She nodded. "Merci, Julian. For now... I need to think about it longer, but I don't think I will accept it. It is my smile that made me who I am today... and I feel if I removed it, I would be abandoning myself."

Julian looked at the scars and put his hand on her cheek. "Someone harmed by society willing to help them. It is like a classical hero's story."

After the simulation was over, Julius started to walk in the direction of the cafeteria. He saw the commotion caused by Julian, but he didn't intervene. They weren't worth the effort.

He eventually reached the cafeteria and took a seat at an empty table. He started to drink tea in silence, thinking about something.

Heiwa Haruka
Heiwa dished herself up some lunch. Delicious stir fry, well she hoped it was delicious. That was always the thing with stir fry, sometimes it was good, sometimes you REAALLLY needed to drown it in sauce for it to be bearable.
Now, let's find some people who won't immediately zap me or whatever. . .
She thought as the sounds of a fight echoed through to the cafeteria. Heiwa simply sighed and shook her head. Why would people start fights here? They clearly had no chance. It was just foolish. Instead she turned her attention to the cafeteria and her continued search for company. At one table there was an odd boy and a catgirl who seemed to be chatting, although whatever the catgirl was up to made Heiwa think twice about going there. Another person entered and talk a seat at a table alone, he was drinking tea, so that was a good sign, she liked tea.
Yes, we can exchange notes on the best preparation methods for Earl Grey and Oulong.
She thought to herself with a soft chuckle as she approached Julius' table.
"Hi, um, sorry to bother. But are these seats free? Eating stir fry standing is one challenge I'd rather not try again." She said to Julius cheerfully.

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a girl that asked him if the seats were free. Julius looked at her for a few seconds, with his uncovered right eye.
"Yes, the seats are free.", he said, before taking a sip from the tea. Some interaction from time to time probably wouldn't be that bad.
"My name is Julius. What's yours?", asked the purple eyed boy.

William was at the cafeteria when the commotion happened and went there to find out Julian bleeding, with Alice near him. He returned to the cafeteria, unable to do anything else.So useless
There he saw Jack, a catgirl, another boy and a girl to a different table.Only Jack he knew so he decided to approach them. He grabbed a small bottle of water and went closer to the unknown boy and girl, who he could see now, for the boy, that he had purple eyes, or eye as one was covered. It's not often I find someone with strangely coloured eyes he thought.
"Hello. My name is William, nice to meet you. Can I sit at your table?"
He wasn't accustomed to socializing so was generally bad at it.

Heiwa smiled cheerfully and placed her tray on the table before stepping back and making a fanciful curtsy as she'd seen many of the American and British performers at her school.
"My name is Heiwa Haruka, it is a pleasure to meet you Julius."
She replied before taking her seat. She carefully lay her violin down next to her on the table, mentally fretting over each string and praying there weren't any scratches on the wood. Then she turned her attention to food and company,
"So, not going to get any food? The tests made me really hungry. Something about having bullets shot at you and grenades roll up next to your feet renews your love of life a bit. The stir-fry is really good though . . ."
She said happily before taking another bite of the stir fry. Managing quite effectively to avoid rudely staring at the boy's one purple eye. When another boy arrived she turned and smiled cheerfully,
"I don't think that would be a problem William, I think we have room for one more."

Julius couldn't stop from looking at the violin. You couldn't see someone carrying a violin around every day, and that was also reminding him of someone.
"Nice to meet you Heiwa.", siad Julius before taking yet one another sip from the tea. Seeing that another boy wanted to stay at the table he quickly responded:
"The seats are free. You can stay, of course."
The raven haired boy remained silent for a few more moments, before responding to Heiwa's question.
"I don't think that I'll get any food now. Killing all those people made me feel pretty sick, for unknown reasons. I'll just stick to the tea for now."

Heiwa cringed at the mention of killing people. The image of the humans stepping up to take those bullets for her chilled her somewhat.
"Sounds like yours was quite the violent simulation then. I was surprised they even let me stay after mine . . . That was just a car crash."
She said with a surprisingly cheerful tone.
"Erm, figuratively I mean. Not literally, although I'm not entirely sure what I would have done then either."
She added hastily. She had noticed him looking at her violin, and eager to change the subject she picked it up,
"Do you play?"
She asked with a grin as she found her bow again.

William thanked them both and satat the table. He heard their names, Julius and Haiwa. I wonder about their powershe thought and continued listening discreetly.
He heard about Julius killing in the simulation and wondered what kind of simulation was his. Does he mean innocents or those that deserve it? William thought and said to Julius.
"What kind of simulation was yours? Were you requested to stop a natural phenomenon?"
He also wondered about his powers, that he was sure was, at least a part, due to his purple eyes.

"I used to play. A long time ago. My sister taught me.", answered Julius with a sad smile on his face. The purple eyed boy that looked at William for a few moments before answering.
"I hat a totally stupid simulation. I had to save some human workers from a factory guarded by robots. I still don't understand the reason. Those people didn't deserve to be saved."

"I see, do you miss her?"
She asked gently. Then she heard them talking about the simulations and Julius' reply. She sighed as she saw the conflict coming.
"I was supposed to save hostages from the army. . . Did not go that well . . . "
She looked at William curiously,
"Well if we're so different then how come they hate us? Its only fair. They don't want us around, why should we let them stay?"
She said with a shrug.

"The humans are the real monsters.", said Julius, with anger in his purple eye.
"I will never forgive then for what they have done. When Judgment Day comes, they will pay. They will all pay for their sins."
Looking back at Heiwa, Julius answered in a low voice.
"Well yes, I miss her. I don't even know if she's alive, but anyway, it doesn't matter."

William looked at them both.
"You speak of humans as beings that do not deserve to live in this world, you perceive yourselves as better. What are you though? Humans with a power. Not worse, not better.People always fear the different. But, if we show people that we are like them, if we show that those that want to start a new Inquisition, the true masterminds behind such a plan, are the real monsters, not only will we be accepted but praised among the populace.
People, powered or not, can, have and will be cruel. But there are kind ones as well. I do not think myself of something better or worse, of something different than a human.
Judgement Day? Then you will be as bad as the worst of them. If you ahve a Judgement Day, don't forget to judge yourself."
On another note, William said.
"Do you think they will allow us to send letters? To the outside world?"

She said with a giggle.
"You two are so serious about this. Don't worry, I'm sure they will. They said it isn't a prison. And even prisoners get mail."

Heiwa nodded cheerfully,
"Yes, I control soundwaves to a certain extent. Tis handy when I don't want to listen to people talking. I can also make people dance to my tune so to speak."
She said with a sigh and shook her head,
"Apparently now that I can do that my entire music career is completely worth it."
She muttered. She looked to Julius, tilting her head curiously.
"That is indeed the difference. I don't really . . . Wish to be judged that much . . . Honestly, I just want to survive. And I don't think the humans really want me to, but no matter. So what are your powers you two? Seeing as we're destined to be on opposite sides William I could probably use some information of who is going to be stopping me from drawing mustaches on the movie posters."
She said with a chuckle and a smile. Julius was quite the dramatic one . . . And he was kind of dark Heiwa noticed. All very serious.

William looked at Julius and replied.
"Yea, I suppose this is the difference. Just, actions mark who or what someone is, not a classification or his genes."
He drank some more of the water and replied to Heiwa, with a slight smile.
"Sound waves. You are very powerful. Sound is one of the greatest weapons. Or just a tool for fun. It can be great for that too.
My powers? Well, I can control and generate ice with my blue eye, and fire with my red eye. I need some training to hone those skills and, perhaps to improve them."

Heiwa
Heiwa's smile faltered a little when William complimented her power,
"Well . . . I suppose sound is powerful I just need to get stronger . . . And find a way to get around earplugs. Wish humans weren't so damn complex, resonance would work so well . . ."
She mused quietly, pondering if bones had a resonant frequency even under all that flesh.
"I see, so you're an elemental then? Sounds interesting. So you can make your own fire and ice then?"
She asked William curiously before Julius spoke. She listened intently, curious about his oddly coloured eyes, although it seemed their new acquaintance had oddly coloured eyes as well.
"Well, that is quite handy. But what does your cursed eye do? Is it really cursed though? I mean there's always two sides to a situation."
She said, absentmindedly reaching for her violin now that her food was finished.

"I have what is called "the Power of Absolute Obedience" ", said Julius, taking his eye patch off. A red, strange sigil was shining in left eye, almost completely covering his purple color.
"I can plant commands directly into a person's mind, and they can't disobey my order. Of course, it only works once per person, and I recently had problems toggling it off. If I don't cover it, I'll have to be very careful with why I say. I don't want that to happen again."
Putting the eye patch back, he looked at the other two persons that were sitting at the table and continued.
"This is why I call it a curse."

Heiwa looked at Julius with a raised eyebrow.
"You are a very serious person. You know that right? Lighten up a bit. World's already gloomy enough."
She said with a chuckle and reached over to gently push his shoulder playfully. Then she smiled to him,
"Well, then the world is your oyster. You can take whatever you want. Once at least. Do you think mirrored sunglasses would block the effects?"
She asked curiously. If they did he could simply wear those instead of covering his eye.
"I'm sure you could find something less conspicuous to cover your eye with. Perhaps a tinted monocle?"
She said with a chuckle,
"That would be sooooooo discreet."

Julius smiled."You're probably right. Anyway, sunglasses or glasses have no effect. And a monocle? Really? I'm sure that I won't look suspicious at all. Everyone wears monocles this days."
This was really funny. And for the first time since coming here, Julius thought that this academy wasn't that bad of an idea.
"Well, I tried to buy a special eye lense, made from a special material. I was actually on my way to meet the seller, when this guys made me the offer to come here. I wanted to be polite, so I had to accept of course."

Heiwa chuckled, at least Julius was lightening up a bit, even if just for a moment.
"Because eye patches are just as common place as monocles now. Seriously, for halloween we're dressing you up as a pirate."
She said light-heartedly as she began fiddling with the tuning knobs while testing the strings with the bow.
"Well, I'm sure you could talk . . . To the principal or . . . Caine or someone about collecting for you."
She said rather distractedly.
"You got lucky though, at least they asked you. I was kidnapped off a street bench."
She said with a shake of her head and a chuckle.
"Rather annoying way to be woken up to be honest. Middle of the night too. No respect for sleep."
