Welcome captain. You have been appointed to the Starfleet First Exploration Fleet. You've been selected due to your exemplary service in Starfleet. Your mission will be to explore uncharted sectors in the galaxy. Remember, when encountering new civilizations, to uphold the Prime Directive. You will go where no man has gone before, and explore the depths of space. Report to Earth where the First Fleet will assemble. Warp speed limitations may be exceeded for this assignment. Welcome to Star Trek: Exploration. This will be an RP based off of Star Trek. This will be about a fleet exploring uncharted sectors in space. You will encounter anomalies, help set up colonies. You may encounter Romulans, and hopefully avoid an incident. You will be a capitan, and take control of a starship in the First Exploration Fleet.

Now, there are some things you should know before we begin.

Alex was born into a Starfleet family. His mother was chief engineer on the USS Melbourne, destroyed by the Borg in 2367, and his father was a First Officer on the USS Yamaguchi who was also killed in the battle of Wolf 359. He was only 19 at the time, just graduating from the Academy. Once he graduated at the top of his class, he received an assignment on the USS Charleston.

He was on board when the ship joined the task force that blockaded the Romulan-Klingon border during the Klingon civil war. Once the war was over, Alex was selected to become a First officer on a Nebula-class ship. He excelled in his position, and he soon was offered a captain position on the Honey Badger.

After Starfleet command reviewed his record, they decided he was the best man for the job of commanding the First Exploration Fleet. He was promoted to an Admiral and was told to assemble a fleet in orbit of earth. He sent out a message to all captains in Starfleet who suited the rolls of the mission, and requested that some of them report to the First Fleet.

In a tragic accident, the First Officer was killed, causing for him to have an emergency promotion. The Captain taught him how to lead, and how to captain the ship. After doing well and succeeding on the mission, he received a personal citation, and was then given more classes at the Starfleet Academy, to become a captain. The Valetta, a tiny, all human, long-term research vessel, is his first assignment as a captain, after various assignments as a First Officer.

However, fate would not let them follow the same path. With the outbreak of the Federation-Cardassian War, both brothers were determined to join Starfleet to help bring an end to the conflict. An unfortunate tragedy struck the family, however. After Robert had already been stationed on the U.S.S. Maelstrom as it's First Officer, Charles Venor was tasked to bring up peace terms with the Cardassians, and with him on this journey was Miles Venor, now an Ensign on the U.S.S. Jericho. A Cardassian attack group surprised the starship as it was in transit and destroyed it, leading to Charles and Miles Venor's deaths. With the death of his father and brother at the hands of the Cardassians, Robert realized that his father would have wished for him not to hold grudges and stand against peace as a concept. While he held that in mind, he suppressed those thoughts until after the war, as he earned himself multiple battlefield commendations. He would remain the First Officer of the Maelstrom for years, until his eventual promotion to Captain granted him the U.S.S. Pendragon, an Excelsior-Class cruiser that he would captain for the next few years up to and during the Dominion War, which it fought its way through valiantly until the end. At the end of the war, Robert found himself being transferred to the newest ship class of the fleet, the Sovereign-Class, being awarded the U.S.S. Endeavor for his well known record throughout the war and his brilliant tactics in combat. From there, Robert began to select his officers carefully, pulling from former crew members that he worked with on other ships to old friends from the Academy, building himself the perfect combination of supporting crew, and hoping to see how well they do in the field with him, looking outward towards the stars again to explore as Starfleet has always strived to do.

Where should I start with the invincible? I doubt it would just be exploring, the Prometheus class was a dedicated warship, an uncommon feature for federations ships, which as far as I know are made for versatility most of the time, if the Miranda class is any hint (they had it doing everything)
