It's season one. If you're going to put up death flags, I expect you to die.

Death in storytelling is very important. It's partially a punishment for misdeeds. It's useful for when there is a character with no plot armor left. Death for emotional appeal alone is tacky. Death with a purpose is art.

So, when contemplating character death, think "Is there purpose to this?"

I would most definitely do one at the end of volume 1 as well. So everyone can go into volume two, knowing what went down.
