Then help me think of something that would work! Anything outside of childhood friend where I could have an actual relationship with the guy?

While being part of the group that killed his brother? You'd have a relationship. Mortal nemesis is what it'd be.

I suppose, given her attitude, she could randomly jump in while he's in some huge fight and help him while thinking its a really fun game and then follow him around until he cracks.

Or, if she is part of said group and can evade him, she could know the exact people responsible for it, and tell him that. It would, at the very least, calm him down.

Leonard, who notices perhaps on a TV in a public place as the incident is being reported, shows up to help.
