base, is probably the best roleplay I have ever signed on for. Best GoT RP without a doubt.

This roleplay is based on the TV show by HBO and loosely based on the books. The age of the main characters (Sansa Stark, Tommen, etc.) are based on the show, while the books are used to provide more information regarding the minor and lesser Houses.

  • Jon Arryn is poisoned. Eddard Stark is appointed to replace him as Hand of the King. At King's Landing, Eddard Stark discovers the secret Jon Arryn learned: none of Queen Cersei Lannister's three children are Robert's, but are all bastard products of incest with her own twin brother, Ser Jaime Lannister. King Robert Baratheon is killed in a boar hunt, secretly assassinated at the order of Queen Cersei Lannister by slipping him overly strong wine during the hunt, so he would not live to learn of Cersei's betrayal from Eddard Stark. Cersei's eldest son Joffrey Baratheon is crowned king as Robert's alleged heir. Eddard Stark attempts a counter-coup in support of Robert's lawful heir Stannis Baratheon, but he is betrayed to the Lannisters by Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish and Janos Slynt. Lannister plans to manipulate Lord Stark into declaring support for Joffrey in exchange for being allowed to leave with his life by joining the Night's Watch go horribly awry when, on the steps of the Great Sept of Baelor, the crazed King Joffrey instead orders Eddard Stark to be immediately beheaded.

  • The Seven Kingdoms become engulfed in the massive civil war known as the War of the Five Kings. Robb Stark is declared King in the North by his bannermen, reestablishing the Kingdom of the North, seeking vengeance for his father's murder. He is joined by the lords of Riverlands, sworn to his mother's family, House Tully, and attempts to secede from the Iron Throne. Both of the younger Baratheon brothers, Stannis and Renly declare themselves king, challenging Joffrey's legitimacy. Stannis initially only controls the islands of Blackwater Bay ruled from Dragonstone, as well as much of the Royal Fleet. Renly enters into a marriage-alliance with House Tyrell, and is supported by the combined might of the Stormlands and the Reach. House Arryn of the Vale and House Martell of Dorne declare their neutrality.

  • Daenerys Targaryen marries Khal Drogo in Pentos, securing the Targaryen exiles their first real chance of gaining an army to reconquer the Seven Kingdoms. Viserys Targaryen is nearly executed by Khal Drogo in Vaes Dothrak, but Daenerys shows him mercy. After the incident in Vaes Dothrak, Viserys changes his personality, becoming a far more better; a wise and understanding Tagaryen. Drogo succumbs to an infected wound along with betrayal by Mirri Maz Duur. At the edge of the Dothraki Sea and Lhazar, at Drogo's funeral pyre, Daenerys burn herself alongside her dragon eggs and her dead husband. Most of the Dothraki leave to set for another Khal, yet some of them remain loyal to Viserys and Daenerys. Viseryrs cries all night long for her sister, before realizing that Daenerys uses "fire and blood" to successfully hatch three live dragons.

  • The Conclave of the Order of Maesters, based on reports and observations, officially declares that the ten year long summer has finally ended, and autumn has begun. There are fears that a long summer will be followed by an equally long winter, but instead of stockpiling food, the Seven Kingdoms are gripped by civil war, devastating the countryside.

  • The War of the Five Kings drags on. King Robb Stark invades the Westerlands to further bleed the Lannisters. The Baratheon brothers parley in the Stormlands but refuse to combine their strength. Heavily outnumbered, Stannis has his ally the Red Priestess Melisandre summon a magical shadow-creature to assassinate Renly in his tent the night before their armies would have clashed. The lords of the Stormlands rally to Stannis as the sole remaining Baratheon heir, but the Tyrells and their vassals withdraw back to the Reach. Balon Greyjoy decides to opportunistically use the war as a chance to secede the Iron Islands from the Iron Throne, but instead of allying against the Lannisters, House Greyjoy goes for the low-hanging fruit by attacking the North while Robb's army is in the south (in the hope that the Lannisters will reward them by confirming their independence). Winterfell is sacked and later burned. Stannis uses his newfound army from the Stormlands to mount a massive direct assault on King's Landing in the Battle of Blackwater Bay; ultimately due to Tyrion's wildfire trap and the arrival of reinforcements under Lord Tywin Lannister, Stannis' fleet is crushed and his army all but destroyed, yet he barely manages to escape back to Dragonstone with his life. Baelish brokers an alliance between House Tyrell and House Lannister, sealed by the betrothal of Margaery Tyrell to King Joffrey. Further marriage alliances are made of Myrcella Baratheon with Trystane Martell, and Baelish with Lysa Arryn, which also bring Dorne and the Vale back into the Lannister fold (though they do not send troops to march in battle). Robb Stark breaks his promised marriage-alliance with House Frey by marrying Talisa Maegyr.

  • Viserys Targaryen and Daenerys Targaryen crosses the Red Waste and arrives in Qarth. They later flees the Warlocks of Qarth, and takes a ship bound west.

  • Lord Commander Mormont's Great Ranging north of the Wall reaches the Fist of the First Men. Jon Snow joins Qhorin Halfhand in scouting out the main wildling camp of King-Beyond-the-Wall Mance Rayder in the Frostfang Mountains. Jon encounters the wildling spearwife Ygritte, but he and Qhorin are later captured. Qhorin convinces Jon to kill him to convince the wildlings that he intends to defect, so Jon can infiltrate Mance Rayder's army from within.

  • King Robb Stark withdraws from the Westerlands and returns to the Riverlands, his strategic objectives having failed. Robb's grandfather Lord Hoster Tully dies after a long illness, and Robb returns with much of his army to Riverrun. Having secured the south through their victory at the Battle of the Blackwater and through various marriage alliances, for a time the Lannisters focus on consolidating their now very strong position in the war. This leads to a lull in major operations in the war, as Robb's strategic plans have failed and Tywin is content to patiently strengthen his position. The Lannisters switch to a new strategy of offering no battle to Robb's army, as they can afford to wait him out, and it would be a pointless waste to give Robb another opportunity for a disproportionate tactical victory like at Whispering Wood and Oxcross.

  • Lord Rickard Karstark kills two unarmed Lannister squires held at Riverrun, Tywin's own nephews Martyn and Willem Lannister, as petty vengeance for the loss of his own sons in the war. In response Robb Stark release Lord Karstark in order to keep the Karstark army with him, by the advice of his counselors. King Robb decides that his only remaining option is to make an all-or-nothing assault against Casterly Rock in the west, as the bulk of Lannister-Tyrell forces are deployed in the east to defend King's Landing. However, even with the Karstark, this will require winning back the support of House Frey after breaking his promise to enter into a marriage-alliance with one of Walder Frey's daughters. As a replacement, the Freys insist that Robb's uncle Edmure Tully marry Lord Walder's daughter Roslin Frey.

  • Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark, and almost the entire Northern army is nearly massacred at the Twins at the wedding feast of Edmure and Roslin if it weren't for a Bolton scout that is loyal to the Stark. Robb and his army are betrayed by his own bannermen, House Frey and House Bolton. Before the two Houses can cause damage to Robb Stark's armies, the King in the North chooses to retreat north to their country. House Tully, and some of its vassals that are still loyal, assaults the Twins but is forced to retreat to the Kingdom of the North.

  • Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen arrives at Astapor in Slaver's Bay in search of an army with which to reclaim the Seven Kingdoms. Viserys let her sister to do the duty, telling her it is a test to prove if she is worthy of being a Targaryen. Daenerys tricks the slavers and with the aid of her growing dragons, seizes control of an army of 8,000 Unsullied warrior-eunuchs. Viserys is pleased by his sister's clever actions as Daenerys frees the elite slave-soldiers but they all agree to fight for the Targaryen brother and sister. After sacking Astapor, the new Targaryen army advances on Yunkai.

  • The Night's Watch faces the White Walkers in combat for the first time in 8,000 years at the disastrous Battle of the Fist of the First Men, where their main base camp is ambushed by White Walkers leading their hordes of undead wights. Out of three hundred men, consisting of most of the Watch's high-ranking officers and best fighters, only a few dozen men led by Lord Commander Mormont are able to fight their way out, and retreat back to Craster's Keep. Deteriorating conditions there lead to the Mutiny at Craster's Keep in which Mormont himself is killed by his own men, while loyalists and betrayers turn on each other in the confusion. Samwell Tarly escapes the carnage with Craster's daughter-wife Gilly, and attempts to flee with her back to Castle Black. On the way Sam is confronted by a White Walker, but becomes the first man in thousands of years to kill one of the demonic beings when he stabs it with a dragonglass dagger he found at the Fist of the First Men, in the process discovering their vital weakness to the substance. Jon Snow meets Mance Rayder and gains his trust, and is sent with a scouting party led by Tormund to scale the Wall. They successfully pass over to the south side, and intend to attack Castle Black from its undefended rear to distract its small garrison while Mance's main army assaults the Wall directly.

  • The armies of the Kingdom of the North take back Winterfell from the Greyjoy, however Theon escapes justice and return back to the Iron Islands. Robb Stark dominates his land, taking the Dread Fort from Bolton's hand and burns it to the ground.
Image

  • King Joffrey Baratheon is assassinated with poisoned wine at his own wedding. Tyrion Lannister is arrested on the false accusation of involvement in the plot to poison Joffrey. Sansa Stark finally escapes King's Landing, carried away on a ship by Petyr Baelish.

  • Joffrey is succeeded as king by his younger brother Tommen I Baratheon, a very young boy. Much more mild-mannered and easily controlled than the crazed Joffrey, young Tommen becomes a pliable puppet king for his grandfather Tywin, who as Hand effectively becomes King in all but name. House Bolton begins to consolidate Lannister rule over the Riverlands with House Frey - though much of this major breadbasket region has been reduced to a burned out devastation, roamed by brigands.

  • House Greyjoy and the Iron Islands continue to reject Lannister control, as does Stannis Baratheon on Dragonstone and Stormlands. Balon Greyjoy and his children plan to retake Winterfell and destroy Robb Stark's kingdom with their vast fleet. Despite the Lannisters' apparent victory, substantial spending on the war has only exacerbated the crown's already massive debts, leading to tensions with the Iron Bank of Braavos.

  • Lysa Arryn is killed by Petyr Baelish soon after marrying him, making Littlefinger the new Regent for her young son and ruler of the Vale. He is joined by a young black-haired girl named "Alayne" - secretly, a disguised Sansa Stark. Petyr cuts off Sansa from the outer world, making her to believe that Robb Stark and all of her family are betrayed and dead during a wedding at the Twins.

  • After Sandor Clegane is badly injured in a fight with Brienne of Tarth, Arya Stark leaves him for dead by the highway. Arya is found by a Stark patrol and is returned to Winterfell, reuniting her with her family. Lady Catelyn Stark still worries for the life of Sansa Stark.

  • Oberyn Martell killed Ser Gregor Clegane in a trial by combat, stabbing the Mountain multiple times with a blade coated in deadly manticore venom. Tyrion Lannister chooses to venture to Dorne with Oberyn.

  • Viserys Targaryen's growing army arrives at the last and greatest of the three major cities in Slaver's Bay, Meereen. His forces capture the city and he sets himself up as its new ruling King. After hearing of Joffrey's assassination, Viserys and Daenerys and their advisors briefly consider if the time is right to mount an invasion of the Seven Kingdoms. However, after Viserys' army leaves, the slave-masters retake Yunkai, while a tyrant named Clean overthrows the council she left behind in Astapor to make himself its new emperor. With the population of Slaver's Bay thrown into chaos, and with an invasion of Westeros still a daunting task (given that their dragons are not yet big enough to ride), Daenerys urges his brother, Viserys, to remain in Meereen and consolidate their position. Viserys, on behalf of his sister, exiles Jorah Mormont when they discover that he had previously been spying on the Targaryens for Robert Baratheon.

  • Advanced wildling raiding parties scale over the Wall to pillage the Gift, to distract the Night's Watch as preparation for the attack by Mance Rayder's main wildling army on Castle Black itself. Beyond the Wall, Bran Stark and his remaining companions finally reach the Cave of the three-eyed raven, who actually used to be a man and is the Last Greenseer, attended by the remaining Children of the Forest.

  • The wildling horde numbering in the tens of thousands assaults the Wall in the Battle of Castle Black. After a desperate defense, the tide is turned by the surprise appearance of Robb Stark, along with most of his forces, leading to a decisive victory. Many wildlings are killed or flee, and thousands are captured, including Mance Rayder.

  • Tywin Lannister stacks the Small Council with sycophants who will not stand against him. The debt crisis comes to a head, as the Iron Bank of Braavos starts calling in its massive loans to the crown - of which the Lannisters only physically possess about one twentieth of what they owe.

  • King Tommen marries Margaery Tyrell, and consummates the marriage, securing the Lannisters' badly needed alliance with House Tyrell - their only major remaining source of soldiers, food, and above all money to deal with the debt crisis, now that their own armies and resources are half-exhausted from years of fighting. Queen Margaery and Queen Mother Cersei quickly enter into a bitter rivalry for control over Tommen, while the busy Tywin Lannister focuses on keeping the alliance with the Martell alive, fearing that Dorne will ally themselves with the Kingdom of the North.

  • The Sparrows arrive in King's Landing, a popular disgust religious movement reacting against the corruption of Westeros's wealthy leaders during the war. They started up in the shattered countryside over the course of the devastating conflict, but were afraid to enter the capital city directly when Tywin is still alive. However, even when Tywin is alive and well, they start by directing their anger against the corrupt leadership of the Faith of the Seven, who have grown rich and comfortable while remaining pliant puppets for the Lannisters. Cersei decides to build up a new alliance between the Crown and the Faith as a counterweight to the growing influence of the Tyrells at court. The High Septon is deposed and due to Cersei's influence the leader of the Sparrows, known as "the High Sparrow", is elected the new High Septon. Tywin in enraged by his daughter's action and threatens her that she will be sent back to Casterly Rock if she gives orders without the consent of Tywin.

  • Cersei receives a threatening message from Dorne: her daughter Myrcella's Lannister lion pendant stuffed in a dead viper's mouth. Fearing House Martell, with the help of Tyrion Lannister, wants to take revenge over Princess Elia Martell's tragic death, Jaime volunteers to go to Sunspear and attempt to steal her back to the capital before it is too late. Meanwhile, Ellaria Sand, without the knowledge of Oberyn, begs Prince Doran Martell to raise Dorne's armies in war against the Lannisters, but he refuses, and forbids her to harm Myrcella. Nonetheless, Ellaria joins with three of Oberyn's daughters, the Sand Snakes, in a plot to kill Myrcella, and again without Oberyn's consent, to provoke a war with the Lannisters. Both Jaime and the Sand Snakes are caught as they attempt to reach Myrcella. Doran allows Jaime to leave with Myrcella asking only that he take his son Trystane and his brother Oberyn to retake the seat on the Small Council vacated by Oberyn's leave.

  • At the Wall, the victory in the Battle of Castle Black allows the Night's Watch enough breathing room to hold an election for a new Lord Commander. Alliser Thorne, Jon Snow and Denys Mallister run to become the 998th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Soon before being elected Lord Commander, Robb Stark offers to legitimize Jon and make him a Commander of the Kingdom of the North's combined army, and Jon agrees. Alliser Thorne is elected as a new Lord Commander, as Jon Stark leave for Winterfell. Mance Rayder is offered a land in the Kingdom of the North by Robb Stark, which he agrees, and in return he will provide Robb's kingdom with ten thousand wildlings.

  • After Mance Rayder reveals that most of the surviving wildlings have retreated back to Hardhome on the east coast, Jon ventures there with Mance and Tormund, some Stark soldiers, and a few black brothers by ship (Robb Stark's sellsail fleet, on loan to the Watch). Jon realizes that every wildling that remains beyond the Wall will become one more wight for the White Walker's growing army of the undead. Several of the wildling elders gathered at Hardhome accept Jon's offer to evacuate them, while the rest will take time to come around, but before that can happen the White Walkers launch a massive attack on the village. The resulting Massacre at Hardhome is a disaster, and Jon only manages to evacuate about 5,000 wildlings back to Castle Black, where another 5,000 have gathered.

  • Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish plots a new intrigue by offering Sansa Stark in marriage to Ramsay Bolton, to help secure their hold over the Riverlands during Robb Stark's oncoming attack, which Sansa has no idea about. Littlefinger hopes this will allow her to undermine the Boltons from within. Later, he tricks Cersei by informing her of the marriage as if it was the Boltons' idea and he never knew where Sansa was - thus gaining permission to lead the Vale's fresh armies to invade the Riverlands, and finish off the Boltons, for it is nearly impossible for the Vale to launch a direct assault against the massive host of the Kingdom of the North. This will allow Littlefinger to functionally control both the Vale and the Riverlands, without provoking a reaction from the Lannisters.

  • In Meereen, Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen's already precarious hold over the recently liberated city is beset by a protracted insurgency from the ex-slaver masters, called the Sons of the Harpy. When ex-slaves kill a captured Harpy she had promised a trial, Daenerys tries to uphold the rule of law by executing the ex-slave - but this only loses the Targaryen brother and sister the support of many of the former slaves who once hailed her as a liberator. The insurgency by the Sons of the Harpy escalates and in a large-scale ambush in the alleys of the city, Barristan Selmy is nearly killed defending Grey Worm, who is severely wounded but survives. Both of them are rescued by Viserys, which brings twenty Unsullied to the alley. Daenerys, against the counsel of Viserys, decides that she must marry the head of one of the old slaver families, Hizdahr zo Loraq, to strengthen the Targaryen political ties in the city, and agrees to lift her ban and reopen the fighting pits of Meereen, on which Viserys strongly disagree.

  • Tyrion Lannister flees with Varys across the Narrow Sea to the Free City of Pentos to avoid the possible war Dorne might start. Varys explains to Tyrion that he is secretly a Targaryen loyalist and has been working to restore them to the throne, urging Tyrion to travel east with him to Meereen to become an advisor to Viserys Targaryen and his sister. In Volantis, Tyrion is kidnapped by Jorah Mormont, who hopes to win back Daenerys's favor by presenting her with Tyrion as a gift - ironically, as Tyrion was already heading to Meereen to meet Daenerys. After passing through the Smoking Sea they are left shipwrecked after fighting off Stone Men, and then captured by slavers, but Tyrion talks them into selling the pair at Meereen's newly re-opened fighting pits. During an early local match Jorah and Tyrion manage to get Daenerys's attention. Daenerys agrees to take Tyrion as an advisor, but remains angered at Jorah; Viserys urges his sister to execute Jorah, but Tyrion talks her down from killing him and advises her to simply exile him again.

  • While Daenerys attends the re-opening of the slave fights at the Meereen arena, and Viserys still in the Great Pyramid, a large group of Sons of the Harpy appear and attack her group and the spectators. While trying to escape, Daenerys and her small group become surrounded by the Sons with no chance of escape when Drogon appears and begins to attack, burning the Sons with his fiery breath and biting them with his powerful jaws. Temporarily retreating in terror, Sons regroup and retaliate by throwing spears at Drogon, wounding him slightly, but he is able to fly off with Dany on his back when she whispers a single word to him, "valad". After hearing the news, Viserys is angered of the Sons of Harpy and assembles the remaining of the Unsullied, which is 7,000 strong. Viserys pillages and burns the ex-slave masters' homes, and hang them all in front of the Great Pyramid, this event is later known as "The Flaming War in Meereen".

  • Daenerys return to Meereen with Drogon and 10,000 new dothraki horsemen, shocked when seeing her city burns. She rushes to Viserys in the Great Pyramid and tells him that what he did is not right. Viserys reminds her that the pillages and burning are the things he would do for his beloved sister. When Meereen is in the verge of chaos, with the remnants of the Sons of Harpy gathering to assault the Great Pyramid, Viserys Targaryen, Daenerys Targaryen, the Kingsguards, 7,000 Unsullied, and 10,000 Dotharaki horsemen escape to the island of Dragonstone, with ships Viserys had collected.

  • The Kingdom of the North is still defending their border against the Frey and Bolton, any offensive operations are still in plan. Meanwhile in King's Landing, Margaery becomes angry when her brother is arrested by the Faith Militant. She confronts Tommen, who eventually claims that his mother was not responsible and there was no way to free Loras without bloodshed, but Margaery, who has much more court and political experience than Tommen, is perfectly aware that Cersei played a role in her brother's arrest in order to divide her and Tommen. She subsequently decides to write to Olenna for help. Olenna arrives shortly after and speaks with Margaery, sharing her belief that even though the Faith Militant arrested Loras, Cersei was the true mastermind. Later, at Loras's Holy Inquest, Margaery is called to testify and she backs her brother's denial towards the charges against him. However, Olyvar is called in to give testimony, though it is clear he has been instructed by Cersei. He confirms the accusations against Loras, who is to be put on trial. Margaery, to her horror, is also arrested by the High Sparrow for giving false testimony, and dragged from the room while calling Tommen for help.

  • Cersei grows fearful by each day for the High Sparrow is watching her every time she visits the Sept to meet Margaery. In ultimate fear, Cersei decides to escape with Tommen to Casterly Rock with half of the Lannister army in King's Landing. When Tywin hears of the Targaryen army in Dragonstone, he also decides to return to Casterly Rock with all of his army, leaving the Tyrells behind. Lady Olenna Tyrell is enrage by the Lannister's cowardly actions, but stays in King's Landing nonetheless. Grand Maester Pycell becomes the new Hand of the King. Olenna has two choice to rescue her grandchildren; return to Highgarden to ask for help from Willas Tyrell, or stay in King's Landing and await the rightful King's return.

  • Viserys Targaryen, mounted on Viserion, and Daenerys on Drogon, plan to sack King's Landing with their army but are surprised when they rise white flags and welcome the Targaryen host. Daenerys thanks Olenna and is grateful for House Tyrell's support. Viserys Targaryen is crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms, but changes the name soon after, calling his realm; the Targaryen Imperium. He begins to recruit men for House Targaryen army, but is forced to face a civil war against the Faith Militant. Viserys answers Olenna's plea for help to release her grandchildren, and in return, Viserys will marry Margaery to merge their Houses.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

In order to prevent moneyspam in the replenishing of troops to the maximum amount whenever any are lost, a yearly limit has been put in place for troops. The amount of reserve troops any given player has is modeled in the following equation: (R = M – F – A – L), where R is the amount of reserve troops the player can use to replenish any they have lost, M is the maximum amount of troops the player's house/territory can raise, F is how many troops the player fielded at the beginning of the year, A is the amount of additional troops they field, and L is the amount of troops they lose. Any addition to the L value is subtracted from the F value. Because each year is 12 IC pages long, the player's amount of lost troops ("L") is reset to zero at the end of every 12 pages. This is so that the player don't completely run out of troops. It also encourages the player not to field all their troops at once. The equation for currently fielded troops is (using the same variables from before, with the addition of variable T, which stands for the total amount of currently fielded troops): (T = F + A). Confused? Here's an example:

The Westerlands can field 120,000 troops at their maximum. This makes the value of "M" at 120,000 in the reserve troops equation: (R = 120,000 – F – L). If the Lannisters field 60,000 of those troops, the value of "F" is set: (R = 120,000 – 60,000 – A). However, the Lannisters get into a battle with the Tyrells and lose 10,000 men out of the 60,000 they fielded. The value of "L" is now set at 10,000, and 10,000 is shaved off of the value of "F" because those fielded troops are now dead: (R = 120,000 – 50,000 – 10,000). Now, the amount of troops they can field for the rest of this year is determined: (60,000 = 120,000 – 50,000 – 10,000). If the Lannisters choose to replace all the troops they've lost, we must add 10,000 to the value of "A", as additional troops have now been fielded.

Thusly, the equation changes: (50,000 = 120,000 – 50,000 – 10,000 – 10,000). Now there are 60,000 troops fielded in total once again, but this is not reflected in the value of "F". There is an equation to find the total amount of troops currently fielded: (T = F + A). Because in the last version of the equation for reserves, "F" = 50,000 and "A" = 10,000, we can add the two together to get the value of the total fielded troops: (60,000 = 50,000 + 10,000). Now, at the end of each 12 IC pages, the value of variable "L" is discarded. Considering the scenario above, if the Lannisters do not lose any more troops by the end of the year, "L" is reduced to zero and the maximum number of reserve troops is changed: (60,000 = 120,000 – 50,000 – 10,000 – 0). If there are confusions, you can ask for more information to the Co-OP, Valloria, who made this brilliant rule.

THE SMALL COUNCIL

The small council is a small group of advisers which advises the King of the Seven Kingdoms on matters of policy and their areas of expertise. Aegon I Targaryen relied on councillors after being crowned, but it was not until the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen that the small council was formalized. The council is headed by the king, the only one who can make the council's decisions into law. In his absence the role falls to the Hand of the King or the regent if the king is too young. The council members are appointed and dismissed by the king as he wills, a right freely used during times of war and strife. Although a council seems to always have seven members, it may include additional members as advisors. However, the Kingdom of the North modifies the Small Council, as it is compromised of four important people, including the Queen.

UNDER STANNIS BARATHEON
The current seat of King Stannis' Small Council, or also known as the Red Council, is at Storm's End, the capital for the Kingdom of the Flame. The council composition is:

  • Hand of the King - Davos Seaworth
  • Representative to R'hllor - Melisandre
  • Master of War - Robin Peasebury
  • Master of Ships - Axell Florent
  • Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - Ser Rolland Storm
Every characters are controlled by their respective Houses/Organization while Davos and Melisandre are owned by the player of House Baratheon.
UNDER VISERYS TARGARYEN
After the establishment of the Targaryen Imperium, King Viserys III Targaryen often had his sister, Princess Daenerys Targaryen, attend the council meetings. The current seat of King Viserys' Small Council is at the Red Keep in King's Landing, the capital for the Targaryen Imperium. The council composition is:

  • Hand of the King - Oberyn Martell
  • Master of War - Daario Naharis
  • Master of Coin - Tyrion Lannister
  • Master of Ships - Mace Tyrell
  • Master of Whisperers - Varys
  • Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - Barristan Selmy
  • Commander of the Unsullied - Grey Worm
Every characters are controlled by their respective Houses/Organization while Barristan Selmy, Grey Worm and Tyrion are owned by the player of House Targaryen.
UNDER TOMMEN BARATHEON
After the Battle of the Blackwater, Tywin Lannister re-assumes his duties as the Hand, over his grandson, King Tommen I Baratheon, and reorganizes the council with Lannister loyalists, reinstates Pycelle and dismisses his daughter Cersei from the council. The current seat of King Tommen's Small Council is at Casterly Rock, the temporary capital for the Seven Kingdoms. The council composition is:

  • Hand of the King - Tywin Lannister
  • Grand Maester - Pycelle
  • Master of Coin - Petyr Baelish
  • Master of Laws - Kevan Lannister
  • Master of Ships - Daven Lannister
  • Master of Whisperers - Qyburn
  • Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - Jaime Lannister
  • Advisor - Maester Creylen
Since Tywin, Kevan and Jaime are playable characters for House Lannister, the rest will also be controlled by the player of House Lannister.
UNDER ROBB STARK
As the Kingdom of the North established, Robb Stark formed his own Small Council. The current seat of King Robb Stark's Small Council is at Winterfell, the capital for the Kingdom of the North. The council composition is:

  • Queen in the North - Talisa Stark
  • Shield of the North - Greatjon Umber
  • Commander of the Combined Army - Jon Stark
  • Commander of the Wolf Legion - Galbart Glover
  • Commander of Robb's Personal Guard - Brienne of Tarth
Every characters are controlled by their respective Houses/Organization. The Wolf Legion is a special branch for the Northern army, compromised of House Glover's soldiers.

KINGDOM OF THE NORTH

The Kingdom of the North was one of the independent kingdoms of Westeros until the War of Conquest. Bran the Builder, the first King in the North, founded it during the time of the First Men. At its time of greatest expansion, the Kingdom of the North included all the lands north of the Neck and south of the Gift. The Kingdom of the North, however, rises again as one of the consequences of the execution of Lord Eddard Stark. Eddard's heir, his own vassals, as well as the Riverlords sworn to House Tully declare Robb Stark King in the North. This kingdom is located in the North, home of House Stark; the North is a cold and hard place, even in summer. It breeds cold and hard people, descendents of the First Men and heir to those who built the great ice Wall that protects the realm.

The largest of the Seven Kingdoms' regions, the North covers the entire area south of the Wall and north of the Neck. House Stark has ruled the North for thousands of years from the castle known as Winterfell. Thus, the new Kingdom of the North includes all lands historically ruled by House Stark, and the lands surrounding the Trident, ruled by House Tully since the time of Aegon. During the breakout of the War of the Five Kings, the Kingdom of the North held full control over the lands of the North and the Riverlands. Raventree Hall was occupied by the Seven Kingdoms, but later liberated from the Seven Kingdoms control. Stone Hedge was occupied by the Seven Kingdoms, but later liberated from the Seven Kingdoms control. Stone Mill was occupied by the Seven Kingdoms, but later liberated from the Seven Kingdoms control. Harrenhal was occupied by the Seven Kingdoms, but later liberated from the Seven Kingdoms control. The capital of Winterfell and the castles of Moat Cailin and Deepwood Motte were occupied by the Kingdom of the Iron Islands. Robb Stark later liberates three of them from the Kingdom of the Iron Islands. After the Bolton treachery is unfolded, the Riverlands fall to their control, forcing House Tully and some of its loyal vassals to retreat to Winterfell.

Due to the North's vast size, gathering the full military strength of the Starks and their vassals is a difficult process, requiring months of travel time and the ability to supply and feed the host even before it sets out. The average Stark soldier wears a brown or dark blue coat with green or grey sleeves protected by chainmail underneath, grey or brown leather boots, a grey steel or iron helmet and a grey shield emblazoned with the Stark Direwolf, presumably steel or iron. Warriors in the Northern heavy cavalry or heavy infantry wear a chainmail and leather suit of armor with some steel or ironwork, as compared with the expensive plate armor of the well-equipped Lannister troops.

After the War of the Five Kings, King Robb Stark rules his Kingdom of the North from Winterfell with Queen Talisa Stark and Queen Mother Catelyn Stark, and the newly legitimized Jon Stark as the Commander of the combined army of the Kingdom of the North. With the help of various loyal bannermen and Mance Rayder's ten thousand wildlings, King Robb Stark is certain that the time will come when the heads of the Lannister are on spikes in front of their beloved Casterly Rock. If united, along with all the minor and lesser Houses, the strength of the Kingdom of the North is 41,130 strong. The sworn allies of this kingdom are the Free Folk, which has 10,000 wildlings and 2 giants. The Kingdom of the North and its allies combined strength would be 51,132 strong.

N A V Y

The North has had no strength at sea since Brandon the Burner put Brandon the Shipwright's remaining ships to the torch hundreds of years ago. However, with the support of House Tully, King Robb Stark manages to assemble only 20 vessels for the Kingdom of the North’s navy. It is clear that the North is not able to defend itself in the sea against the Kingdom of the Iron Islands.

Territory: The North
Allegiance: House Stark
Wealth: none
Number of Troops: 10,000 warriors, 2 giants
Number of Ships: none

The Free Folk is the name used to refer to themselves by the people who live in the lands beyond the Wall, still on the continent of Westeros but beyond the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms. The name they employ makes reference to their society, which recognizes no inherent or hereditary political authority, except for leaders whom they choose to follow. The people of the Seven Kingdoms refer to the Free Folk derogatorily as wildlings.

Normally the wildlings are divided into many different rival clans, but occasionally they unite behind a single over-chieftain known as a King-Beyond-the-Wall, as they are now under Mance Rayder. After Jon Snow is legitimized, the Free Folk joins King Robb Stark’s army in return for a land and an alliance in the North.

BOLTON-CONTROLLED RIVERLANDS

The Riverlands are the strong, beating heart of Westeros: consisting of the rich, fertile, and populous areas around the three forks of the Trident and the northern Blackwater Rush. Once tied by marriage to the North and the Vale, the Riverlands are as central politically as they are geographically. No war was ever fought in Westeros that did not cross the Riverlands, and none in which its armies did not fight. Long ruled by the honorable House Tully, the Riverlands fall to the hands of House Bolton and Frey after the War of Five Kings. The Brotherhood Without Banners, indirectly helping the Kingdom of the North, resists Bolton and Frey's rule over Riverlands.

Because of its central position in Westeros and lack of natural boundaries, the Riverlands has been a frequent battleground. The Riverlands is not considered one of the traditional Seven Kingdoms, as at the time of Aegon's Conquest the territory was controlled by the ironborn. The people of the Riverlands are known as "rivermen", or occasionally "riverlanders", and they are a mixture of hardy warriors, peaceful fisherfolk and devout smallfolk. Their lords have a reputation for being notoriously quarrelsome. Bastards born in the Riverlands are given the surname Rivers.

Image
A R M Y

After the War of the Five Kings, most Houses in Riverrun swear fealty to House Bolton, since House Tully retreats to the North without warning and notice. Without the support of House Lannister, Roose Bolton and his bannermen are able to muster 19,520 soldiers. Similar to the Northern soldiers, House Bolton and their soldiers wear leather suits and chainmail. The overwhelming number of the Kingdom of the North's army forced Roose Bolton to ally himself with House Lannister and denies that they have Sansa Stark in their grasp.

Image
N A V Y

House Bolton and their old and new vassals have 44 vessels in total. They possess 7 galleys, 20 cogs, 12 longships and 5 carracks. However, a half of the ships in their combined navy is used for trading and transport purpose instead of warfare. Roose Bolton values his ships highly, for it serves him well for the trading with the Lannister, transporting fishes and supplies to Lannisport.

House Bolton of the Riverrun, formerly Dreadfort, is the ruling house of the Riverlands, having usurped their position from House Tully. They are an old line descended from the First Men and dating back to the Age of Heroes. Lord Roose Bolton takes Riverrun when House Tully retreats to the Kingdom of the North.

House Bolton is infamous for its centuries-old practice of flaying their enemies alive, to the point that they use a flayed man as their House sigil. The Boltons supposedly gave up this practice after bending the knee to House Stark, and centuries later Lord Eddard Stark outlawed flaying in the North altogether, but the Boltons continue the practice. Roose Bolton spends months with Walder Frey to plan an attack against the North, their allegiance is still to House Lannister, but that may change.

House Frey is currently a Great House controlling the Riverlands with House Bolton due to House Tully being stripped of all their titles for their rebellion against the Iron Throne. Their castle is known as the Twins, for its two identical keeps on either side of a river linked by a bridge, sometimes called the Stone Bridge. The Twins is one of the primary crossings over the Green Fork of the Trident River, and tolls from bridge crossings have made the Freys quite wealthy fairly quickly, elevating them from obscurity six centuries ago to being one of the most powerful noble Houses in the Riverlands - though they are looked down upon by older aristocratic families.

The Heraldry of House Frey represents their castle-seat of the Twins: it consists of two grey towers linked by a bridge, on a darker grey background, over an escutcheon of blue water. House Frey’s allegiance is to House Bolton and indirectly to House Lannister

TARGARYEN IMPERIUM

The Targaryen Imperium, compromised of the Crownlands, is ruled directly by the King on the Iron Throne from the city of King's Landing, the largest city in Westeros and the capital of the Seven Kingdoms. Culturally and historically, the Crownlands were primarily an extension of the Riverlands, but with cultural influences from neighboring regions, which periodically captured territory in the region, such as the Stormlands, the Reach, and even the Iron Islands. One of the main reasons Viserys Targaryen began his invasion in the Crownlands is because it was where the borders between these three powerful rival regions met. None of them wanted to deal with the Targaryen threat directly, and each wasted so much time arguing that Viserys and Daenerys were really the problem of the other two respective regions that the Targaryens were able to land all of their forces and establish a firm beachhead unopposed. The Crownlands is politically subdivided into two areas: the mainland part administered directly by the King on the Iron Throne and his Small Council from the city of King's Landing, and the offshore islands under the authority of the Prince of Dragonstone, traditionally the heir to the throne. It is first known as the Seven Kingdoms, but when Viserys landed at King's Landing without resistance, and is crowned King of the Seven Kingdoms, he changes the name into Targaryen Imperium, in order to remind all those who oppose him that the Targayens are the one who in control.

Image
A R M Y

House Targaryen's military strength has fluctuated over the last few years under Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen's leadership. Since the death of Daenerys' husband, Viserys has commanded a khalasar containing only a few dozen riders, less than half of who are warriors, as well as a single trained knight, Jorah Mormont. During their time in the Red Waste and Qarth, their dragons were not large enough to provide any meaningful assistance. By the time Viserys and Daenerys reached Astapor in Slaver's Bay, their dragons had grown enough to provide limited air support in certain engagements, and she had gained the loyalty of an additional knight, Ser Barristan Selmy. It should be pointed out that although limited, the dragons are capable of providing the only air support in the known world.

Following the Sack of Astapor, Viserys and Daenerys gained an army of 8,000 fully trained Unsullied, elite warrior-eunuchs who fight in large, disciplined phalanx formations, as well as several hundred Unsullied-in-training who serve as auxiliaries. Shortly after arriving at Yunkai, Daenerys is able to secure the affection of Daario Naharis, a lieutenant in the Second Sons. During a parley between the Targaryen siblings and the captains of the Second Sons, Daario points out that Daenerys's Unsullied are impressive infantry, but she still possesses no cavalry, siege weapons, or ships. Later that night, Daario slays the captains of the Second Sons, makes himself captain, and pledges the company to Daenerys. The Second Sons add 2,000 armored cavalry to the growing Targaryen army.

Viserys, at least, believed that because House Tyrell of the Reach and House Martell of Dorne fought on the Targaryen side during Robert's Rebellion, the prospects were good that they'd be willing to join his cause and rebel against the Usurper. Thus far, there has been no evidence that dissatisfied houses would support a Targaryen return, and House Tyrell has become closely aligned with the Lannister-backed House Baratheon. After the civil war in Meereen, Viserys and Daenerys looses 1,000 Unsullied but gains 10,000 Dothraki horsemen. With ships Viserys had gained, the Targaryen host ventures back to their home and conquer the Crownlands without resistance. By the time Viserys declares the existence of the Targaryen Imperium, he assembles an army for House Targaryen, clad in all black heavy-plate armor. The Targaryen Imperium combined strength will be 22,260 soldiers.

Image
N A V Y

Viserys Targaryen, during his time in Essos, manages to claim 400 vessels from Qarth, which includes 10 War Galleys, 50 Galleys, 150 Cogs, 150 Carracks, and 40 Whalers. Those vessels are enough to carry the entire Targaryen army. When they reach the abandoned Dragonstone, their navy is joined by House Velaryon, which adds another 15 vessels, compromised of 5 Galleys, 5 Cogs, and 5 Carracks, to the Targaryen navy. In King’s Landing, Viserys’ navy is joined with the Royal Fleet, adding another 50 ships. The total number of vessels that the Targaryen Imperium has is 465 ships, which makes it one of the dominant powers in the sea after the Kingdom of the Iron Islands.

House Targaryen is a Great House of Westeros and was the ruling royal House of the Seven Kingdoms for three centuries, before it was deposed during Robert's Rebellion and House Baratheon replaced it as the new royal House. The few surviving Targaryens fled into exile. Viserys and Daenerys continue to try to control Meereen but faces major opposition from a clandestine organization calling themselves the Sons of the Harpy, who have recently begun assassinating lone Unsullied. Yunkai's return to the Targaryen fold is organized by Hizdahr zo Loraq, with a council of former slaveholders and freedmen ruling the city and all major decisions being submitted to Daenerys for approval. But Daenerys, reluctant to allow the Wise Masters to reopen the fighting pits, jeopardizes the deal. Meanwhile, in Pentos, Varys works to convert a new asset to the Targaryen cause: the fugitive Tyrion Lannister. At the Wall, Aemon Targaryen, maester of Castle Black and the only other remaining Targaryen succumbs to his poor health and dies.

The exiled House Targaryen returns to Westeros with their large number of soldiers, taking the Crownlands without resistance. They are forced to face a civil war in King's Landing when the Faith Militant foolishly rebels against the nobles. House Targaryen's sigil is a three-headed red dragon on a black background, and their words are "Fire and Blood".

Available members: Daario Naharis
Territory: The Crownlands
Allegiance: House Targaryen
Wealth: 1000 Gold Dragons
Number of Troops: 2,000 cavalries
Number of Ships: none

The Second Sons is a sellsword company operating in Essos, with members recruited from various Free Cities and fighting as heavy cavalry. Typical sellswords, they are a rowdy, rough-and-tumble private army who fight for coin and the highest bidder. Like many sellsword companies, however, they recognize that once they accept a contract from one side of a conflict they cannot break it and switch to the other side, even for promise of higher pay, since they would be seen as unreliable and no one would ever hire them again. The name of the company comes from the tradition of firstborn children in noble or wealthy families receiving inheritance, property and titles from their parents, while second sons receive nothing. Second sons (and younger) therefore often seek their fortunes in the wider world by joining sellsword companies. The banners of the Second Sons display a broken sword. The Second Sons is a loyal sub-branch of the Targaryen Imperium's military.

THE REACH

The Reach is one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms, and was formerly a sovereign nation known as the Kingdom of the Reach before the Targaryen conquest. Geographically, it is one of the larger regions of the Seven Kingdoms. The Reach is the most fertile part of Westeros, blessed with vast, blooming fields of crops and flowers, and numerous and well-populated villages and towns; it traditionally helps supply other less fertile parts of the Seven Kingdoms (most notably King's Landing) with grain, fruit, wine and livestock. The Reach is also the most heavily populated part of Westeros and is one of the richest, though not as rich as the Westerlands, ruled by House Lannister. Due to this, the Tyrells can traditionally field the largest army in the Seven Kingdoms, almost as large as the armies from two of the other populous kingdoms combined. This vast supply of manpower, land, and food production gives the Reach enormous strategic value during the War of the Five Kings.

House Tyrell rules the Reach from the castle of Highgarden. After the War of the Five Kings and the rise of the Faith Militant, Margaery and Loras are arrested. And when the Lannister flee from the Faith and from the Targaryen, Olenna decides to stay. Willas Tyrell currently rules the Reach, since Mace is in King's Landing, serving as the Master of Ships. Bastards born in the Reach are given the surname Flowers. People of the Reach are collectively known as Reachmen.

Image
A R M Y
The Reach is the most fertile and populous region of Westeros, allowing House Tyrell to gain immense wealth, through taxation of the large population. The Tyrells can typically raise and equip almost twice as many soldiers as any of the other Great Houses in Westeros. Due to the renewed Targaryen-Tyrell alliance, House Tyrell resumes shipment of its foodstuffs along the Roseroad to feed the common people of King's Landing, who are suffering greatly from the deprivations of the war, and the disruption in trade that began when Highgarden declared for Renly Baratheon. Olenna says that 100 wagons are now arriving in the city daily from the Reach, containing wheat, barley, and apples. If combined, the Reach has an enormous army of 60,000 soldiers, with 2,000 men of House Tyrell in King's Landing.

Image
N A V Y

The Reach's navy consists of approximately 338 ships, compromised of 36 Galleys, 3 Dromonds, 150 Cogs, 65 Carracks, 24 Hulks, 40 Whalers and 20 Swanships, of those that are in possession of House Tyrell and its vassals. Most of them are used for transport, trade and coast guard, however the Reach has the largest navy after the Targaryen Imperium and Kingdom of the Iron Islands.

House Tyrell of Highgarden is one of the Great Houses of Westeros. It rules over the Reach, a vast, fertile, and heavily-populated region of southwestern Westeros, from their castle-seat, Highgarden. Lord Mace Tyrell currently leads it, although his mother, the indomitable Olenna Tyrell, still wields considerable influence over the House's affairs and is usually considered the true leader of the family. Mace's son Loras is a noted tournament knight (and, secretly, the lover of Lord Renly Baratheon). Mace's daughter Margaery married Renly when he crowned himself king, to cement the alliance between Renly and her father. Following Renly's death, Margaery was then married to King Joffrey Baratheon before his assassination at his wedding feast. She has since been re-betrothed to Joffrey's younger brother and successor, Tommen.

When the Faith gains an army, which Cersei allows, Margaery and Loras are arrested. As the Lannister escape cowardly from the Targaryen host to Casterly Rock, Olenna Tyrell decides to welcome Viserys and ally her House with the dragons. Viserys request Olenna to marry Margaery Tyrell, on which Olenna agrees. The Targaryen King promise that he will release Margaery and Loras, with violence if necessary. With Mance Tyrell acting as the Master of Ships, and Olenna staying in King's Landing. Willas Tyrell is in charge of the Reach. The Tyrell sigil is a golden rose on a pale green field. KINGDOM OF THE FLAME

The stormlands are one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms on the continent of Westeros. The Kingdom of the Storm was a sovereign nation until the War of Conquest, in which the last Storm King was slain. The stormlands are ruled from the castle of Storm's End by House Baratheon. They are so-named for the savage and frequent storms that batter the coast. Noble bastards raised in the stormlands are given the surname Storm. After the War of the Five Kings, Stannis retreats to the Stormlands and establish the Kingdom of the Flame, with Melisandre as his advisor. Vassal Houses that refused to change their religion are burned alive by Stannis. The Kingdom of the Flame is currently under siege by Aegon VI Targaryen and his Golden Company, invading Estermont and Cape Wrath, quickly taking Griffin's Roost, Greenstone, Rain House, and Crow's Nest.

Image
A R M Y
After the assassination of his brother Renly, most of the lords of the Stormlands bent the knee to Stannis, giving him an army in the tenths of thousands. Stannis led them in a massive assault on King's Landing, but his forces were nearly completely destroyed in the resulting Battle of the Blackwater. In no small part this was due to the arrival of the large army of House Tyrell, who had been convinced to ally with the Lannisters against Stannis because he would never forgive them for initially supporting Renly.

Stannis barely managed to retreat back to Dragonstone island with his life, and his few remaining men. The defeat effectively knocked Stannis out of the war for over a year, as with no major armies or fleet he was now functionally trapped on Dragonstone. The only thing that prevented a major Lannister assault finishing him off was that the Lannisters still lacked sufficient sea power. Stannis later said that he had about 4,000 fighting men left.

Following Joffrey's assassination at his own wedding, however, the massive wartime spending of the Lannisters (combined with already high debt levels under Robert) began to become a serious problem. At Ser Davos's suggestion, Stannis treated with the Iron Bank of Braavos to urge that they should switch their support from the Lannisters to him. The Iron Bank pointed out that Stannis hardly seemed in a position to win the war, but after some prodding, had to admit that after Lord Tywin escaped to Casterly Rock from the Targaryen host they did not have strong confidence in the leadership of House Lannister. This convinced them to extend Stannis a provisional loan, to at least keep his remaining forces fed and re-hire the sellsail fleet under Salladhor Saan so he could maneuver them around again. The Iron Bank remains on the fence, but realized they wanted to keep their options open in case the Lannisters and King Tommen proved incapable of addressing the debts they owed the bank.

Stannis used this small infusion of new resources to transport most of his remaining forces to Stormlands. However, he gain support in the Stormlands from various vassal Houses. Stannis and his remaining 17,100 men are currently at Storm's End, hoping to rally Baratheon loyalist against Stannis' enemies.

Image
N A V Y

At the outset of the War of the Five Kings, Stannis had the smallest army of any faction, with only his immediate vassals from islands in Blackwater Bay offering support. Stannis did, however, have the largest strength at sea, with most of the Royal Fleet siding with him, because he had commanded them for years as Master of Ships under Robert. So few ships remained loyal to the Lannisters that they could not hope to challenge Stannis's control of Blackwater Bay. Ser Davos further bolstered Stannis's strength at sea by hiring the sellsail fleet of the pirate Salladhor Saan, numbering thirty ships. His forces were nearly completely destroyed in the resulting Battle of the Blackwater.

Stannis later said that he had about 32 ships left. With the support of the Iron Bank, Stannis has 60 vessels in total, which is considered one of the smallest navy during the time.

THE WESTERLANDS

The Westerlands is one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms. It was formerly a sovereign realm known as the Kingdom of the Rock before the Targaryen conquest. The Westerlands are ruled from the castle of Casterly Rock by House Lannister. It is one of the smaller regions of the Seven Kingdoms, but is immensely rich in natural resources, particularly metals. Predominantly mountainous, the hills of the Westerlands are riddled with veins of gold and silver, the mining of which has made the Lannisters and their bannermen immensely rich. While the Lannister armies are not as huge as those of the Reach, they are the best-equipped in the realm, with heavily-armored soldiers and cavalry.

Bastards born in the Westerlands are given the surname Hill. People of the Westerlands are collectively known as Westernmen, and are referred to, derogatorily, as "lions", in reference to the sigil of House Lannister. Colloquially, Westermen are also referred to as Lannisters. This region is currently providing safe haven for King Tommen I Baratheon, also known as "The King Who Flee". While Jaime returns to King's Landing, Myrcella Baratheon chooses to stay with Trystane, willingly serve under House Targaryen.

In the Westerlands, House Lannister and its vassal can raise approximately 50,000 men in a relatively short period of time. As the richest house, the Lannisters' forces are among the best-equipped in the Seven Kingdoms, with expensive heavy armors, though House Tyrell commands larger numbers.

House Lannister of Casterly Rock is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, one of its richest and most powerful families and oldest dynasties. The major characters Jaime, Cersei, and Tyrion and the recurring characters Tywin, Kevan, and Lancel are members of the house. Tywin is the head of House Lannister and Lord of Casterly Rock. Their lands are in the far west of the continent. Their seat is Casterly Rock, a massive rocky promontory overlooking the Sunset Sea which has had habitations and fortifications built into it over the millennia. They are the Lords Paramount of the Westerlands and Wardens of the West. House Lannister's Heraldry consists of a golden lion on a crimson background, and their House words are "Hear me roar!", which is rarely mentioned. Their unofficial motto, which is as well known as the official one, is "A Lannister always pays his debts" - which is used much more often and mostly in negative context, though it can also be used in the original, literal sense.

The incestuous relationship of Cersei and Jaime has been concealed in a conspiracy. Their son Joffrey Baratheon has claimed the Iron Throne on the premise that he was actually fathered by the late King Robert Baratheon. Lord Tywin is a key supporter of his reign in the War of the Five Kings. The Lannister retreat from King's Landing to Casterly Rock shamed Tywin greatly, but rather than burned in the flame of dragons and the rising Faith Militant, the Lord of Casterly Rock decided to let the Faith and the Targaryen battle each other.

THE VALE

The Vale of Arryn is one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms, and was formerly a sovereign nation known as the Kingdom of Mountain and Vale before the Targaryen Conquest. It is ruled by House Arryn from the Eyrie. Protected and surrounded by the Mountains of the Moon, the Vale is isolated from the rest of Westeros and is accessible only during warmer seasons. Bastards born in the Vale are given the surname Stone.

The Vale is where the Andals first landed and spread out from during their invasion of Westeros six thousand years ago, though as settlement patterns became established, the Reach became the main population center and cultural heartland of the Andals. Still, combined with its isolated mountainous terrain, noble families from the Vale are said to have among the purest Andal bloodlines within Westeros. A few noble families from other regions can match them for this, but no other region taken as a whole. There are many small tribes who inhabit the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon. These tribes are commonly known as hill tribes, and they reject the rule of House Arryn. Although they are dangerous to passing travelers, their lack of organization and less advanced weapons means they pose no real threat to the rest of the Seven Kingdoms. The Vale of Arryn remains neutral in the War of the Five Kings, with Lady Lysa continuing to withhold her armies from leaving the Vale to aid House Stark and House Tully.

After the War of the Five Kings and the Targaryen landing, the Vale rejected all request for help from King Robb Stark, Lord Twyin Lannister, and King Viserys Targaryen. The Targaryen Imperium threatened the Vale that if they don't bend their knee, they will be branded an enemy of the crown.

Image
A R M Y
Unlike the Westerlands, which have gently rolling mountains, the mountains of the Vale are much less hospitable and more difficult to traverse. Further, while the mountains of the Westerlands are filled with precious metals such as gold, the mountains of the Vale are not particularly rich in resources. The valleys scattered between the harsh mountains, however, are as fertile as any in the Riverlands. Therefore, the Vale of Arryn has a considerable number of soldiers, as they can raise 35,000 soldiers after the War of the Five Kings.

DORNE

Dorne is one of the nine constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms. It is the southernmost part of the continent of Westeros, located thousands of miles from Winterfell and the North, and has a harsh desert climate. The Dornishmen are ethnically distinct from the rest of the Seven Kingdoms, being largely descended from Rhoynar refugees who intermarried with the local population of Andals and First Men roughly a thousand years ago. As a result they have very different customs and traditions compared to the other regions of Westeros. Dorne was a sovereign kingdom before the invasion of Aegon the Conqueror, and weathered his attack to remain one afterwards, the only one of the Seven Kingdoms to retain its independence. It joined the Seven Kingdoms through peaceful marriage alliance nearly two centuries later, only one century before Robert's Rebellion. As a result of joining through marriage and not conquest, Dorne was allowed to keep many of its local customs and laws, such as equal inheritance laws for male and female heirs. Due to these different ethnic, legal, and political factors, the Dornishmen are very independently minded, with a stronger sense of "national identity" than many of the other Seven Kingdoms.

Dorne is ruled from the castle of Sunspear by House Martell. After the Lannister fled to Casterly Rock, leaving the Tyrell behind in King's Landing and Viserys Targaryen conquers the Crownlands, Oberyn and Trystane, alongside with Myrcella return the capital. While Jaime Lannister decided to go to Casterly Rock, demanded by Queen Mother Cersei, Myrcella decided to stay in King's Landing and is willing to welcome the Targaryen host as long as it means that she will be close to Trystane. Currently, Dorne is in an alliance with the Targaryen Imperium. Bastards born in Dorne are given the surname Sand. Things from Dorne are known as "Dornish," while the people of Dorne are properly known as the "Dornishmen," though its people are sometimes simply referred to as "the Dornish."

Dorne could raise fifty thousand Dornishmen, according to Daeron I Targaryen's Conquest of Dorne, during his reign (157 AC-161 AC). However, Daeron exaggerated the quantity of his opponents to enhance his victory. The Martells have not corrected the claim in order to make Dorne appear stronger. Prince Lewyn Martell led ten thousand Dornishmen in the Battle of the Trident. More recently, Prince Oberyn Martell has told King Viserys Targaryen that Dorne could provide him with an army of fifty thousand.

Dorne has 120 vessels in total, while most of them are used for non-warfare purpose, Dorne is still one of the dominant powers in the sea.

KINGDOM OF THE IRON ISLANDS

The Iron Islands is one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms. Until the War of Conquest it was ruled by the Kings of the Iron Islands and then the Kings of the Isles and the Rivers. The Iron Islands are home to a fierce seafaring people who call themselves the ironborn and are ruled by House Greyjoy from the castle of Pyke. While some say the archipelago is named after the abundant iron ore on the islands, the ironmen claim it is instead named after their own unyielding nature. It is often said that every captain is a king aboard his own ship, so the islands are also called "the land of ten thousand kings". When warfare erupts in Westeros after the death of King Robert Baratheon, Lord Balon Greyjoy takes advantage of the instability and declares independence for the Iron Islands. Rather than ally with King Robb Stark against House Lannister, Balon sends the ironborn to occupy key positions in the North and declares himself King of the Isles and the North.

Image
A R M Y
The Iron Islands can raise approximately twenty thousand men, with the help of House Greyjoy and its vassals such as House Blacktyde of Blacktyde and House Botley. Though their number is large, the Kingdom of the Iron Islands rely on their vast fleet more than their infantries.

Image
N A V Y

The Kingdom of the Iron Islands posses five hundred longships. The Iron Fleet alone consists of two hundred Ironborn longships ships, which are three times larger than the standard longship, however, and the major lords of the Ironborn can each float around a hundred ships. A longship such as Sea Bitch has fifty oars, while Great Kraken and Iron Victory are larger. The only fleets comparable to those of the Iron Islands are the royal fleet in the Crownlands and the Redwyne fleet at the Arbor.

GOLDEN KINGDOM

The Golden Kingdom is a militarized sovereign state controlled by Aegon of House Targaryen of Cape Wrath, who styles himself as King Aegon VI Targaryen. The existence of the Golden Kingdom began when the entire Golden Company's 10,000 men soon depart Volantis, under the leadership of Aegion. Not quite half of them make it to Westeros, landing at Cape Wrath and Greenstone. Jon Connington leads 1/4 of the forces in seizing Griffin's Roost. Simultaneously Tristan Rivers besieges Crows Nest, and Laswell Peake besieges Rain House. Aegon remains in their camp, guarded by the remaining 1/4 of the Company under Gorys Edoryen. Haldon, a healer and tutor of Aegon, collects information about the military and diplomatic situation across Westeros. He already considers marital alliances for King Aegon and his Hand of the King, Jon Connington. The latter is against both such plans. Connington receives news that part of the missing four ships landed in Estermont. Marq Mandrake has led the men there in capturing Greenstone. The rest of the ships are still missing. Franklyn Flowers suggests that the missing men are scattered across the Stepstones. Connington decides to bring Aegon to Griffin's Roost for increased safety. Franklyn points out, however, that Aegon would like to be in the thick of things. Connington has a plan to capture Storm's End, last foothold of Stannis in the Stormlands.

Four days later, Aegon arrives at Griffin's Roost. He rides at the head of a column including a hundred horses with their riders, and three elephants. He is accompanied by Lemore and Rolly Duckfield, the first person in his version of the Kingsguard. Connington remembers arguing with Aegon over the appointment of Rolly. Connington had pointed out that positions in the Kingsguard should be reserved for warriors of great renown and/or sons of great lords. Aegon pointed out that Jaime Lannister fit that description perfectly, and was currently known as the Kingslayer. He would rather have men personally loyal to himself, ready to die for his safety. Connington asks to have the Prince escorted to his solar, but soon realizes that Prince Aegon is less pliant than Young Griff. Aegon leaves him waiting for "the better half of a hour", bringing Duck with him instead of coming alone. Connington tries to dismiss the bodyguard, but Aegon insists on having Rolly by his side. Aegon mentions discussing the plan to take Storm's End with Strickland and Flowers. Strickland even tried to persuade him to delay the plan. Aegon, however, feels Strickland is a bit of "an old maid" and is in favour of the plan, with one significant change: he intends to personally lead the attack. The Golden Kingdom is forced to cancel some of their plans when they learned that Viserys Targaryen has conquer the Crownlands with three dragons and a massive army of more than twenty thousand men.

The army of the Golden Kingdom is compromised of the Golden Company, a company of sellswords founded by the Great Bastard, Aegor Rivers. They are considered the largest, most famous, and most expensive sellsword or mercenary company in the Free Cities. However, they swear their allegiance to Aegon Targaryen and marched to Westeros with him. The Golden Company consists of 10,000 men, and when Aegon landed in Stormlands, he is joined with 200 peasants who welcome him.

NIGHT'S WATCH

The Night's Watch is a military order that holds and guards the Wall, the immense ice structure which separates the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms from the lands beyond. Lord Commander Alliser Thorne leads the order from the stronghold of Castle Black. The Night's Watch consists of three groups: the Rangers, who fight, defend the Wall and patrol the Haunted Forest; the Builders, who maintain the Wall and the castles; and the Stewards, who support and feed the members of the Watch.

Image
A R M Y
Late in the reign of King Robert Baratheon, the Night's Watch had dwindled to under one thousand members - many of them composed of old men, untrained boys, and convicted felons. While there are nineteen castles along the Wall, the Watch only has enough men to continue to man three of them: their headquarters Castle Black in the middle, the Shadow Tower at the western end, and their port Eastwatch-by-the-Sea at the eastern end. The Watch took severe losses in Jeor Mormont's disastrous expedition beyond the Wall, losing nearly 300 men as a result. Combined with heavy losses during the Battle of Castle Black, as well as losses from other wildling attacks, by the time that King Robb Stark arrives at the Wall to legitimize and take Jon with him, which is later discovered that Robb unknowingly save Jon from his planned death by Alliser Thorne, the entire organization consists of only around 600 members left.

Available members: High Sparrow, Brother Lancel

Alliances: none
Wealth: 2000 Gold Dragons
Number of Troops: 2000 warrior, 3000 workers
Number of Ships: none

The Faith Militant are the military orders of the Faith of the Seven, the dominant religion in the Seven Kingdoms, serving the will of the High Septon and enforcing the word of the Seven-Pointed Star by force of arms. They were disbanded centuries ago during the reign of King Maegor Targaryen, known as Maegor the Cruel. Members of the Faith Militant typically garb themselves in rough-spun robes of dyed black wool, which they fasten around their waists with chains. They arm themselves with clubs and cudgels. To show their absolute devotion, they carve their foreheads with the Seven-Pointed Star, the symbol of the Faith of the Seven.

The Faith Militant is reestablished during the rule of King Tommen I Baratheon by the order of the Queen Mother, Cersei Lannister, who seeks the support of the High Sparrow and the Faith of the Seven in her power struggle against House Tyrell. Their purpose is ostensibly to protect the faithful and the clergy from attacks and abuses, but they swiftly start imposing their puritanical views upon King's Landing. Formed from the ranks of the most devoted among the Sparrows, the Faith Militant carries out attacks on vendors selling idols of other religions, dealers of beer and wine, taverns, and brothels, including those of Lord Petyr Baelish. They also carry out attacks against known homosexuals, harassing a noble found abed with a male prostitute (it is unclear if they killed or castrated him) and arresting Ser Loras Tyrell, Queen Margaery Tyrell's brother. They also restrict access to the Great Sept of Baelor, preventing even King Tommen from entering. When House Lannister, including King Tommen, flee to Casterly Rock, the Faith Militant gain support from the people and started rebelling against the Targaryen Imperium.

Trapped behind enemy lines, they became a guerrilla-fighting group, and were joined by deserters from different armies in the war as well as commoners trying to defend their homes. The Brotherhood continues to fight to protect the commoners of the Riverlands in the name of King Robert and Lord Eddard. Following the reestablishment of the Kingdom of the North, the Brotherhood Without Banners indirectly help King Robb Stark by resisting Bolton’s rule in the Riverlands.

I haven't been able to read through everything due to time constraints, but how do faction mechanics work?

As in income, troop training, building, etc

or are those part if this faction RP?

Actually, I'm going to post the Market section, where a House can buy troops, siege machines, and even wildfires (with some exceptions of course). There is actually going to be a rule for gaining more Dragon Golds and losing them, for example: In the Roleplay, if a faction wins a battle, every House and organizations that takes part in it will gain 1000 golds and the losing Houses will lose 2000 golds. The rules have been made actually, and the Market section is in process, I will post and officially use it if you have no problem in facing a complex RP. Also, there must be a roleplayer who play the Iron Bank to oversee and manage all the trading in the Market section. Though, if we are going to use this market system, everyone need to report their current number of Golds in every post.

Hope this helps!

I'm interested, but I wouldn't consider myself an experienced roleplayer.

Hello there! As long as you can keep up with the storyline, and at least have a basic knowledge regarding ASOIAF lore, you are welcomed to join! Keep in mind though that we forbid one-liners. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Hope this helps!

In the rules it says "Only experienced roleplayers can join this roleplay.", so I was just wondering. I've read all the books and can check the wiki if need be, so I should be good there.

There's a contradiction for House Redwyne, it states that they have 200 warships while "Number of Ships:" indicates much less.

I probably should change that. Yet, I decided to add that since I receive a lot of one-liners and bad rolepayers in the past.

Forgive me, it takes concentration and a lot of time in creating these datas for the Factions, especially for the research and coding. However, I think I made a mistake there. It is the Reach that has 200 ships, compromised of those that are in possession of House Tyrell and its vassals. If you are wondering what is my source for this, it is a page in the ASOIAF wikia with the title Armies. Hope this helps!
