Because there's such a thing as a "main character" who has to be stronger than everyone else in an RP. It's not like his fight against the Grimm which just happened would have required a graduated Huntsman or both main teams from canon or a teacher to pull off.

Look, I get it, we want strong characters. But a sense of place needs to be there. Yes, Reina is a teacher, and is stronger than the students, but no, I would never try to have her fight Glynda or Ozpin, or Oobleck, or Port (well, maybe Port if he tries talking her to death). Likewise, I don't expect first year students to be doing things it took whole teams of canon characters to do.

He isn't the main character of the RP, he's just the one given the spotlight by me.

But he isn't a proper main character.

If we were to take character on a 1 to -1 scale type, Heamet would range on the -1 or 0 as in, he has a power that is considered one a support character should have, but moreover he doesn't have any intent of striving towards any goal, he's just an empty shell with a lot of power, a bit like a robot if you will, making him into a -1.
But he's not made to be able to win, even if he technically does, it'll be a loss to him in some way until he finds something to revive his resolve.
For now, he's just a character given a lot of spotlight, he explained that in my last post.

If I wanted to actually have a main character that is a plus, I'd take Theriam for instance, due to his sense of justice and the fact that he wants to protect Charlotte, making him a 1.

Look, whatever happens with Heamet as long as he doesn't have any sort of resolve or anything to pull him towards the need to win, is that he's going to lose anyway, so why even bother with the fact that he's just that accustomed with his semblance already?

He fought tons of Narrator oriented grimms, for all we know they could've been blind.
As he said, he wanted to show off.

But if he gets in an actual fight with ANYONE he's going to lose because he just cannot even picture himself winning anymore.
There's no point in losing nor winning to him, so he just loses continuously.
Even if Reina's semblance is something he won't be able to parry in any way, he's going to give her a rough time for an estimate of about a half second then say he gives up because he just doesn't care anymore.

The whole point of him and Aria getting together in the arc I'm setting up for him is that he becomes an actual character with no actual skill like just about every main character ever.
