Matriarch Seri finally receives clearance and goes to meet with the Admiralty Board. While she was waiting she has recieved word about Thessia's companies cutting corners and she grounds her teeth. "I am going to make someone's head explode over this" She growls in her head. As she passes by a window she makes note of damage done to a Live Ship. "No species should live like this. Living only one hull breach away from extinction. This needs to be changed either through diplomacy or through fire and war." She snorts at the thought. "Diplomacy? With the Geth? Why would they ever listen to us? No, the Geth attacks on Council space shows they haven't changed despite these 300 years. They still seek to destroy organics and we must still fight them. But maybe someday..."

She stops and flashes back to Rannoch. The fire, the blood, the screams as the Quarians waged war on their own creations. "Move up! Move up!" She yells at her Battalion. "If the Geth manage to take this position all is lost!"

They advance alongside her yet another wave of Geth arrive and open fire the Battalion return fire but after 10 days of nonstop fighting on this front most of them are too tired to continue their advance, the biotic troops are especially tired due to them having to continually use their biotics, and are pushed back. Seri puts her assault rifle behind her back and takes out a pair of pistols and charges the Geth lines once more. "Colonel!" One the the Turians under her command yells.

"Fall back!" She yells back. "I've got the rearguard!" That Turian, three other Turians, and a Krogan all run up to her and form up with her. "What?" She asks stunned. "I told you to fall back!"

"We aren't finished yet ma'am!" One of the Turians tells her.

She sighs on the inside and grins. "Alright let's give it all we got." They let out a battle cry and charge. "This is Colonel Seri to artillery battery 17, I need an artillery barrage on my position ASAP!" The artillery rains down on the Geth lines giving them some breathing space but before they know it artillery rains down on them from the Geth lines. "Scatter!" She yells "They are using a creeping barrage!"

She and her men scatter and she jumps into an artillery crater to wait out the barrage. By this point night is getting close and it is getting darker, she can't see much of the inside of her crater, but that won't stop the Geth. "You are not a creator." A robotic voice tells her. Most of her body is too tired to do much but she limply raises her pistol and turns on the light on her uniform and sees a Geth laying across from here. "This unit is unarmed and doesn't possess motor functions any more. What will you do?"

She lets her pistol drop. "I am too tired to keep fighting so nothing I suppose."

"This unit has an inquiry."

"Hurry it up Geth." Seri says closing her eyes. "You are still an enemy."

"Why do the Creators hate us?"

This causes her eyes to snap open. "What?"

"Why do the Creators want to destroy us? What have we done wrong? Have we displeased them in someway?"

A machine shouldn't be asking these questions, especially one that is rising against their creators. "You rose up against your creators. It is only natural they would hate you."

"Error the Geth only started fighting back after the Creators started trying to destroy us."

"What?"

"The Creators first tried to reprogram us, then disable us, then after failing both of those they are trying to kill us. We only started fighting after the third step. As far as we can tell this started when a single Geth Unit asked a Creator if we had a soul."

"A machine really shouldn't be asking that." She thinks. "What happened then?"

"After that the Creators followed the steps we have previously described, it has currently led to the situation we are in now. So we repeat the question. What have we done wrong?"

"I... I don't know." She says honestly.

"So organics do not understand one another?"

"That is natural for being an organic."

"We see. Thank you for this knowledge. We just want to understand the Creators."

"No... problem." After the artillery barrage ends he returns to her Battalion, much to their relief.

She returns to the present. "Maybe one day we may be able to sit down together." She thinks and shakes her head. "Maybe but for now, as a human once said, 'if you are going through hell keep going.'" She keeps walking and when she arrives she snaps a salute. "Matriarch Seri, also known as Colonel Seri, the commander of the Rannoch Relief Battalion from the Geth Uprising." She puts her hands behind her back. "It is a pleasure to meet the current Admirals of the Admiralty Board." She takes a bit of a deep breath and continues. "I will be to the point. First off you should know that no one besides you, my crew, and the Quarians of the fleet know that I am here. Now to business as you well know the Geth has recently attacked Council. Most politicians, and even military officers, are content to believe that worst is over and wishes to sit around doing nothing about the continuing threat the Geth pose to organics. This will have to kept secret but on behalf of the Asari military I propose an alliance with the Quarians against the Geth with the hopes of one day retaking the Quarian homeworld and removing the Geth threat."

Meanwhile...

A message arrives to where Liara T'soni is staying and all it says is

Code: Select all
To Benezia's daughter Dr. Liara T'soni,
It has been much too long since I last wrote to you thus I would like to amend that. I invite you to my office next month to meet and discuss things. I have a few questions and it would be good to catch up.
-Matriarch Seri

In other areas memos were handed out to various offices.

Code: Select all
To Asari High Command,
A new policy on choosing the commander in chief of the military has been implemented, as per agreement from the voting we had sometime ago. The office of commander in chief is to be held by a member of high command elected by high command. No one who isn't member of High Command can vote. As per the compromise the commander in chief is elected to 30 year terms and there is no term limit. Matriarch Seri is currently in her 67th year of command thus come her 90th will be when the next election is held.

Code: Select all
To all Asari Military Personnel,
By order of the commander in chief effective immediately all of duty personnel and all personnel on leave are mandated to carry a weapon at all times (no matter how potent your biotics are this is still mandated).

Code: Select all
To the Asari Military Recruitment Office,
I am expending the amount of money that will be expended on recruitment and expending benefits to soldiers in hopes of attracting more members.
-Matriarch Seri

And then she has a more secretive message sent to Dalatrass Aerhin Relbana
Code: Select all
To the esteemed Dalatrass Aerhin Relbana,
In the interests of Asari Security I have sent this note along with a pair of my personal Asari Commandos named Adina and Jule who I have assigned to work with STG until future notice. You will find them to be quite good at simple things such as assassination, spying, and interrogation, attached is a copy of their records concerning their interrogations, including how much time it took for them to break someone. I only have conditions: that they come back when I say they come back and any order I give them will be considered to have higher priority than yours. Otherwise they are under your direct command.
In friendship,
Matriarch Seri, commander in chief of the Asari military.

This message is carried by them and they arrive on Sur'kesh and head to the Dalatrass' office

Greetings to the Asari Republics. I speak for all Elcors when I thank you helping us in joining the Intergalatic community. The Elcor has since played a small, but nonetheless, important part in contributing to the Council and to the world. In light of the recent attack on the Citadel, the Elcor has come to believe that the passiveness in our past policies can no longer benefit the Elcor people. For the first time in history, We wish to
to take a more active role and would like your helping gaining a full seat on the Council.

"Calls for other species to join the Council, especially amongst the Asari population has been on the rise." She mutters. "Besides the Elcor deserves a spot on the Council more than the Humans do." She immediately forwards it to Councilor Tevos.

ALCHERA, OMEGA SYSTEM

Under the leadership of Commander Daniel Maxon, the CSV New York circled around the planet. Inside, Commander Maxon stood at the Galaxy Map, which showed a display of the planet Alchera. Radar lines swiped across the map, but thousands of dots came up. He turned to Specialist Richards behind him. "Try scanning for scrambled radio frequencies. The ship could still have empty radio signals shooting out from busted equipment". Specialist Richards nodded and began to scan for random radiowaves, eventually zooming in on a random signal near the equator. Specialist Richards began to speak.

"This signal went dark a few weeks ago. Empty radio static, mostly, but I'm getting random phrases and words embedded in the signal. Can't make it out, but its worth a check". Commander Maxon nodded and pat Richards on the back, then boarded the elevator and took it down to the Shuttle Bay. When he arrived, a dozen Cerberus Soldiers were already getting geared up and boarding shuttles. Daniel got in his own Cerberus Armor, and then boarded a shuttle...

As the Dalatrass was reading some additional paperwork in regards to the recent expansion of the Salarian Planetary Assault Fleet, she receives a ping from her secretary up front, who conveniently also happened to be an STG commando. "Dalatrass, two Asari up front, claiming to be on leave from Thessia to be under our command under certain conditions. The command codes and encryption check out as Asari High Command, and they wish to speak with you. Shall I let them through?" Interesting, though the Dalatrass.. Usually Asari and Salarians don't perform joint operations, however, this could not come at a more convenient time. The Dalatrass begins to type out a response: "Absolutely. Send them in."

Thirty seconds later, both Asari enter the office, and hand the Pad to the Dalatrass:
Code: Select all
To the esteemed Dalatrass Aerhin Relbana,
In the interests of Asari Security I have sent this note along with a pair of my personal Asari Commandos named Adina and Jule who I have assigned to work with STG until future notice. In friendship,
Matriarch Seri, commander in chief of the Asari military.

"Interesting. Well, Commandos Adina and Jule, welcome to the STG. Take one of our Assault Landers, and join with Recon Fleet One. I'll be updating their mission soon, and they will require Asari for their operations. We've been in contact with the Turians regarding a joint operation against Cerberus. Recon Fleet Two will begin Phase One of the operation. Also, Recon Team Five is currently on Sur'Kesh and have been awaiting orders for some time. Take them with you to Recon Fleet Two, go on board the SUV Decipher, and take this pad with the new orders for the fleet, give it to the Captain, and he'll know what to do. I'll contact you with further orders later."
The Asari Commandos salute, before taking the pad containing the orders, and heading to an STG hangar on the other side of Sur'Kesh. There they load up onto several Assault Landers, and leave to rendezvous with Recon Fleet One, currently stationed in Arcturus. The pad contained the following orders:

Code: Select all
These commandos are to support our new joint operation with the Turians. They can be recalled at any time by Matriarch Seri, should she deem it necessary. Use them well while you have them. New orders as followed:

Recon Fleet One is to search for Cerberus operations, either a ship, or base. Once located, have Baelban, Aex, Adina, and Jule take the two SpecOps teams attached to Recon Team Five to the target. Eliminate who is necessary, but leave a high-ranking Cerberus officer alive, and hold said officer onboard the Decipher. Contact the Dalatarass once this is complete. Orders will follow once this is completed."

"Oh, Council meeting? Interesting. Turians might be opposed. Leiutenant, thoughts? I shall contact my Dalatrass, ask for opinion on this. Definitely an interesting development. May I ask what you wish to discuss? Might be difficult to get this through without some idea of what it is you hope to accomplish."

Lieutenant Siria Victus
Citadel Docks

Mordin spoke, her eyes were still locked on the geth. She was lucky to have such steady hands, she was squeezing down the trigger so hard that one hair more would send a burst into the geth's chest. She was getting more and more hyped to put a bullet in this thing before it could try something. After the salarian finished she spoke in a very direct and cool tone, "Sir, with all do respect, fuck that. We have no clue what this things intentions are or even if he is hiding somthing. It wouldnt be the fist time new explosives have snuck past sencors and scan. He could try and assassinate the council for all we know. They tried it last time, what is to stop him? I say we shoot the thing in its flash light head and space it." She finished, her grip still tight against the trigger, waiting for the slightest wrong movement.

Black Watch
Sur'Kesh

The team had been sent to guard the drive cores on the civilian freighter, these were top secret and needed to be treated like so. The primarch did not trust hiring mercs and couldn't spare anyone from a line unit to guard the damn things, so he sent the best team of special forces in the Turian Hierarchy. The turian black Watch. They had alternate orders that would be hand deliverer along with the drive cores. The turian black watch wished to work with thee STG, they were outfitted with High quality weapons, the hierarchy spared no expense, all held high grade medium armor, every member of Black watch held a sniper qualification as well; all qualified for elite status. True turians who would die for the hierarchy and the council.

They were 3 hours early. The ship touched down on the dark side of Sur'Kesh in a government owned loading and unloading dock to drop of the first drive core, as promised. Once they had permission to land the team stepped off, all 27 team members all dressed in the standard black dress uniform, stood in formation with there offloaded gear placed at there left side. All awaited orders from the salarian STG as ordered. The leader Nulan Vikars stood ahead of the formation with the message in his right hand, standing straight forward they waited.

The message was as follows, (Pre recorded voice message.)
Code: Select all
From: Primarch Victus of the Turian Hierarchy
To: Dalatrass Relbana

"Dalatrass Relbana, I am placing a group of the best turian commandos under your supervision. I wish for them to personally oversee the construction of this ship that you are installing my drive core in. I need to be sure all galactic laws are being followed, as well as there not being any pocking around trying to reverse engineer my cores. To be sure we still have the deal, and I wish that we are not misunderstanding each other, this is only for the security of my people and yours as well. After The ship is finished I wish for you to use the Black Watch to assist in your operations. Maybe we can learn a thing or two from each other. They will cause no trouble for the you or the STG and understand that there lives are now in your hands, "Die for the cause." as we in the hierarchy say, over and out."

Mordin Solus,
Citadel Docks

"Lieutenant, I never said we would take the Geth directly to the Council in-person. I agree, too dangerous. Get the Geth in a room where the Councilors can speak through holographic communication. Much safer, more efficient. Constant armed guards, lockdown all nearby passageways on the route we are traveling. Bring mobile shield generators, confine the Geth to a shield, if it is a bomb. C-Sec has an office near by, can use that, no?"

Sur'Kesh,
STG Hangar

As the Turian ship landed, the Dalatrass was called, and quickly made her way to the hangar along with some STG commandos from the HQ, arriving roughly 20 minutes later. "This was a bit unexpected, I must say, I thought you weren't arriving for several hours yet. No matter," as the Dalatrass gets handed the pad with the voice message encoded onto it:

"Interesting, we shall of course be glad to have the Blackwatch serve with the STG. Welcome to Sur'Kesh. Since the Tantalus Drive is already here, we shall use this hangar for construction of the new frigate once it is unloaded. We would normally have to wait until the next month to receive our funding and begin construction, however, the STG confiscated and sold some recent "assets" that came under our jurisdiction, and we can begin construction immediately. The frigate shall belong to a new class code-named Phantom, and we appreciate the assistance of the Turian Hierarchy in this new endeavour. If you would follow me, we renovated a nearby hangar into additional quarters, to allow you to better oversee our construction of the Phantom."

Additional Expense:
1 Phantom frigate (stealth systems enhanced with a Tantalus Core, Enhanced Sensors) 20 mCr (10 + 100%)

The admirals stared at Matriarch Seri in silence.
"You, offer an alliance?" asked Admiral Raan.
It was alot to take in, an outsider asking for help. Admiral Koris stared dumbfoundedly, unsure whether to accept the offer of help for stay to his beliefs about finding another homeworld. Han meanwhile, wondered if his dreams of attacking the Geth were coming true. Admiral Xen immediately asked the Asari, "I would like to show you some of my research on the Geth. Maybe your people can help us with this."
"I would as well." replied Admiral Rael'Zorah.

The room was thick with smoke.

Weed smoke.

Somewhere in the background, a speaker played badly conceived thrash metal. Only by listening closely could one tell that it was in an ancient Asari religious language from an obscure backwater district that nobody had spoken outside of archaeology department for forty thousand years. The band, incidentally, was made up of former archaeology students. They called themselves the “Gold Diggers” and their lead single, “Benezia Did Nothing Wrong (And Was A Fucking Babe Doing It)” was completely known outside the crapsack empire called the GUFT. The band itself was last seen stoned out of its mind and attempting to “commune with the Yahg ancestor spirits” through a mixture of ritual fornication and animal sacrifice. The population commended their edginess and wished them luck.

On with the story..

The weed smoky room was jam-packed with bored stoned Asari sporting an embarrassingly dirty ensemble of deliberately ripped clothing, political t-shirts with everyone from Che Guevera to Saren Arterius represented, and cheap sunglasses. Anything else was considered bourgeois. The fact that all of this was paid for via trust funds was quietly ignored. The room itself was a dance club until about an hour ago, at which point it briefly became a Nihilist art gallery (the installation was a wannabe bomb-thrower whose handmade grenade went off five seconds early) and then a political rally point for the edgiest of all the sordid social scum that encrusted the cursed world of Eingana.

The mood in the room was vaguely dangerous. The ganja in the air, instead of mellowing the crowd, merely made it more restive. The bits of Nihilist art splattered across the walls didn’t help calm anyone down.

Muttering peaked as a series of unusually stylish individuals entered the room. They all wore black leather jackets (the leather rumored to be cured Volus hide) and shades, showing them to be members of the Existentialist League, one of the most respected pseudo-philosophical debating factions in the entire GUFT.

The Existentialist league began loudly pondering their own existences, quoting Hamlet, and concluding that all we are is dust in the wind. After a moment of quiet observation and profound contemplation, everyone else stopped caring.

Next in were the Hedonist-Militants, dressed entirely in a strange mixture of camo and glam. They were widely known for their disdain for both the confines of conventional ethics that emphasized anything but the pleasure principle and people that couldn’t bench press five hundred and break a Krogan’s neck with simple biotics. Their essential message was that anything that got in the way of a really goddamn good party should be shot. That was generally seen as a good thing. Unfortunately for their ideology, they were deemed to be far too “goddamn preppy” for most and were entirely disregarded in the edgy mainstream. In many ways, they were edgy because counterculture was widely accepted.

It was just odd.

After them came the Reggae Ninja Clan, which put on really inventive Bob Marley tributes on a regular basis. Unfortunately, as ninjas they were too stealthy and as such nobody ever saw their concerts.

This process continued until the entire room was overstuffed with a vast range of people, most armed, screaming at each other about completely pointless but hilariously overhyped social issues that the average galactic citizen could not give two shits about but which were apparently of profound importance.

Just as it looked like someone was going to repeat the Nihilist art on a larger scale, the saviours entered. The six members of the original Nestor Mahnko Memorial Society, founders of the GUFT and Great Curators of the Donation Box, entered the room. The vast array of societies, ranging from the Punk Rockers Burn Fascist Pigs Militia to the Obscure Board Games Association (quite popular) all got together and shut up for once. The Mahnkovites took a moment, hopped on stage, and began to loudly abuse guitars that seemed to spontaneously generated from the air. As the crowd cheered, they commenced in the singing of a punk rock anthem, as transcribed below.

“AAAAHHHHHHRRRRRR

We just ain’t edgy anymore
Done all that stuuuuff
Misspeled all our leerics
Even language is anarchyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

We've fucked up pirates
We've pirated some fucked up people
Tryed all the haaaaaard drugs
And did sinful things above this site's PG-13 rating
Got noooothing nnnneeewwww left to DOOOOOOOOO.....

FREEDOM OR DEAAATH

Can’t break free from what we’re stuuuc kwith,
This single shitty planet
Gotta get off it, gotta be edgy other places
Cuz the lamestream can’t be beat here alone.....

NEW GALACTIC ORDER! NEW GALACTIC ORDER! ILLUMINATE PROLETARIAT CONSCIOUSNESS!

AAAHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRR

SKIN FASCIST VOLUS PIGS
ROAST THEM ALL
LET’S GO
OI OI OI OI OI OI OI OI OI
EEEEENNNNDDDDD CIVILIZZATION!!!!

AAAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRRRRRR”

The abuse of common decency and musical sense continued for some time. By the end, the listeners were convinced. Unless they skinned a Volus immediately, everyone was fucked and the unified movement to end unification and conformity would die.

It was decided. The GUFT would strike.

Because someone had told them to go kill Volus, they decided to ignore that. Instead, they lynched the Illusive Man in effigy for bad fashion sense and resolved to wipe out Cerberus before the end of the millenium because someone insinuated they wanted to impose dress codes in schools.

Somehow.

After that resolution, everyone took a solemn moment to send taunting notes to their parents talking about how they had freedom and were defying society (and by the way, can you bum me 5k credits for the rent, Mom?) by joining a different one and conforming to it.

All in all, pretty solid day.

"I would be happy to offer what aid the Asari happen to be able to give." Seri says bowing politely. "As a side note this stays between us, as far as the galaxy is concerned this meeting never happened." She follows Admirals Zorah and Xen. "Currently most of the military research facilities are under redevelopment but by next month I should be able to put any information to practical use but I am eager to see what we have to work with. Any weapon that can be used against the Geth will be okay in my books." Her mind wander back to her old battles, the smell of blood and smoke filling her nostrils but she shakes her head and moves onward. "Once the Geth are destroyed the Asari will be safe and then the nightmares will stop." She thinks.

Prothean Dig site-Ilos

"Get these materials packed up for the next shipment to the University of Serrice. Matriarch Tyla was very interested in their contents." The young Asari leading the dig tells the people working under her.

"Yes ma'am."

"Any success with the translation of those Prothean notes?"

"Yes ma'am. But really nothing beyond what is already widely known. Mostly about eezo and its properties."

"Any piece of information left behind by the Protheans is valuable and should be preserved. Be careful with it."

"Yes ma'am."

"Ma'am a message from Asari High Command."

"High Command?" She wonders. "What could it be?" She takes the message pad from the worker.

To Benezia's daughter Dr. Liara T'soni,
It has been much too long since I last wrote to you thus I would like to amend that. I invite you to my office next month to meet and discuss things. I have a few questions and it would be good to catch up on old times.
-Matriarch Seri

"Auntie Seri?" Liara wonders almost sounding like a child. "I haven't spoken to her in more than 30 years. Too busy with ruins." She pockets the pad. "I will be leaving in about a month in order to meet n old friend. I expect the work will continue on schedule." She then thinks. "The Council has ignored us. Hopefully Seri does not."

Office of the Dalatrass,
Sur'Kesh

'Dalatrass, we've received a communication from a Mordin Solus. Member of an STG SpecOps team, attached to the Citadel. He reports that the Geth freighter they've intercepted contained a platform that requests a meeting with the Council. It hasn't declared what it wishes to discuss, however Mordin has a plan: Have it use a communication device in a C-Sec office, under armed guard, and contained within a shield. Maximum security for the platform, maximum security for the Council. Do you wish for me to bring this up to Valern?" asked High Commander Gubame.

"If all the precautions are taken, then yes, send the request to Valern, and have him push it up to the main Council body," stated Dalatrass Relbana. "This could be good, but we definitely need to keep our guard up in the meantime. Have Valern report back to me once he hears out the Platform."

Office of Councillor Valern,
Citadel

"Councillor Valern, message from the Dalatrass. The Geth platform captured by our STG operatives requests a meeting with the Council, albeit with several security conditions, outlined in this pad. The Dalatrass has asked you to go ahead with the meeting, and to bring it up before the Council." stated Valern's personal secretary.
"Alright, get me the other Councillors on the line, and plan this." stated Valern.

Looking around Admiral Zorah muttered to Matriarch Seri, "The details of my research may trouble other Quarians if they here of this, Xen will be on my side, let us talk on the Alarei."
Calling for a shuttle and traveling to the Alarei, Xen and Seri followed Rael.
"My research involves hacking the neural network of the Geth. Such research is highly precarious, especially here, and we made some breakthroughs." Rael spoke freely.
Xen seemed to be impressed.
"What we discovered, is that the Geth has an adaptive consciousness, hack into one, and the others correct themselves. We could have a viable system in a year, but with your scientists' help, we could shorten that time considerably."

This stuns her. "With this... we may just be able to defeat the Geth without firing a single shot." On the inside she trembles with anticipation. "The Geth will be powerless to stop us. Even if the Geth manage to isolate and contain it by the time they figure this out they will have been thrown into chaos." She pauses in thought. "But how do we introduce it to the Geth. Obviously we need some form of input source." She keeps thinking. "Maybe if we find a Geth server node we can introduce it there, but we have only one shot at this. If it goes wrong they will adapt to it and this will mean nothing. But what to introduce? Something that disabled friend-foe recognition? Something that makes them think they are in a simulation and the other Geth are the enemies? A suicide protocol? A master kill switch? Or maybe..." The idea suddenly dawns on her. "Destroys their intellect making them mindless machines that recognize the Quarians as their master?"

STGHQ,
Sur'Kesh

As the Dalatrass is running through a standard briefing in the STGHQ underneath Sur'Kesh, a call comes in from Councillor Valern. "Dalatrass, exciting day in the Council chamber today.." Valern then goes on to explain the situation that developed. "That is definitely regrettable, however, it did end the best possible way that the circumstances could've dictated. This mission sounds like the perfect maiden voyage for the Phantom, once it's completed. A decent portion is completed, however, it still will be some time before it is operational. Once the platform gives you the coordinates, transmit them to me, and I'll make sure the Phantom is supplied as best as possible to aid in the mission. Thank you for your report, Councillor."

"My pleasure, Dalatrass." states Councillor Valern before cutting the connection.

Palaven
Primarch Victus

Nyree fumbled with a glass of brandy on his desk, it was his off hours so he was free to drink. The day had been long and drab. A storm brewed outside so the sun was understandably blocked out. Nyree liked the sun, latter he received call from councilor Sparatus, he explained the situation to the letter. Nyree frowned and stood, hands pressed on his desk as he barked into the computer. "Councilor, Pack your things and be on Palaven by tomorrow! You are no longer the councilor on behalf of the turian hierarchy! Make a public statement and get out, you have dishonored the hierarchy with your actions and this is unacceptable." Before the councilor could defend himself the primarch switched off his feed.

Latter that day Sparatus made an announcement of his resignation. He would be replaced by the new councilor Quentius.
We'll Bang, OK?

"No answer." She says hanging up the line to Thessia to Seri's office. "Strange." She tries contacting someone else.

"Asari Second Fleet, Admiral Ola reporting." A officer says appearing.

"Admiral. A pleasure to see you again. I have been trying to contact Matriarch Seri. Do you know where she is?"

"The Commander in Chief?" She closes her eyes trying to remember. "Ah yes. She sent a notice around High Command that stated she will be busy indefinitely, probably no more than a couple days, while she attends to more personal business. She is still in communication with High Command, do you want me to pass her along a message?"

"Please do." She lays out what happened in the Council room and the Admiral records it.

"You know she is going to go ballistic when she hears this right?" The Admiral says as she forwards it.

"Yes I do."

Perseus Veil
Rannoch

Two Armored divisions with 4 Infantry divisions were supported by 2 Artillery division were assaulting a hill defended by 10 Infantry divisions.
The Colossuses were paving the way through the first line of defenses while the Artillery bombarded the second and third line of defenses.
While the Geth infantry followed up the Colossuses with fast hitting small unit tactics, the Geth infantry look through their comrade’s eyes.
They cover every corner all at once. While the Colossuses are firing against Enemy strongpoints.
The Geth infantry engages the enemy troops and the supporting Artillery switches to smoke this would have no effect on the Geth Defending the hill.
But to simulate organics the geth troops on the hill do not use Thermal imaging.
Without support from the second defense line the defenders are forced to retreat to the second defensive line to regroup.
The attacking geth pursue the attack the Colossuses redeploy for new firing positions to support the Infantry's advance
With another two hours of fighting the Geth attackers finally break the final enemy resistance.
With 248.000 casualties on the defending side and 60.000 casualties on the attackers side.

Fortunately this was only combat test to see Geth units in the field.

Tuchanka: Urdnot Capital

Dak'ir was sitting upon upon his command throne and had just finished listening to a Clan Ravanor representative try and talk him to death about the need to expand Krogan industry and mining off Tuchanka, as well as the need for ships to transport the goods and protection needed for the facilities.

Those Ravanor.... always going on about their freaking mining and industry and their money money money! Hell if I didn't know any better you'd think they were freaking Volus... but they do have a point, things are getting crowded around here in terms of industry, and Tuchanka's air is shitty enough without having a factory shitting it's pollution in my face....

Urdnot Dak'ir turned towards a nearby aid and said, "Gather construction parties and place work orders in for the construction of a shipyard... And though I hate to do it, send this message to the Citadel Council."

As he started to right up a message, the aid he had talked to earlier growled out, "Why the hell should we have to ask permission from those pansies?"

Dak'ir immediately stopped typing the message, slowly stood up, and headbutted the uppity little shit into the dirt. As he helped the Krogan back up he explained, "because if we just start building shipyards all over the place those idiots on the council will shit their pants thinking we're building dreadnoughts, and we don't need to give them an excuse to make us completely sterile, understand?"

The Krogan nodded sullenly but didn't say anything else, and Dak'ir got back to the message.

Code: Select all
To: The Citadel Council
From: Urdnot Dak'ir

Just as a heads up so you don't get your mandibles in a knot, math equations backwards, and very nice looking cartilage hair in a bunch.

Clan Urdnot and it's allies are planning on building a Shipyard in order to construct transports to move raw materials, and security, between Tuchanka and other planets within the DMZ that we plan on building infrastructure on. So if you would be so kind as not to blow our transports out of the sky we would greatly appreciate it.

Ever yours, Urdnot Dak'ir

Events on Tuchanka
In the month or so since the Krush, Clan Urdnot seemed to have turned into the defacto leader of the Krogan Alliance, and head negotiator in the Treaties. The Treaties were agreements between the allied clans that involved things such as non-aggression pacts, trading, and aid when an allied clan was threatened; fortunately they hadn't had to fight any other clans since Operation Weyrloc had ended. In fact, negotiations were taking place that would allow for Clan Weyrloc to remain an independent clan and be part of the Treaties pact. Now, Dak'ir usually would have just absorbed the the remnants of Weyrloc, but Clan Urdnot's shaman had convinced him that preserving a unique and very old/respected clan would garner more support then just outright destroying; and of course the Shaman was right.

A message is sent to the Citadel Council, written by the Supreme Leader himself.

Code: Select all
Councilors of the Citadel,

It has come to my attention that several factions within the Hegemony, formerly powerful figures who led the great Hegemony in to decadence are responsible for several cases of misconduct.  These individuals have thus been dealt with within the boundaries of batarian law.  And with their punishments, I personally beseech the council to consider the Hegemony's return to a member state.

"Easily done." Matriarch Seri replies. "I can promise we will begin the research next month. By then our facilities will be able to handle this data and process it effectively to increase speed." When she closes her eyes the smell of blood and smoke fills her nostrils. "With this tech... it will finally be over." She says. "I must get back to Asari Space soon. There is so much to do. I promise I will stay in touch." She says this as she heads back to her ship. "I must win this for the sake of protecting the Asari." She tells herself. "If we can destroy the Geth then Asari Space will be safe for now, until a new threat arrives." She looks out into space from the window on the ship. "I have waited 300 years for this. A little longer is nothing compared to what the gain will be. But the question is what shall we go with? Enslavement or destruction? Both reach the same conclusion but take different paths." She sighs. "The Quarians have lost so much... I will NOT allow the Asari to become like them. Thessia will remain in the hands of the Asari to the bitter end."

Colonial Eden Valley News Report
CEVNR

Violence broke out today as Viceroy Labin Douderi tried to claim the already settled area of the Elder Heights in Elcor Territory. The Elcor responded by embargoing them, refusing to give the Asari farm goods. The Asari responded with a call to local militia that sparked the Elcor to do the same. Both sided seem hell bent to keep the fragile peace of the colony but tensions are slowly staring to rise as this heavily populated Elcor land is being threaten by Asari Expansion The two local governments will be meeting to find a compromise that would satisfy both sides with Elder Galsumm also attending to discuss a new bill with Viceroy Labin that would increase the military funding do to the increasing hostilities that are ravaging the galaxy. Both the Holy Guards and Republican Guards are high alert status even so far as requesting the Asari Republic to send a flotilla as protection until the colonial force was large enough to defend itself.

In other news Eden Valley has recently started a new economic pact called The Eden's Trade Compact. The wealthy Elcor Planters are seeking out trade partners though council space that will take in a huge array of agricultural goods, from fine wine to fish grown in the lush lakes of Eden Valley.

The great Krerdok Warlord sat at the bar with his war hammer strapped to his back and shot cup in his hand. The Kroagn had gone to the citadel to look for some Kroagn recruits who might be good stock for clan Krerdok and acquire intel on council happenings. Well he ended up at this bat drinking away the sweat nectar he rarely ever got back on Capek. He slammed some credits on the bar"ANOTHER!"he snorted loudly and whooped his head with a half snarl as he waited for the Salarain bartender to fill his cup before quickly devouring it.

Citadel-Councilor Tevos' office

"A message Councilor." Her secretary tells her handing the message to her.

Tevos decides not to even bother to brign this to the Council's attention and writes a reply personally.

Code: Select all
To the Batarian Leader
There here is nothing really preventing you from returning to the Citadel, you just need to be willing to accept all Citadel Treaties, and the fact humans are on the Council, become a Citadel Client Race again, and the Batarians must be willing to make an effort to stop the terrorist attacks by "the few Batarian patriots". Also the Batarians must be willing to make an effort to stop Slavery in the Hegemony in order to eventually improve the Batarian economy with a non slave based population. After those steps the Council will be willing to discuss lifting the sanctions imposed on you.

Space-Matriarch Seri's Ship

"What the what now?!" She screams at Admiral Ola.

"There is no need for hysterics ma'am. You heard right."

"Tevos allowed a GETH on the Citadel?!" She yells with her crew properly outraged. "I am going to skin that traitor alive!"

"The Geth was sent away ma'am." That calms her down a little.

"Good, good." Seri says taking several deep breaths calming herself down. "This is just the latest infraction carried out by Tevos. She will need to be removed from office someday, even if I have to do it myself."

"Understood ma'am. Best of luck to you in your work." Admiral Ola says hanging up.

"And same to you Admiral, same to you." She turns her face to the window looking out.

Shortly after a message from Asari High Command is sent to a couple commandos on the Citadel.

Code: Select all
Operation Balance is a go. Protocol 13.

Lieutenant Victus
1st marines
Citadel, Zekarah Ward
LIBO

The maines had defiantly dodged a bullet and she was sure they would be reprimanded for something, either for not following orders or for following orders. The stress was unbearable, he request for Liberty Leave had been granted by her Commanding Officer, and so they found there way to the nearest bar. Drinking away Siria had gotten nearly 7 drinks down by the time she turned around and noticed an ugly brute. A krogan. One of the sergeants on LIBO with her began to heckle the krogan, the only audible words were the turian sergeant shouting, "Hey Space Turtle, wanna hear a joke? What did the baby krogan say to the other baby krogan?" a moment passed and all the Marines started to laughed as they had heard this one before, the sergeant continued. "Nothing, they are both still births!" Nearly every marine in the bar began to laugh violently." Siria didn't laugh, she may had been drunk but she saw the krogans face and knew what was about to happen. So she sat and waited, ready.
