House application
Name of House: Cotalli
Leader of house: Mitzhla III Cotalli
House specialization: Soldiers and peacekeepers
Land controlled by the house (be resonable): http://i.imgur.com/L9TyPk2.png Dot is the capital
Loyal to the king?: Yes, though barely. Their isolated location and unique traditions make them more loyal to their local rulers than to the country as a whole.

History of the house: A polytheistic culture of the west, House Cotalli ruled over their own soveirgn until the much larger royal army marched in to their lands. They fought fiercly to maintain independence, and succeeded in holding off the massive royal horde. Eventually, however, exhaustion, starvation and attrition took its toll, and the Cotalli were forced to surrender. The conquerors were merciful though, and the Cotalli were allowed a certain amount of autonomy over their lands.

Do they hate anyone specific?: While they distrust all outsiders to a certain degree, they do not have any outright hostility to anyone in particular. They have learned to coexist with their rulers, and enjoy the extra bolster their liege lord gives their armies.

Family tree/lineage:
Heads of house:
Moctan The Wise
Cauhoc Cotalli
Moctan II Cotalli
Mitzhla Cotalli
Mitzhla II The Divine
Ilhumic The Tlatloani Who Knelt
Chitzli The White Hand
Mitzhla III Cotalli

Specialized guard: The Cotalli utilize a specialized troop called the Macuahuitlist. Rather than using a sword, they wield a deadly macuahuitl, a wooden blunt blade with metal or obsidian shards embedded in to the sides. Reports say that an experienced user can cut the head off a horse, or cut a man in half, with a single swing of the weapon. The Cotalli Macuahuitlists also used to have rounded wooden shields with feathers hanging from their bottoms, but have since replaced them with metal ones after their subjugation by the king's armies. A macuiahuitlist can be identified from a normal soldier by the animal skins they wear. Some have hoods of a jaguar's hide, others decorate their shoulders with the feathers of exotic birds.

Do they follow any specific deity?: Yes, the Cotalli follow their own pantheon of gods native to their culture.

Kotacuetz, the winged serpent god of the skies with a beautifully feathered mane on the back of his head. It was with his breath that the winds formed, and with his roars that thunder cracks above the skies. To the Cotalli, Kotacuetz is the guardian of scholars, writers and performers, and he is mainly a patron god to those in the upper rings of society who have more time to appreciate the arts.

Nahacuetz, the lurking goddess of the oceans. It is said that Nahacuetz takes the form of a giant sea serpent with two mouths and six eyes. She made the oceans from her tears. In her human form, she lures young men to the ocean to drown, so that they may prove that their minds are not overwhelmed with greed and lust, and that they are hard working without time for pleasures. She is the protector of farmers, fishers, and slaves. She is patron mostly to the hard working lower class, who hope that if they put enough effort in to their work, they can avoid her wrath.

Xachicuetz, the rock skinned serpent of the earth. Xachicuetz is said to have made the earth from his shed skin as he grew larger and larger. Youngest and most energetic of the gods, he is said to grant his strength to mortal men in their times of need, and is especially fond of helping heroes. Protector of soldiers and merchants, he is worshipped mainly in the middle class and in the army, so that his strength and energy will help the people succeed.

An interesting note about the Cotalli religion is that they believe that their gods are weak. Just as the humans need their gods to survive, so too do the gods need worship. In order to replenish the strength of the gods and help them maintain their immortality, the Cotalli offer their gods human sacrifice. Every year, a young man or woman is chosen at random from among the noble families and given a ten day long relief from duty, where they are given plentiful food, servants, and gold. At the end of the ten days, they are brought to the Great Temple where their heart is ripped out, and their blood feeds the gods for another year. These savage sacrifices have given the Cotalli a barbaric name among outsiders, while the Cotalli simply believe everyone else is ungrateful for what they do to maintain the world.

House application
Name of House: The House of Odrysia
Leader of house: Julius Verayne
House specialization: The Odrysians are known as brave warriors, excellent scouts and good navigators.
Land controlled by the house (be resonable):
Loyal to the king?: The Odrysians aren't exactly the most loyal subjects, as they want their independence back. Still, they act as loyal underlings. For now.
History of the house:
Long before the birth of the first High King, the lands of the house of Odrysia were inhabited by many fierce Northern tribes, constantly at war. The people in this area were known as the Getae, and were different from the other humans, especially due to their... strange eye and hair colors. The first one who attempted to unite them was Odryseus.
A noble from the North, Odryseus was the son of Kronos, the God of Time and Trickery. Being blessed by the Gods, Odryseus conquered all the rest of the Northern states in this area, becoming the first Voievod, a word in High Odrysian meaning "Ruler, King", and creating the House of Odrysia. The Odrysian Empire ruled various parts of the North even after the death of Odryseus.
The biggest threat to the existence of the Odrysian Empire came from inside. While the self-proclaimed High Kings were rising in the south, Odrysia was ruled by a weak Voievod, Alexander "the Weak". His smaller brother, Velisarius, rebelled. A long civil war started, that continued even after Alexander's death. However, the rebel armies were crushed in front the invincible walls of the Odrysian capital, Regia, and Velisarius was killed by Alexander's son, Michael. Michael was crowned as the next Voievod.

However, the civil war, left Odrysia weakened. The High Kings defeated and massacred the Odrysian forces led by Michael in the infamous Battle of Trekiznam. Michael was killed, and Charles, his minor son, pledged his loyalty to the High King of Tych, even if Regia was never conquered.

The Odrysians were always known as fierce and proud people, and in order to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, the High Kings let them with a certain degree of autonomy. However, until the House of Odrysia once again managed to take control over the other houses, the Odrysians rebelled a number of times. Each rebellion was crushed. In the last decades, the Odrysians were loyal subjects, but that might change..

Do they hate anyone specific?: The Odrysians aren't too fond of the Southerners, as they are perceived as oppressors.
Family tree/lineage:
Voievods of the House of Odrysia
Odryseus "the Great"
Alexander "the Weak"
Velisarius "the White Draco"( self-proclaimed Voievod)
Michael"the Last Draco"
Charles "the Coward"
Ziraxes "the Wise"
Julius Verayne( Verayne is a word in Odrysian that's usually translated as "the Crooked One", the same word used to describe Kronos)
Specialized guard: The Odrysian Knights( also known as the Knights of Kronos)
In order to become a Knight, an Odrysian has to train from an early age. The Knights are extremely well trained soldiers, that can fight both on horse and on foot. As cavalry, they are using spears, and they always charge with their Draco flags ( similar to the Dacian Draco), which have an incredibly morale effect. On foot, they are fighting with the falx, a larger two handed version of the Odrysian sword "sica". A two-handed sword with a forward-curving blade, a falx can cut a man in two from the top of his head to his breastbone.
Do they follow any specific deity?: The Odrysians are following their own deities, like Zamolxis, Bendis, Gebeleizis, Gloria, Victoria, Terraria, Solus, Vector and Sina. However, due to the House of Odrysia's pretended bloodline, the most popular god is Kronos, the God of Time and Trickery in the Odrysian religion.

Age: 20
Male or female?: Male
Appearance:
Image

Breif background:
Julius was born as the bastard son of Ziraxes "the Wise". Following the Odrysian tradition, Ziraxes raised his bastard together with his true sons and sisters. However, Julius was always different from his siblings. Not only was he born with black hair and purple eyes, a rare combination even for the Odrysians( it's said that Odryseus had black hair and purple eyes), but he was always more intelligent then all the other children of the House. He was never a muscular person, and he always won all his battles using dirty tricks. That combined with his many schemes and plans, earned him the nickname: "Verayne", just like the God, Kronos. He slowly but surely gained more and more popularity, eventually surpassing his elder brother.
After his father's death, Julius won the short "battle", that was fought between his siblings, and he was elected as the new head of the House of Odrysia.
Profession: Julius is currently the Voievod of the House of the Odrysia
Are they loyal to any specific house: Julius is more loyal to Kronos and to himself then to the House of Odrysia, but he considers ruling it to be his duty.
Do you study magic: Yes, he studies dark magic, but mostly in secret.
Can you read or are you illiterate?: Julius can read extremely well.

City application:
Name of city: Regia
Does it have walls? If so what kind: Yes, Regia is surrounded by multiple double-walls with towers. The walls are made from a dark and extremely strong stone, the same stone which forms the Mountain of Sarmisegetuza.
Size: Regia is really large. The city occupies the Mountain of Sarmisegetuza, both in and out, and an area down below, surrounding the mountain.
Avg population: About 50.000 people
Main export: Iron, gold, silver, and Varanium.
Any docks?: None
Does it have a city hall?: Yes, deep inside the mountain
Guards: The city is usually guarded by about 6000 people. The guards are usually armed like this, but some are given weapons and armors made from the dark metal known as Varanium.
whats the education like?: Pretty good, as Regia is the place where the High University is.
History of the city and how it was founded:
Exactly when the city was founded is unknown. Most of the people believe that Kronos made the city himself, for his son, Odryseus. The first mentioning of the city is during the so called "Odrysian Wars", when Odryseus made it his capital. Due to its isolated location, Regia was never conquered, and serves as the capital of the House of Odrysia even today, being one of the biggest and richest cities of Odrysia.
Surrounding terrain: Regia is surrounded by mountains, and it's built on and inside the Mountain of Sarmisegetuza. There are only two passes through the mountains that lead to the city, each pass being protected by a fortress.
Any places of worship?: Regia contains multiple temples, and the biggest is the Temple of Kronos.
Anything extra you want to add: Nothing for now.

I took the name of Odrysia from the Odrysian Kingdom, the first united kingdom of the real life Thracians, but my Odrysians are mostly inspired by the Dacians. Also, the world "Voievod" is a word in Romanian and possibly some Slavic languages, and it was used in Wallachia, Moldova, and Transylvania as the title of the ruler, together with the word "Domn".

It all looks really good, I'd like to see an app for your gods though there very interesting, it's optional really just to give it a bit of depth to the rp.

Also I may or may not be adding dragons

I will make an app for them, today or the latest tomorrow.

I`m tempted to bring an undead faction in here and maybe place them on the most northern continent. Guess I`ve played too much Skyrim

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one around here who hasn't played any Skyrim.

You should totally get it! 15€ on Steam and with mods and DLCs it gets fantastic! I personnally recommend the Dawnguard DLC (20€). It`s really usefull and adds in some quite interesting stuff which is also used in a lot of Mods.

Around 40€.. let's see. .. 200 RON. It will be a tough choice. Skyrim, or a KanColle figurine.

The anime is really cool, and the game is awesome. Shipgirls, aliens, stuff. I'm after a Bismark or a Prinz Eugen figurine. Although, I might ask for both Skyrim and a figurine for my birthday, depending on my grades.
