Well that will depend on how things turn out.
IRL, the reason the Depression happened was because Europe was devastated after the Great War and the United States economy collapsed thus causing the economies depending on it to recover to collapse.

Reason: Military is way too high - its about 3.5 million, which is about 14.5% of your population (which is insane, btw). The German Army had 700,000 men at the start of OTL's Great War, and later mobilized some 3.8 million men, and they have a significantly larger population than Denmark-Norway and are one of the Great Powers. Also, "because conscription" is not a valid excuse for your military being so huge. The Union of Courland wrote:-snip-

Official Language(s): English, Irish Gaelic
Form of Government: Republic
Head of State: Éamon de Valera
Head of Government: (if different)
Capital City: Dublin
Population: 10,220,000
Ethnicities: Irish, English, Scottish, German
Religion: Mostly Catholic with a protestant minority in the North
Army:
Active: 350,000
Reserve: N/A
The IFS army is quite small seeing that they only recently acquired independence from the British. As a result, they are largely unorganized and untrained with either outdated or stolen arms from the British Occupation. The size of the military is certainly subject to change within the RP.
Navy: N/A but subject to change during RP. Ships are made, but not warships.
Air Force: N/A but subject to change during RP.
Economic Strength: Relatively weak but improving fast due to the increase in industry since independence. Main industries include agriculture and its products. There are other sectors such as improvements in healthcare, brewing companies such as Guinness, and maritime sectors, the most prominent being ship building.
Infrastructure: The nation's infrastructure is quickly improving due to it's fast growing population and social reforms to a more conservative society. Most of these improvements include urbanization, road construction, and urbanization.
Scientific Research and Development: The scientific development of the country has been relatively slow in the previous decades but has seen a massive increase recently and is continuing to rise. Most of these developments include ship building and healthcare although breakthroughs are being made in the agrarian sector.
Primary Goals:Unify Eire under a single nation
History: There is really no deviation other than the country, for the sake of the RP, is forced to come to existence in 1900 rather than 1917. The country still acquired independence by the same means.
Develop a stronger military presence in the world
Continue Scientific advancement
Improve the world of healthcare
Achieve the world's highest standard of living
RP Example:Uachtarán Preston Benton (Uachtarán is Vichtrician for President) steps to the podium in front of the Paul-Benton House (The Vichtrician version of the White House) to deliver a speech on the rights if Jong to be an Independent nation, as well as its individual similarities between their people in the capital city of Francias Bay. He calls for the independence of Jong.
"The Vichtrician character has been not only religious, idealistic, and patriotic, but because of these it has been essentially individual. The right of the individual against the State has ever been one of our most cherished political principles. The Vichtrician Constitution has set down for all men to see the essentially Methodist and Vichtrician principle that there are certain rights held by every man which no government and no majority, however powerful, can deny. Conceived in Grecian thought, strengthened by Christian morality, and stamped indelibly into Vichtrician political philosophy, the right of the individual against the State is the keystone of our Constitution. Each man is free. He is free in thought. He is free in expression. He is free in worship.
To us, who have been reared in the Vichtrician tradition, these rights have become part of our very being. They have become so much a part of our being that most of us are prone to feel that they are rights universally recognized and universally exercised. But the sad fact is that this is not true. They were dearly won for us only a few short centuries ago and they were dearly preserved for us in the days just past. And there are large sections of the world today where these rights are denied as a matter of philosophy and as a matter of government. We cannot assume that the struggle is ended. It is never-ending. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. It was the price yesterday. It is the price today, and it will ever be the price.
The characteristics of the Vichtrician people have ever been a deep sense of religion, a deep sense of idealism, a deep sense of patriotism, and a deep sense of individualism. Let us not blink the fact that the days which lie ahead of us are bitter ones.
May God grant that, at some distant date, on this day, and on this platform, the Uachtarán may be able to say that these are still the great qualities of the Vichtrician character and that they have prevailed in The Jong Regime as well as the rest of the world. On this day, I say, let The Holy Red Democracy of
The Jong Regime be free."
Followed by the enthusiastic and confident cheering of Benton's fellow countrymen, he is escorted off the podium by Servicemen and brought to the limousine waiting for him where he will arrive at a Presidential Jet waiting for him and his trip to Jong.
