Heiwa threw her hands in the air and began dancing around in a little victory jig. She turned back to Alice and grinned,
"Oh don't worry, I sleep like a big, heavy, dead rock. It won't be a problem. Anywho, thank you. I'll try keep my super-villainy from causing too many explosions. But I can't promise you won't wake up covered in puppies and kittens one day."
She said with a serious face. Pondering if she could run a mini test run of her super-villain plan with her roommate. Then she looked at William and grinned,
"Hello friend. So, I found a roommate. Which is good."
She said with a giggle.

Alice grinned. "No problem. I have no issues with that." Animals don't fear me...

William nodded at what Alice had said and after Heiwa's outburst of energy, he grinned.
"That's great. Always nice, I believe to find a roommate.
HIVEmind? Where is that from? "
He looked around the cafeteria and saw Ethan alone, fixing a circuit. Electricity, right. He observed the two girls that were now talking to each other.

"Oh, it's from a book series, called HIVE, about this school for villains. HIVEmind is the AI running the whole school--Caine reminds me of him, so that's what I'm going to call him now." She stood up. "Anyway, he wanted a word with me, so I'd better go." She walked out into the hallway. "Okay, HIVEmind, I'm ready."

Caine saw Alice leave the cafeteria. "Alright, Alice. So after the first aid staff took Julian away, his condition was... deteriorating," He said carefully. "So I decided to take Julian to a more advanced hospital underground. He's doing fine now, but I'm keeping him down there for a little while longer to make sure he's alright."

William greeted Alice who was leaving and decided to talk to Ethan, who he hadn't talked to since yesterday.
"Well, I will get going as well. Bye, Heiwa."
He approached Ethan.
"Hey, what are you doing over here. How was the test?"

Alice grinned. "No problem. I have no issues with that." Animals don't fear me...
"Oh, it's from a book series, called HIVE, about this school for villains. HIVEmind is the AI running the whole school--Caine reminds me of him, so that's what I'm going to call him now." She stood up. "Anyway, he wanted a word with me, so I'd better go." She walked out into the hallway. "Okay, HIVEmind, I'm ready."

Caine saw Alice leave the cafeteria. "Alright, Alice. So after the first aid staff took Julian away, his condition was... deteriorating," He said carefully. "So I decided to take Julian to a more advanced hospital underground. He's doing fine now, but I'm keeping him down there for a little while longer to make sure he's alright."

She looked worried for a moment, but when he said Julian was doing fine she relaxed visibly. "Oh, okay. Is it all right if I see him?" Nobody ever visited me in the hospital. I don't want to be like that.

William greeted Alice who was leaving and decided to talk to Ethan, who he hadn't talked to since yesterday.
"Well, I will get going as well. Bye, Heiwa."
He approached Ethan.
"Hey, what are you doing over here. How was the test?"

"Oh, h-hello," Ethan didn't expect William to approach him. "I was j-just over here, since everyone else s-seemed to b-be involved in c-conversations. I n-notice you m-met Heiwa." Ethan didn't want to tell him about the test just yet. I don't even want to think about the test.

She looked worried for a moment, but when he said Julian was doing fine she relaxed visibly. "Oh, okay. Is it all right if I see him?" Nobody ever visited me in the hospital. I don't want to be like that.

Caine was expecting that question. "Of course you can. I'm afraid you'll have to take the long way since I destroyed the elevators with explosives. I'll open up an entrance." A closet door, normally locked, opened, and the wall behind it slid aside, revealing a small elevator. "Go on in, then."

She blinked in surprise, but entered the elevator. "Thanks, HIVEmind." She paused, tilting her head in thought. [i]Some people don't like nicknames. "You don't mind if I call you that, do you?"

"Unfortunately, there are quite a lot of stairs you'll need to take to get to the hospital," Caine said. "But at least you get to tour the underground. Go ahead through the door," Caine said, turning off the automated turret directly above the door, and swinging the metal door open, revealing a massive cavern, several miles wide and stretching down into darkness. Buildings and structures clung to the walls of the cavern, and metal gantries, pipes, and elevator shafts spanned the chasm. Robotic arms on rails traveled around the cavern working on building or demolishing buildings. Small drones carrying cargo flew around the cave. With a loud detonation, a chunk of an elevator shaft broke off from the rest and tumbled into the pitch black depths.

Caine, controlling a small drone that hovered beside Alice, directed her. "Follow the drone down this stairwell. Watch your step, it's a long fall."

She nodded, peering over the edge. "Yeah, wouldn't want to fall down there..." She followed the drone, watching where she walked. I don't want to end up at the bottom of this chasm the quick way.

"So over there is the nuclear power plant that powers the school," Caine said, indicating towards a series of low concrete domes on a ridge. "And down there is the hospital." The hospital was a large building clinging to the cave wall, fairly far down the chasm. Caine listed off various other features as they walked. "And here's the rocket I'm building because I'm bored."

Suddenly, a black cat, much like the one from the simulation, trotted up the stairs and rubbed against Alice's legs, purring.

"Y-yes, she's a v-very unique person... I-I'm alright... I h-had a little d-difficulty with the g-guards, b-b-but I think I'm f-feeling b-better now," Ethan stuttered.

"That's great. You know, this place is really interesting, even if I had no say regarding me attending it. "
He chuckled a little and observed the room , where many people had suddenly arrived and were talking to eaxh other.

"Y-yeah, I'm hoping things c-calm down a little. I d-don't like this m-much excitement."

It was finally Ray's turn for the test. A late find for the academy, he was taking it a few days after the others, and had missed orientation and rooming. [i]"Oh, well,"[/i] He thought, "Here we go...", He willed back the beast under his skin, as the straps tightened, and the helmet was put on. "You guys are so lucky I'm feeling strong today", he said, "You would not want to meet the other guy", he murmured as the needle slid into his head.

"Oh trust me, we are more than capable of dealing with out of control students. I don't think we have met. My name is Caine, and I am the AI that controls many school functions. Loading simulation..."

Rays simulation took place in a bank. Three men in ski masks were pointing guns at the tellers. Several dozen patrons were crouched on the ground in fear. The men were having the teller open a vault and take out the money.


"This is your simulation, good luck," Caine said as he dropped Ray behind a desk.

"I'll see you tonight," she said quickly, breaking away from him. "I want to check on Julian, he looked pretty bad after that whole ordeal."

"See ya!" he says and walks away. Then, he moves towards Ethan. "Hello there," he says "What's your name??"

Ethan had turned back to working on his circuit when another boy approached him. "M-my name is Ethan," he said. "What's y-yours?"
