Introduction
January 1963, the Cold War continues to grow even hotter. The CIA and KGB are locked in a vicious shadow war, never fighting each other directly, but always engaging with pawns. The CIA is closely allied with several rebel groups abroad, while the KGB hits close to home aiding both the Cartels and Mafia families in America. Both sides use the same tactics, the only thing separating them being the banner under which they operate. The Spy game used to be black and white, but continues to bleed and turn grey. Langley has caught wind of the KGB's operations throughout the country and has begun assembling a taskforce made up of the best Agents the CIA has to offer.
About
You will be a member of this CIA Taskforce, whose mission will be to disrupt KGB operations in America. Some ops may bring you across the world, but most will stay centered in the US. Eventually a conspiracy will be uncovered, completely changing the dynamic of this RP later on. Be warned, this will not be a stable environment, things will change, characters may die, traitors will be uncovered. Bullets won't solve every issue, and every op will not go smoothly. You will need to adapt. I will control your handler at the HQ in Langley, so I won't be in the field. Each Op will have assets you can use to aid you, but sometimes you wont be able to use them. We will try to keep as close to history as possible, but there may be a few changes. Also, you won't know who did what or what is happening until your character does, this is to keep the RP fresh and interesting, with many twists and turns. Only my Co-Ops will, and they will have orders not to tell you unless it is crucial you know. In this event you will be TGed. As OP I will be the one to throw in twists and turns, not you. You can throw in minor things, but nothing that can completely change the RP. That means you cannot be a traitor, unless I've explicitly told you you can. And that will be done over TG.
Rules
- - Don't be a dick. I understand this subject matter can be a bit touchy for some folks, but keep things civil.
- This is fictional. None of the events occurring or implied by the RP have actually happened.
- One liners are unacceptable and considered poor etiquette.
- OP decisions are law. Same goes for Co-OP decisions.
- No godmodding, metagaming, or flaming.
- This is less about action and adventure and more about investigation and intrigue.
- No, you can't say "I know who did it!" and break the whole conspiracy open in your first post.
- No, you can't have a minigun or anything ridiculous, unless there's a very good explanation.
- If you die, you die. Accept that and either leave or create a new character.
- Have fun! That's what this is about, anyway.
