Rachel nodded slowly. She dropped the girl off at the doctors, who took Rose to another room hastily set up for the surgery. "How deep is the chip?" One doctor asked.

"It's on my spine," explained Rose, sitting down on the surgery table. The idea of surgery didn't phase her, she'd done far more painful things in the past. "I've seen X-rays of it, its shaped like a pyramid."

"Yes, but where exactly, and how deep down is it?" The doctor asks. He hadn't prepared to do a surgery, and vague answers didnt help.

The doctor carefully lifted the back of her shirt and marked the spot with a marker. "Alright," he said. "We'll need to put you on anesthesia." Another doctor hooked an iv of sedative into Roses arm.

"Restrain her," the doctor said. Another doctor tied Rose down to the table so she wouldn't move. The doctor removed Roses shirt and began the operation.

After a few minutes of cutting, he groaned. "The chip is attached to her spinal cord," he said. It would take a while to remove.

The patient thrashed, and the doctor just barely kept control to avoid severing her spinal cord. "Can you get her some stronger sedative?" He asked, frustrated. As it was, her unfortunate movement made his scalpel nick the girls spinal cord. It would take some time to heal. He sighed and continued the surgery.

William witnessed Ethan approaching a group of students that were talking and went close to them. He stood near to participate in the conversation. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his head, but ignored it.

Or maybe you could ask that one lady who talked to me while I was carrying Gabriel's corpse. She might know something."

The doctor sighed. He cleaned up the area around the wound. "Reduce her dose," he said. They lessened the amount of anesthesia entering the girl's body. Hopefully she would wake up soon.
