Capabilities: Um, well, stabbing things, you know, sword stuff, but that's only when it's separated into the dual blades. (Katanas, of course.) Otherwise, when they're joined, it becomes a very awesome staff-thing, with blades on each end and the handle in the middle, that can be used to do a lot of cool things like, for example, when it's spun it both looks awesome and makes a good weapon. Charlotte has all the style points.

Semblance: Haha, well this is where things get... dark. Poor Charlotte has... *sniff* a very sad story, and this... well, it's... not pretty. I call it 'this hurts me a lot more than it hurts you'. Basically, she summons memories and 'broadcasts' a wave of emotion to a specific target. If the memories are happy memories, the target will receive a sort of 'pick-me-up', and be more motivated to fight, et cetera. If they're bad memories... pain. And the worse the memories are, the more pain is felt. The unfortunate thing for poor Charlotte is that while this is happening, she's reliving the memories.
She doesn't have a lot of happy memories.

Biography:

She was born on February 11th, to Kaitlyn Lee Noble and Alex Cameron Noble--but her first day in the world became one of tragedy when her unborn twin sister Hania perished, taking Kaitlyn with her. She lived with her father for three years--the happiest years of her life, and the only star in her darkened sky. She had only happy memories of that brief time--her father was always kind, always cheerful, always had something new to show her. She trusted him completely, and believed that he would always be there for her.
But the universe is cold and cruel, and what is the belief of a child but dust on the wind?
She was three years old when it happened. The news reported that a fire had taken many lives--but they didn't report what was truly important--at least to her. Her father was dead, and he was never coming back.
Her innocent heart broke that day.

She could not survive alone, of course, and so she was taken from everything she had ever known and placed into a home where she did not belong. But humans have long imitated the universe, and she was cast out only two years later--and so the cycle of betrayal and loneliness continued for three years, until finally she found herself being cared for, loved, two kind people watching over her. She thought at last she had found a home. That she would stay here, and never leave.
But the nature of the universe had not changed, and tragedy struck again when she fell severely ill, and the couple simply couldn't afford to pay for her medicine--so with tears in their eyes, they bid her farewell, and again she was passed on--but this time, four years later, she was completely unprepared for what was going to happen to her.

Emma and Michael Kincaid.

Two people who should never have been allowed to take care of her--but through a horrific error in the system--they were. And Charlotte entered living hell.

Emma was an alcoholic. Years of living with her husband had driven her to drink, and the house was littered with bottles. It was a rare occurrence indeed that she was not in a drunken stupor--giving her husband free reign.

Michael quickly became the focus of Charlotte's nightmares. A simple question drove him into a rage, and Charlotte suffered many injuries from belt, glass, knives, anything and everything he could get his hands on. Her days were agony, her nights sleepless. Her grades fell sharply, and it was inevitable that someone would finally ask. And five years later, they did.

One day, a counselor at school asked her to come and talk to him. She was a brilliant girl, he said. He knew that, because until recently, she had gotten nothing but A+ in every subject. But now... Now she was at risk of failing. Relieved, she finally spilled her story, telling him every gruesome detail, every horrifying episode of pain, feeling certain that he would do something, trusting that he would get her out of the hell her life had become.

But the universe is pitiless, and it was not to be.

He did the one thing Charlotte did not expect.
He picked up the phone, and he called Michael Kincaid.

The man arrived there, already showing signs of fury, asking what she had done.

The counselor turned to Charlotte, and said the sentence that would change her life.
"Tell him what you just told me."

She turned pale. She couldn't say it. Not to his face. Didn't he know what would happen to her?

Apparently not, because he told Michael exactly what she had been saying.

Would he deny it?

Of course he would.

He played it off as a stunt, a grab for attention, and the counselor believed everything.

Charlotte was taken back to the house, and that night, she was beaten, cut, put through agony in every way the cruel man could think of, her cries for mercy unheeded, her pleading causing only mocking laughter, and then cast out into the cold night.

She lay there, bleeding from wounds all over her body, sobbing, pure terror and sorrow and pain filling her mind with no hope of relief. Finally, she forced herself to crawl for help. After what seemed like an eternity, she finally reached a house, where the owners took pity on her--for in her wretched state only those with a heart of stone could turn her away--and let her stay the night. The next morning, she ran, putting as much distance between herself and her past as possible...

Did she have any idea what she was getting herself into?

No. But anything would be better than where she came from.

Biography:

Sage, as a Faunus, well... she never really had a good life. She was teased and bullied for her fox ears and tail. The fact that her parents were wealthy... well, it didn't matter. She was still Faunus. Somehow, she still managed to keep a cheerful attitude.
Unfortunately, the fact that her parents were wealthy ended in her being kidnapped and locked in a closet for a month, fed little and treated terribly. This left her with a paralyzing fear of being alone, which was unfortunate, because her... well, hyperactive personality didn't do much to make friends.
How did she escape?
Well... that's where things get... disturbing. She was let out of the closet after the month was up, because her captors had grown tired of waiting for the ransom. They were going to kill her.
They didn't count on the fact that the month in the closet had left her both hungry and very, very angry. She jumped on the man who opened the door and bit him in the throat. The taste of the blood brought her back to her senses, and she ran, barely managing to get out. She enrolled in the Academy as soon as possible.

I find your lack of variety... what's a good word... uninteresting? The fact that I have only seen one character from you, though I know you have at least a handful more, bothers me. Fundamentally different, you and I. I RP to explore possibilities and broaden my mind. Your singular character probably has a different purpose, but it is not mine and is in fact in opposition to mine.

Simply put, I think it's being lazy. Not just using the one character, I sometimes transfer names, general back stories, and images because I like the character. But using the exact same copy/paste backstory, and the exact same "I don't want to post the backstory" line in applications is an affront to my sense of creativity.

Though you probably see differently. And therefore, I'm trying to cut down on my needless criticism.

  Silber has straight shoulder length silvery white hair with a pair of silvery white wolf ears on top of her head. Her eyes are an icy blue color and her skin pale white. She wears ice blue thigh highs and a long flowing ice blue skirt with white lace trimming. The skirt ends at her knees. She wears ice blue boots that end at mid calf. The boots have white soles.
  
  Personality
  Silber was raised as an outcast, her mother thrown out of the family and her father a faunus, her childhood was not easy. As a young girl she was picked on and abused by other children. She got into fights and was depressed and angry. But when a drunk and angry faunis attacked her school and murdered the very children that had bullied her while she hid and watched, to scared to do anything. Satisfaction was not wat she felt. Remorse, guilt. She felt that she should have done something. She decided she would never hurt another person again, and while she may never be able to live a happy life, maybe she can make others lives happy. Thus while kind and gentle, Silber always appears sad.
  
  In combat she is quick, deadly, and serious, especially when lives are on the line. She has never been good at tournaments since she finds it hard to fight others for no reason than just to fight.
  
  She has worked hard all her life. Foregoing friendships and a normal childhood in order to hone her combat skills. All so that she could be able to step in when others were in danger. When she got accepted into Beacon there was no cheering just smiling and hugs among her and her parents. Beacon was not the culmination of some life dream, it was another step, on her path to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. Another step to relinquish her quilt.
  
  Background
  Silbers mother Eis Schnee was the sister of the mother of Weiss Schnee, therefore making Silber, Weiss’s first cousin. Eis Schnee was always considered a rebel, she often fought with her mother and her father and disagreed with them on many issues. All in all Eis got in trouble. About seventeen years ago Eis’s parents discovered that she was A) pregnant and B) dating a Faunus. Eis was then cast out from the family and disowned. Eis eventually married her Faunus boyfriend Ken’ichi Kasai. They moved into a small apartment and together set forth to start a new life and raise their daughter. They named their daughter Silber for her silvery hair. The two also changed their last name to Schwalbe, Swallow.
  
  Growing up Silber was taught respect and kindness by her parents, but she often questioned why she should be respectful and kind to everyone. Silber was a faunus with a pair of very obvious wolf ears. In pre-school she was bullied and discriminated severely. When she got into elementary school her parents told her everything would be fine that people would be more tolerant, they weren’t. And so she hid, at every possible chance she hid. She began to become angry, she found herself plotting revenge against the students who bullied he. One day however an angry and drunk faunus attacked the school and went on a rampage. All but twelve students were killed. Silber survived because she had been hiding from the bullies in a cupboard. While hiding she witnessed as the enraged faunus murder the students who bullied her while she hid only a few feet away. This incident would stain her conscious the rest of her life.
  
  Throughout the rest of her childhood, Silber found herself wishing that she had been able to do something, to save those students. She didn’t care that they had bullied her, all she cared about was that they had been killed and she hadn’t tried to stop it. It was this grief that set her on the path to becoming a hunter, for she wanted the ability to keep innocent people from getting killed in horribly brutal ways. Working hard, ignoring prejudice, and saving money, Silber was able to make her way all the way to Beacon Academy so that she could finally become a hunter.
  
  One of the things that changed about Silber after the incident was that she never tried to hide being a faunus ever again. Silber acknowledged her heritage and is actually very proud to be a faunus.

  Grau has short messy blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a dunkelgrau trench coat that splits to at the waist so it doesn’t cover the front of his legs. The coat is worn over a pair of dunkelgrau pants paired with set of Black calf high combat boots and a dunkelgrau military tunic. On his head he wears a dunkelgrau bergmutze. He also wears a pair of black gloves and yellow shooters.
  
  Personality
  Grau is the strong but silent type. He rarely says anything, even his acknowledgments are grunts or shrugs. Many of his friends have often wondered if he is actually capable of talking. Despite his apparently cold demeanor Grau is actually very gentle and kind hearted and cares a lot about his friends and those close to him. Deep down Grau feels both admiration for his adoptive family but also great shame, and wishes to atone for what he did wrong. In a way protecting Silber is his way of doing this to the best of his ability.
  
  Background
  Grau was borne to a happy couple of middle class parents. His parents worked for the Schnee corporation and over the years began to resent it and it’s practices. They began to outright oppose and protest the company and then one day, when Grau was six, both his parents were mysteriously killed.
  
  Grau was left abandoned and on his own. For the next year Grau lived as a street child struggling to get by. Eventually he just couldn’t go on and gave up. Slumped up against the side of building in an alleyway he decided to just starve to death. That was when Adalbert Jaeger, founder and leader of the Jaeger mercenary band found him and took Grau in as his own son. Grau was taught to fight, and by the age of twelve was already a combat worthy member of the band. Grau had finally found a new home.
  
  The Jaeger mercenaries were a band of human and faunus soldiers who, in the war, abandoned their brethren and joined forces to fight for whatever army would pay them the most money. When the war ended the mercenaries began hiring themselves out to private companies. Their biggest contractor of course was the Schnee corporation, which hired them to run security for their more questionable mines. When the company started taking flak for many of the poor labor conditions (specifically following a riot were the Jaeger mercenaries killed 14 workers) the Schnee company started placing all blame on the mercenaries and ended their contracts. The Jaegers were not happy about this and set up a second organization comprised of their elite faunus members. This second organization called themselves the Schwarzer Fux and began launching terrorist raids on the Schnee company. The Jaegers used this as a means to show Schnee just how much they were needed to protect their business. The Jaegers were rehired however, when word got out that it was the Jaegers that created the Schwarzer Fux, the Kingdoms declared the Jaegers to large of a threat. A join military operation was launched and the Jaegers annihilated. Only Grau survived, having been ordered away prior to the battle by his father. Grau then found residence with Devin Colt, a Schnee warehouse clerk and former black market supplier for the Jaegers.
  
  Grau has since learned of just how terrible his adoptive family was, yet still holds hatred for for the Schnee company for their treatment of the Jaegers and the murder of his parents. Grau decided to enroll in Beacon in order to use his skills to help people, and possibly be able to take revenge on Schnee.

  Napier has short black hair, which he meticulously combs every day to make himself more attractive, and a pair of napier green eyes. He wears a pair of black slacks with a pair of black and white sneakers and a black dress shirt. On top of all of this he wears a black leather trench coat and a pair of black aviators. He wears his carbine’s strapped to either hip.
  
  Personality
  Napier is probably the most energetic and carefree member of team SGRN. He’s not dark and brooding like it’s leader Silber, a mute like Grau, or reserved like Ryusei. Napier is headstrong, brazen, and arrogant. He’s also extremely charismatic and a total ladies man, but not quite a player. Of course when you're raised as the heir to one of the largest companies in Remnant that may happen to you. So on the outside he’s a charismatic asshole who everyone loves. Like every book however you can’t judge it by it’s cover. In reality Napier is extremely serious. He knows that one day the future of his father's company will rest on his shoulders and that his decisions will affect that future. So while Napier may have a strong image, it’s just that, an image.
  
  Background
  Napier was born into the Savage family, the owners of the mighty North Atlas Aircraft company well known for it’s military airships and aircraft. As a young boy Napier was schooled in the arts of business management, aircraft design, speech writing and giving, and of course combat, aura and the like. His father also floated on many occasions that Napier should think of marrying one of the Schnee children for a merger between the two companies would make the North Atlas Aircraft company the most powerful in the world. As a boy he became close to the son of his father's bodyguard and his own future bodyguard Ryusei. By the time he was thirteen Napier was designing and building model aircraft and airships as well as his own weapons. It was also around this time that he got into tournament fighting.
  
  Napiers first few tournaments went well but he succeeded mostly on his semblance and sheer dumb luck and always lost at some point. Napier however, understood that raw talent alone would not be able to take him far. So he trained, honed his skills and perfected his weapon design. eventually he became one of the best tournament fighters there was. Only to find that time and time again he lost or tied with one person. Pyrrha Nikos. The one obstacle he could for some reason never climb. He swore that one day he would beat her.
  
  Unfortunately when he was shipped off to Beacon by his parents it looked like the opportunities to achieve this goal was beyond his reach. When he learned that both Pyrrha and Weis Schnee would be attending Beacon he quickly realised that it was going to be the perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

Team Loadout:

  Grau’s weapon is a lance and tower shield. The tower shield is tough enough to survive most weapons and Grimm attacks. The lance is also an 88mm bolt action magazine fed recoilless anti-tank rifle. When in firing mode the lande splits open revealing the rifle barrel. When in rifle mode the lance halves can be rotated down becoming stabilisers for the rifle. There is a hatch in the shield that Grau can stick the barrel through to protect himself while he fires it.
• > team member 3 weapon < Umi to Sora (Ocean and Sky): A Katana and Wakizashi taht combine into a Yumi Bow.

  A pair of carbines. Each carbine is a break open revolving action made with a wood handguard and straight grip wood stock. The barrel, magazine, action and trigger are all made of metal. The trigger is flatter than normal to allow each carbine to be wielded similar to a sword. Running from the end of the barrel (extending over actually by a couple of inches) to the start of the handguard, on the bottom of the gun is a single blade. He hand guard is large than normal to allow the weapon to be easily flipped around and twirled.

Team Semblances:

  Silber’s semblance is she can heat or cool and object, her own body temperature, or the air around to well above boiling and well below freezing. This power combined with the taper on outer blade of each of her weapons, allows her minimal flight by using the effects of thermals and air currents. She often heats or cools her blades depending on the what effect she wants to have.

  Grau’s is strong and so is his aura, but his control is poor and when he gets really into a fight his aura poor’s off of him in visible waves that intimidate his opponents. Grau’s semblance is actually to just boost the base effects of his aura ten fold making himself even stronger and tougher than he already is. He can also poor his aura into his comrades to boost their strengths or smother his opponents under the crushing weight of it.
• > team member 3 semblance < Tracking: The ability to guide an object to the target.

  Napiers semblance allows him to see several seconds into the future but only works for events happening within discernible sensory distance. This ability allows him to react to that event making his fighting skills extremely high. However it has it’s limits, he can dodge a bullet, he can dodge three bullets, he can’t dodge machinegun fire.

Team History:Gonna need to give this one some thought.

Carbine generally refers to the length of the weapon. It's a pretty broad term. I think what's being described is something similar to the Colt Revolving Carbine...

That's basically what I had in mind but slightly shorter and with a wood handguard and blade. The stock is also straighter. I would draw it, but I suck at drawing.

The shape of the stock, hand guard (though longer), and hinge location of this double barreled shotgun is a lot closer to Napier's carbine. The major differences (in terms of construction) is that the trigger is larger and flatter (similar to a crossbow) and there is a very large trigger guard (big enough for a whole hand).
