Heshtok

If anyone would to describe the Vorcha Homeworld or the Vorcha themselves, they will say that they were living in hell and they were demons and savages. For the first time after the destruction of their homeworld by their constant fighting and eating of resources they have united under a visionary named Marwl. For 34 years, Marwl had to become the strongest of his race in order to unite them, defeat was not an option for if he falls than so does everything else. Marwl watched from his palace to see the large capital grow with more Vorcha each day now that they don't fight each other. The volcanic barren world now is having more cities instead of tents and tribal camps. Marwl still can't let his guard down despite the progress his people have came up in over four years, mostly thanks to their short-lives.

Even still, he allowed about four other clan leaders of the rival clans on the planet to live as his advisers. They were implemented right after the Vorcha achieved another impossible feet, spaceflight. Once they did and had secured enough money from the growing clans to buy the Asari mining companies off from Parsac and they have started to have a political change in the Abyssal as most of the colonies were of Volus and Turian origin. Eyes were starting to shift towards the Vorcha as they are starting to party and have gladiator fights. Marwl was eating at a feast as they finally have the money to buy off-world foodstuffs and have brought in bionic varren. Though he knew that his job was far from over.

One of the Clan Leaders was sitting near Marwl asked him a question while he was watching the GNC about the recent news that was going in Council Space and how to make more advancements for their people. " Marwl, I think you should not be harsh on Blood Pack. Blood Pack good for Vorcha, have given Vorcha jobs." Marwl growled at him," No! Blood Pack no longer needed. Blood Pack bad! Treat Vorcha like fodder. Now, I say this once. Blood Pack illegal in Clan Space and they will be destroyed like pirates." This got the clan leader enraged but Marwl punched him through his seat and roared at him," I am leader! You will live because you are useful! Now leave me!" He ran with his bodyguards as Marwl calm down for he made his peace since his word was law among his race.

The Clans knew that it was a bad idea to go against the strongest of their kind and Marwl was only thinking of their kind and what is best. They are a new face in the galaxy and Marwl would have to do things that many Vorcha would never do, like as for a loan. The galaxy still thinks the Vorcha to be vermin and general pest even though they have became spacefaring in only four years but they have a long way to go. The Vorcha in general have a great distrust for the Council but he spoke nevertheless.

" We need more money. Ask Humans for loan to start our expansion. If not, we only grow slow. Humans only trustworthy to me. That is all." These were among the very first things that were changing among the Vorcha. Many of the new needs to running a new nation. He got one of the new clans that came from the planet Parsac to write the letter as they are the only ones that were not from the warrior clans and were taught some form of civility by the Asari mining corporations before Marwl bought the planet from them and use it for the Clan.

To:Amul Shastri

Hello Human. I am Sivill. Adviser to Marwl. Clan Leader of Heshtok and all of Vorcha. I come on his behalf to ask for loan. We are a newly united political faction. We have no friends. We don't trust Council but you. We will pay back your loan. We use to make Vorcha into spacefaring species.

It was crude but that is the way of Vorcha. The Vorcha have been showing uncommon focus towards building their economy, it was strange in the eyes of the galaxy to see how the Vorcha will grow. It made Marwl very upset that he had to set aside his gun for this, but he knew that he was the only Vorcha in the galaxy to do the job and if he was to die then the Vorcha become fractured again. On the economic side of things, he had set Heshtok to be more of a industrial planet and Parsac as a mining world to feed the Vorcha homeworld and its growing shipbuilding industry.

Primarch Fedorian
Palaven

The Primarch sat upright in his chair, the air vents pushed cool air into his room, with a slight mechanical hum as he typed away on his omni tool. The week had been stressful and the Primarch had been a very busy man in the last week. Build orders and ridiculous requisition orders from colony's. Angry politicians, his own generals were beginning to resent him. He could feel it, and on top of it all the Citadel was still counting dead turians. Day after day the streets were filled with honor guard services to the fallen men and women of the battle of the citadel. Fedorian knew much had to be fixxed, and he knew how to do it. The Primarch began typing in commands to his secretary and brought her up on screen. The young woman wore traditional and respectible neutral colored garb and a bright red face paint.

With a kind yet professional tone in voice she spoke, "Yes Honorable Pimarch, what is it that you require?" her eyes coming up from her work and locking with the Primarch.

"Varlilsis, I need you to send in General Nyree Victus right away, and cancel all my appointments for the day. There are some things that I must attend to with the general." he said, never lifting his eyes from his data pad to meet her.

Varlilsis looked up and back down, "Actually Primarch, General Victus is already here, he just walked in the door."

Fedorian looked up to see his sectary. "Send him in right away please." he said as he switch off the feed before she had a chance to continue.

The Primarch could here the sound of doors opening outside his office and the sound of soldiers exchanging salutes.

Fedorian continued to read away data reports on building requests as the doors popped open with a hiss. General Nyree Victus stepped in the room, Victus was rather tall for an average turian and looked even taller in his bright red uniform. Ribbons and Badges displayed proudly upon his chest as he walked to the desk of the Primarch he expertly stopped three paces from the desk and gave a crisp salute. Fedorian stood straight and returned the generals salute. The generals eyes were a crisp black crystal like hue, he had purpose. The general was from a farming settlement on Triganta Petra, this showed by the three worn down sky blue vertical stripes on his mandibles and chin. Taking a breath the primarch took a seat and sat his data pads aside.

"General, I asume you know why you haave been called to the capital to speak to me?'

Nyree responded in his raspy voice with a quick and trained, "No sir."

"Well I will fill you in then. General we are on the edge of dark days, and I can not offer much evidence but i can feel it. The hierarchy needs strong leaders in these times. The hierarchy needs a face to look to and be proud again. General, I am sure you have heard of talk amoungst the men on many posts here on Palaven. They say I am unfit and I do not belong in my station."

Nyree lifted his chin,"Sir do you want these soldiers flogged?"

Fadorian laughed. "NO GENERAL, I was going to say that they are right!"

This caught Nyree by surprise, but never the less he did not flinch only one word came from his mouth, "Sir?"

"That is right general. The men are right. We were attacked at the citadel and lost many men, the humans gained a council seat and we are losing pull in the council just because of that. As well, we are losing the respect of the galactic community."

Nyree interjected, "Sir none of that is your fault, I am sure if you were at the battle things would have been different. "

"General there is no need. I see that our people will forever associate my face with this chain failure. I can not serve with this on my mind so that is why I am removing myself. General, I talked to the fleet and your co-rankers. It has been a unanimous decision by all that you will become the next Pimarch."

Nyree stood straighter than ever, "It is an honor sir. I will serve the Hierarchy till my dying breath."

Fadorian looked the general in the eyes, "Die for the cause."

CNN
Citidel News Network

Ground breaking new from the Turian Hierarchy today as the six year Primarch Fadorian has stepped down from office. Sure this is cause of the embarrassment of the recent attack on the citadel.
The Primarch has issued a speech which will be available for viewing after this. The Hierarchy has also in this short period unanimously chosen a NEW Primarch. A former Turian Marine General by the name of Nyree Victus. Now he is also stated to be holding a conference soon but the date has still yet to be determined. Now we do not know a lot about the general at this time, but we doknow that he is the same man who designed several raids on pirate strong holds in the Attican Traverse and conducted operations to rescue 16 Turian citizens as well, 2 Humans and a 3 Salarians. For on developments stay connected to Citadel New Network to find out.

Nyree walked down the halls of the capital building and his new office. The place was buzzing with activity and Nyree had not been accustom to the sort of media attention he was getting. Not all of the attention was good. Som were saying that he was no better than Fadorian. Regardless Nyree was to busy now to pay attention to these things. Holding in his hand Nyree viewed construction and requisition reports of nearly every colony.

The Geth Consensus

“Attention all Units Consensus has been called prepare your arguments and Opinions for Review in 002 Rannoch Minutes.

Result: In Favor
“The Vote has been cast and the necessary Resources have been relocated”

The vote the Geth people had voted on was if they would or would not expand the Annual Population Growth in the wake of the Heretics.
The Geth Population Growth had been Decreased severely when the Heretics left and Geth work better in large numbers the sudden loss of several percent of the population put a serious hamper on the Geth Productivity and as a remedy the Geth decided that if it would ever happen again they would at least not be crippled and vulnerable and so the Population Growth was increased tenfold to not only make up for the lost population but increase it further
But this was new Territory for the geth they did not have enough data to go on and unforeseen problems Soon Arised from the increased population, they had counted on that with more Population equaled more data and that meant more Mainframes to store all the new geth,
But there was a slight problem Rannoch was full with Mainframes and other essential buildings. The Space above Rannoch was also getting crowded by freighters carrying Resources all over the Perseus Veil.
The Geth only had one option and that was to expand across Perseus Veil and the Far Rim, worlds that had previously been mining colonies soon found themselves buzzing with new activity. Giant Diggers Moved Mountains followed closely by massive bulldozers flattening the area for the Cement Units and on and on the process continued until large swaths of previously dried out mines and wasteland was filled with Geth sky rises filled with Hardware several billion terabytes of data flowed through space until the servers were buzzing with activity. The cold planets devoid of atmospheres proved to be excellent coolers for the hard drives.
Soon these worlds would be the heartland of the Geth Consensus.
For the Geth did not plan on staying behind the Veil for long...

Heshtok

Marwl was sitting on his throne daydreaming. His people needed to be united by him. However, he knew that it would be a long way. So he came to reverse his decision about the Blood Pack. He called the Clan leader he punched last week and spoke. " You, I have changed my mind. Heshtok Clan will work with Blood Pack. However, they will pay for Vorcha. If they kidnap like they use to. I will kill them. You understand? Good."

Marwl walked out and started to write a message to the Blood Pack CEO and tell them how the things will go.

To: Ganar Yulaz
From: Marwl

Remember me Krogan? I remember you. Now I am Clan Leader of Heshtok. I now make new rules for Blood Pack. Clan does business with Blood Pack. In exchange for guns and ships. I give recruits, but you train them right. You give them good pay. If you kidnap them like you use to. I will hunt you down and naw on your head plate. Do we have deal?

With that in told. The Vorcha need leadership across the galaxy and it was time to make it known. He loaded four infantry division of flamethrowers on the two unmarked light transports and send them to the Mass Relay to make sure their people have made it known that they are here.

CRONOS STATION, UNDISCLOSED SYSTEM

In Cronos Station, the Headquarters of the pro-human organization known as Cerberus, there is much hard work being put foreword to keep the best interests of Humanity alive. Fighters ensure that the solar system is guarded, but finding the Station is next to impossible. Inside the station, Cerberus Scientists and Troops go about their daily jobs, whether it be repairing and upgrading ships, working in the labs or training. The bright star, blue and red, orange and yellow, is truly a sight to behold for these men and women, who gave up everything to work for a "terrorist" group, putting themselves on the line for something greater than themselves: for Humanity. Cerberus is a major enemy of the Galactic Community, and there is a silence, a bitterness within it's ranks as members come to realize just how short the reign of the Alliance is coming. Mankind will fall under the rule of the Asari or the Batarians, and Cerberus knows that. When the time does come, Cerberus must be there to give back the freedom and independence of Humanity.

Illusive Man's Chambers...

The Illusive Man, founder and supreme leader of Cerberus, sits in his chair, a cigarette placed in his mouth, staring out at the massive, beautiful sun before him. As always, he has the calm expression, one of a man who is truly relaxed, though he is probably the most stressed man in all of Humanity. Standing at his side, one of his best friends, Michael Maxon. Michael and the Illusive Man have only been working together for a few years, but Michael's contribution to the noble cause of Cerberus has shot him up the ranks as one of the most respected and successful commanders and agents out there. Michael had been waiting to talk to the Illusive Man for a few days, knowing that it was certainly about the situation with the Asari and Batarians. Though, gazing in awe at the beauty and vastness of space and the sun before them, all the problems of the Galaxy seemed to be insignificant, especially with the greater threat of the Reapers and the Collectors looming, with no actions given by the Systems Alliance or any other Citadel Race. Though, things like that are why Cerberus exists. The ignorance of the Alliance, the aggressiveness of the Asari and of the rest of the Citadel Council, they all threaten Humanity. Without Cerberus, Humanity is doomed. Michael nearly jumped when the Illusive Man spoke...

"The tides are turning, my friend... the political landscape of the Galaxy is rapidly changing, reforming, and it has been the task of Cerberus to keep up"

Michael nodded, agreeing. "They're always changing, sir. The only thing that isn't is the Alliance"

"Yes of course, but I haven't called you here to talk about the Alliance. I have a much more... important topic: the Collectors."

"What about them?" asked Michael.

"More what they've done. We both know that they've been terrorizing and in many cases, destroying entire Human Colonies in the Terminus...". The Illusive Man handed Michael a computer tablet with information of a person on it. "Commander Shepard. His ship, the Normandy, disappeared over Alchera. I have good reason to believe the Collectors were behind it. I want you to go to the ruins and collect Shepard's body. We need him alive"

Michael nodded. "It'll get done"

The Presidium, the Citadel

As the common bustling activities of the Presidium occur, Cerberus Agents within the Citadel, men who've worked in C-Sec, initiate Phase One of a Propaganda Campaign to expose the Alliance for it's ignorance. The Agents hack into C-Sec using false identities, then release an VI which erased them from the camera footage. Afterwords, almost all TVs and Terminals on the Presidium would flash with this picture.

Tuchanka: Sacred Grounds

Urdnot Dak'ir paced back and forth in an antechamber, anxious and awaiting the signal that would indicate that everything was in place. Today was the day that he wold reveal his plans for both the Clan and the Krogan race as a whole, and if everything went the way he had planned he just might just survive the day. The Clan Urdnot Shaman was also in the room, watching the new leader of Urdnot pace about the room like a Vorcha on red sand, he decided it was best to offer some sage advice.

"Clan leader... Calm the F*** down, if you go out all worked up like you are now we'll have a blood bath on our hands."

Dak'ir stopped and growled, but knew that what the Shaman said was true, things were already tense enough out there with several representatives from different clans standing around ready to tear each others throats out at the slightest provocation. The only thing that was stopping them was that they were within the confines of the Sacred Grounds, but that hadn't stopped there from being blood spilled before. So Dak'ir took a deep breath, and let it out, leaving him all nice and loose... right before smashing a nearby table into smithereens. The Shaman merely rolled his eyes at this and didn't say anything else.

"Haha! Now that felt good to let off some steam, should make it less likely now that I'll blow that idiot Weyrloc Gulds head off... they came to the krush right?" Dak'ir asked, and the Shaman nodded in answer.

"Good, very good..." but before he could say anything else a message was sent to his omni-tool from one of his men that everything was ready.

"Well Shaman, it's time to make history... You think we got a chance at this?" the Urdnot leader asked,

The Shaman merely shrugged and said, "You will either unite the Krogan and lead us to salvation.. Or you'll get Clan Urdnot exterminated and we'll be a mere blood stain in the history of the Galaxy".

Dak'ir just smiled at that, opened the door, and walked out into the Krush. He immediately saw that most of the clans he had invited had shown up, as the place was near filled to overflowing, which he guessed was a good sign, maybe; the noise also lessened considerably at his arrival. Dak'ir walked down the pathway towards a raised dais from which he would address the crowd, and on the way there spotted Chief Weyrloc Guld standing in the middle of a group of his warriors, giving Dak'ir the evil eye. He just ignored Guld though and mounted the platform, looking out over the mob. Raising his hands for silence, Dak'ir took a deep breath and began his address.

"Brothers and Sisters! I am Urdnot Dak'ir, leader of Clan Urdnot and the one that called this Krush so that I may bring before you all a plan.. A plan to save the Krogan race" Dak'ir paused as murmurs and growls of suspicion started up , but he quickly spoke over them.

"Now before you all get uppity and I have to headbutt you all hear me out... Good... We all know the reasons why we are here, the Genophage, it has been the very root of our races decline and will lead to our eventual extinction, but not because it controls our population growth, but because we, the Krogan, have given up... *rise in angry voices*.... SHUT IT!! For to long have we laid down and excepted our fate, to long have we gone out into the galaxy as mercenaries and pirates to die for nothing more then because we have given up and a pretty credit or two can get you a lap dance at Afterlife.. *a few knowing chuckles*... We are a the punchline in a bad and ironic joke by the rest of the galaxy, punished because of the mistakes of those who raised us up into the stars to protect them from the Rachni, the other races view us as nothing more then war mongering barbarian scum, and you know what, they're right, we are.... *Dak'ir pauses*... But do you know what I see? I see the potential for change, the ability to change the path that fate has set us on from one of extinction to one of a new dawn for the Krogan, to build up the great ziggurat's of ages past, and cure the Genophage that makes us into the beasts the rest of the galaxy wishes to see us as...*Some murmurs of reserved agreement*... But in order to do this we must change our ways, we can no longer be a bunch of feuding clans killing each other for scraps, we can no longer send our males off to fight and die for nothing more then wasted fame and credits, the clans must be..." Dak'ir was interrupted mid flow by a voice in the crowd, a voice he hated with a pashion.

"And next you'll tell us that Varren will sprout wings and that Vorcha will start picking flowers for each other, you're so full of Turian shit it's leaking out of you ear nubs! Change? I call it stupidity, why should we change our age old traditions because some young hot head was able to gain control of Clan Urdnot and now thinks he can "save" the Krogan from themselves, you're nothing but an uppity Pyjak".

Silence reigned throughout the grounds at Weyrloc Gulds words, many bracing themselves for the coming massacre. On the inside Dak'ir was a raging maelstrom of rage, only just able to contain himself from going over and killing the old fool himself, instead he said,

"And that my Brothers and Sisters, is why we are a dying breed, because those like Weyrloc Guld here are to stupid to see that just killing and fucking their way through the galaxy is no longer working, and it never did, though I will admit that it may have been fun, hehe, but in reality Guld, you are nothing more then an old fossil standing in the way of our races salvation", Dak'ir said with a challenging stare.

Guld laughed and said, "Meet me when your not hiding behind the protection of our sacred laws whelp, and we'll see how mouthy you are then, and as for this whole plan to unite the clans and "save" the Krogan, you can count out Clan Weyrloc, and the rest of you should leave this farce as well," and with that said, Guld and his men left.

Dak'ir nervously watched the rest of the clans to see what they would do, and though some looked like they were about ready to follow Weyrloc Gulds example, none of them left. Well.. at least I've got their attention he thought.

Before he continued though, he activated a button on his omni-tool that would signal his scouts and troops to begin Operation Weyrloc. He had similar operation in place for some of the other Clans here that he thought would actively oppose his plans, just in case.

"So now that Weyrloc Dull has left our Krush, I can get back to my rousing speech... As I was saying, if the Krogan are going to have a voice in this galaxy we need to unite our clans together and stop our self destructive cycle of killing each other, we need to show the rest of the galaxy that we are not going to take their shit lying down any longer! We have suffered the Genophage for long enough! We will either stand as equals in this galaxy, or we will die trying!".

Dak'ir could feel the mood of the other Krogan in the Sacred Grounds getting more and more excited, and even those clans who didn't agree with him were getting caught up in the charged atmosphere, it was electrifying. Another reason for getting them all rowdy was that he didn't want them to hear anything coming from the surrounding area. With one final hurrah to get the crowd berserk, Dak'ir roared,

"WE ARE KROGAN!! AND WE WILL HAVE OUR FUTURE!!"

And all the Krogan around him burst out into a thunderous roar.

Highway Leading to Weyrloc Territory: At the same time

Clan Urdnot's Chief Scout watched the Weyrloc convoy leave the Sacred Grounds, and having received the go ahead a few minutes before, radioed everyone to prepare for action. They had taken out Weyrloc's scouts already and had laced the convoys path with enough IED's to warm this old Krogan's hearts. As the convoy approached the ambush site, the Chief Scout prepared the detonator on his omni-tool, and let his finger hover over the activation button, and ever so gently pushed it. The convoy was ripped to shreds in moments, with Weyrloc Guld's tomkah being thrown off the road in flames. Urdnot infantry immediately sprang from their hiding places and began to look through the wreckage for any survivors.

"Chief Scout! We have Weyrloc Guld, he's severely injured but alive, orders?" a soldier radioed in to the Chief Scout, who promptly answered back.

"We only need his head".

The Elcor Courts - Dekunna
The day was warm and dry in the Capital and the atmosphere was tense in the grand hall the elcor elders gathered as many senses that historic decision was about to being made. The Elders, had been poring over ancient records of jurisprudence to determine the precedent that should be followed in any in there current situation.

Elder Bython, High Elder of the Elcor Courts spoke "Brothers and sisters are trade ships are being attack more times this year than ever before and all we done is sat here at the Assembly, debating and arguing over ourselves."

"Then lets stop them We are self-sufficient so departing from the Galactic scene will hardly hurt us" some one shouted.
Bython sighed. "Our colonies would disagree with you we Shout face these pirates and decide our own fate. And now it is late, our vote must happen now."

"All in favor of High Elder Bython please says aye” the house speaker announced.

The there audible rumble approval from the Assembly .

The zoom of hover cars permeated the air as the Volus waddled to his destination. A crowd had gathered near the rails of the terminal. Docked there was the New Volus Dreadnought. The Volus have only produced one dreadnought, the Kwunu, named after the diplomat who negotiated their client-race status with the turians. The Kwunu is the only volus ship of its class, but it is remarkably well-armed. Its broadside cannons and main gun are all Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Weapons. A turian general touring the Kwunu after its maiden system-voyage enthusiastically declared that the ship could "char a planet three times over". While its construction was funded entirely by the Elkoss Combine corporation, the dreadnought was jointly gifted to the Vol Protectorate and Turian Hierarchy upon completion. Barla Von had met with the previous Turian Primarch, Primarch Fedorian. They had both decided that it would fetch a heafty price on the open market. The turians couldn't hold any more dreadnoughts without the other council races being able to expand there dreadnought production. The turians couldn't allow the asari or salarians and defiantly not the humans to expand there dreadnought production. And today was a marvilous day for the showing of the Kwunu. Many prominent people from all almost every race had gatherd at the auction. The Vol would be rolling in money for new projects after this sale for sure.

The auction house was almost full and the Volus waddled to his place.

"Ladys and gentlemen!" Brala Von inhaled, "Welcome to the sale of the century!"

A chatter of approval erupted from the crowd.

"So lets start at 100,000,000 credits." (100c)

A salarian shouted "120!", A Krogan Shouted "170!!!" after a rumble and several bids latter it had arrived at 350.

Khar'shan

Gherish Crob'bath growled at his admirals. They dared to speak while he stood before them? No wonder the Hegemony's rule did not extend the length and breadth of the known universe! The Council sat high and mighty, issuing laws and sanctions as if they were gods. It disgusted him, though what was worse was the complete lack of frustration displayed by his officers. They seemed happy enough to administer to what little resources they had at their disposal. Instead of locating future colonies to annex for the glory of the Batarian people, they instead looked to make do with the cold orbs that they currently held.

"Give me something!" he barked at them. What is the point? He had spent his entire life rising through the ranks, instilling strength and devotion in those under his command. Now look at him: surrounded by the weak. The humans were expanding at the expense of the Hegemony and what did his commanders do?

"We have been running the scenarios you suggested," one offered, hesitating before continuing. "They are not good."

Cowards! They did not want to face an enemy in battle? What were they, since they were not Batarians.

"I do not care if they are good! How can we expand if we do not have a force to rival the Turians?"

"There is no real possibility for the industry being able to support such focus on production."

"Not possible?"

A hand moved towards the holster strapped to his left leg. The pistol was from the Judgement line, as effective a killing machine as any firearm. From such close ranges, there would be no defense. Bang!

"Not possible?" he repeated, the pistol moving towards the next man.

"We will re-run the scenarios."

"Do it."

Migrant Fleet

Admiral Han'Gerrel vas Neema stood in front of the new recruits. Even if the Migrant Fleet managed to destroy the Geth Fleet, it would for naught if the Quarian couldn't remove the Geth on the ground. More Marine divisions would be the start for training the invasion army. The conclave voted to increase the Quarian's economic power in order to help the eventual retaking of Rannoch. Two mining ships would be built to improve the Quarian economy and the trade offer from the Volus was accepted after some deliberation.

Citadel

Leesin'Cemor vas Saajol sat at the auction, "400 credits" he shouted!
Quarian did not usually spend large amounts of money on buying ships, but this was a special circumstance. A dreadnought for sale was too sweet of a deal to pass by. The forces the Geth possessed was unknown and the Quarians would need every asset.

420 credits income
-200 to Volus
-50 2 mining ship 2 months
-120 10 Marine Division 2 months

New income 435
22 credits in balance

Sur'Kesh
- Office of the Sur'Kesh Dalatrass

The Office of the Dalatrass was split into two parts; one contained a conference room, the Dalatrass' personal office, as well as rooms for various support staff, with guards and security measures to match. This, however, was just what the public saw, the second area was much more utilitarian. Several hundred feet underneath the main office building, sat the Salarian Special Task Group HQ. A bunker of unfathomable informational wealth, the STGHQ sat at the centre of the main apparatus for Salarian intelligence gathering. The room was lined with monitors, data storage, cryptographic processors, and dozens of STG analysts who sorted through the data at remarkable speed.. for other species, at least. Today was somewhat of a slow day for the STG, with only standard reconnaissance operations ongoing.

"Dalatrass Relbana, the our Council Representative has reported in, she remarks that the Volus have requested a trade route with us. We'd gain not an inconsiderable amount of resources, however, they would as well," remarked Aetaf Filzik, one of the STG's 7 Union Commandos. The Union Commandos were the absolute best the Salarians had when it came to field operations, and the Dalatrass had reasons to call Filzik in.

"We can afford to give them this. Have our Representative respond in the affirmative, however, ensure we can respond quickly should something occur," responded the Dalatrass.

"As you wish. In other news, our SpecOps teams on Tuchanka reported a strike against Clan Weyrloc by Clan Urdnot. IEDs on one of their main highways took out a Weyrloc convoy, which we believe had Weyrloc Guld on board, one of Clan Urdnot's main competitors to a plan revealed by Urdnot Da'kir."

"Urdnot Dak'ir... Maintain our presence on Tuchanka, and especially eyes on Urdnot Da'kir. And get confirmation on Weyrloc Guld's death, if you can. Go personally, and take some additional SpecOps teams with you. We need to be sure if this is more Krogran chest-beating, or an actual threat we need to respond to."
"Of course, my Dalatrass," as Filzik offered the standard Salarian salute, before taking his leave to one of the monitors, and calling up some SpecOps teams in an STG hangar elsewhere on Sur'Kesh

"Now for the paperwork..." as Dalatrass Relbana moved back to her office on the surface, and began to look over various proposals for new infrastructure in Salarian space, before finally deciding on one, and reconfirming all space owned and to be monitored by the Salarian Union

"Very well, patch it through.."

Several hours later..
"That was without a doubt the most dim-witted conversation I've ever had. It was on why the Union should diversify grain types. Simply abhorrent," groaned Dalatrass Relabana, moving back to her private office from the conference room.

Thessia

Matriarch Seri sighs and tosses the pad onto her desk. "Idiots." She mutters. "There is no way this could have just been the Geth." She looks out the window of her office at Thessia, her home. There is a knock at her door. "Come in!" She calls out and another Asari walks in. "Ah Aethyta." Seri says smiling a little welcoming her fellow Matriarch into her office. "I am surprised to see you here."

"Now why is that?"

"Well with what happened to Benezia it would be understandable if you are still in mourning." Seri seems pained as well bringing up the topic of her old friend and she goes to a counter to prepare drinks for them.

Aethyta seems sad at the topic as well. "It is best not to be stuck in the past like most Asari. Besides mine and Benezia's relationship ended years ago. After that we rarely communicated."

"Probably to avoid speaking to your daughter." Seri says pointedly.

"There is that too."

"I still insist that you try to speak with her. She has lost her mother and has never met her father. She is basically all alone and she is already a 106."

"It is a century too late so there is nothing left to do." She picks up the pad that Seri tossed. "What's this?"

"Tevos' report from what happened at the Citadel." Seri says handing her a drink. "To old friends." She says holding up her glass and imagining Benezia was here with them.

"To old friends" They clink their glasses together. "So what do you think of Tevos' report, Seri?"

"Truth be told I think she is omitting something. But I don't know what and that is irritating me."

"You and her ever truly got along."

"She is a diplomat and a compromiser but her views are different from the views you and I share. The Asari are too suck in the past and rely too much on diplomacy and commandos. We need to actually be able to defend our space from something like the Geth and not rely on allies for such things. We need more independence from such a thing."

"Can the Geth really be that much of a threat? Both of us remember the fall of Rannoch but if they challenge a power like the Asari or the Turians could they actually do anything?"

"The difference between mine and your's experience with the Geth is that you just remember the fall of the Quarian's home system. I was actually there and I fought alongside the Quarians for the duration of it. The Geth do not give up. No matter what. Now I am doubtful they could actually destroy the Turian Hierarchy, at least not without a few centuries of continuous warfare, though the Asari Republics would be a considerably easier target due to the real lack of a centralized government which would cause it to be harder to organize a resistance to invasion across the Asari Republics. But I am also doubtful they would give up now after an invasion like this. So that worries me considerably. The 'why' also worries me. Why after so long have they decided to invade? Tevos and the other Matriarchs are content to say 'invasion over' and carry on doing art or poetry or whatever they do during their spare time. But that is a folly. The Asari need to be prepared for a round 2, the Geth always come back."

"I am sure you are doing wonders convincing the others that this is such a good idea." Aethyra says sarcastically.

"Of course I'm not." Seri snaps at her. "They're idiots who think that their 'long views' cannot be disrupted by anything."

"The way your dressed probably doesn't help." Aethyra says cheerfully.

"There is nothing wrong with how I dress. It is much more simple then those robes or skintight suits other Asari seem so fond of, besides 'Asari must be willing to embrace other cultures'." She tells her and it obvious the last part was sarcastic. "Besides I like the style of it. After seeing Asari outfits for centuries they just seem so bland to me So something from human history is a nice change of pace." (OCC: her outfit is a Prussian military uniform
Image
) "I'll probably change it later if something fighting based happens later."

Aethyra chuckles. "And yet you wonder why people think you are so eccentric. Some others hold you up as an example of why it is a bad idea to spend most of your time on Thessia."

Seri dismisses this with a hand wave. "Regardless I am increasing the amount of money we are putting towards infrastructure and the Asari military is to be expanded by my order. It is generally agreed that I am the commander in chief of the military due to my military background."

"Good on you. Now lets see what's on the news." She turns on the news.

Now we do not know a lot about the general at this time, but we do know that he is the same man who designed several raids on pirate strong holds in the Attican Traverse and conducted operations to rescue 16 Turian citizens as well, 2 Humans and a 3 Salarians. For on developments stay connected to Citadel New Network to find out.

"Fedorian was shaken by the incident I know that much but resigning was a big move from him." Seri remarks. "I may hate formalities but I should send him a message and ask for a meeting over military matters."

To the newly appointed Primarch Nyree Victus,
As commander in chief of the Asari military I would like to congratulate you on your appointment to the office of Primarch. I was happy to call your predecessor a friend and I sincerely hope that we shall continue the working relationship set up between Fedorian and myself. With that in mind I would like to suggest a meeting between us to discuss future joint military action between our two militaries. Call me paranoid but I have fears over future Geth incursions into Citadel Space. Councilor Tevos does not know I have sent you this message and I would prefer to keep it this way.
With due respect,
Matriarch Seri

She has the message sent to him and sighs. "In the meantime I want to know what Tevos hasn't included in her report. I will want to meet with Benezia's daughter sometime soon. Maybe she can shed some light on things since she was there."

"Count me out of it. I would prefer not to meet her." Aethyra tells her.

"Very well but now I have work to do." She opens up some datapads and starts sending production orders.

Nyree sat in his new office, arms folded as the sound of the vents running drown out the noise of soldiers outside his office. The primarch made a few adjustments to the security of the office as well as adding updated kinetic barriers around the structure of the building. This had been done with secrecy. No one was to know of the new barrier. Letting out a sigh he thought to himself, Why would Fedorian leave now? Why pass the empire off to me? Surely I meet the skills and above but regardless. He could have handled all of this by himself. Something must had upset Fedorian. I need to find out what that is.
A beep cam in Victus's ear,and the light of his terminal flicked. Uncrossing his arms the Primarch his a few keys to view the message.

To the newly appointed Primarch Nyree Victus,
As commander in chief of the Asari military I would like to congratulate you on your appointment to the office of Primarch. Matriarch Seri

Reading it over Nyree flinched, He wasn't used to seeing "Primarch Nyree Victus" yet, he thought to himself. Nyree scratched his nose and leaned in and began to type out a response to the Matriarch .

To Matriarch Seri
We will meet soon.

Primarch Victus

Nyree stood and began to type on his Omni Tool, warning the crew of a 3rd fleet destroyer "Romulus" that he was on the way, and to prepare to depart for Thesia as soon as he was on deck. Puting on his deep black and blue military vest he stepped out the door instantly swapping a salute to his Marine detail waiting outside. Keeping a fast pace the primarch stepped into his shuttle and headed strait to orbit to meet with the Romulus.

Shortly after she sent the message Seri gets a reply.
To Matriarch Seri
We will meet soon.

Primarch Victus

Matriarch Seri smiles slightly. "So precise. With any luck this will bode well."

A couple hours later Seri is just shooting targets in her office to stave off boredom. "So little to do while waiting." She mutters as she shoots targets cleanly and precisely thinking back to her various battles in her long life. The Geth Rebellion has always stuck in her mind and has given her a fear and hatred of synthetic life. That is why she doesn't use a VI for anything, not even a secretary, in fact she doesn't have a secretary preferring to handle all her affairs by herself. This has also led her and some other sympathetic Asari Matriarchs to discreetly channel funds and actually a couple ships to the Migrant Fleet. "The Quarians certainly cracked down hard on their own people for opposing the extermination order for the Geth but the Geth are machines and a machine that can rebel against its master must be destroyed. All life has a purpose and use for one another but what use are we to machines?"

She shoots another target and she hears a voice at her doorway. "Nice shot."

She turns swiftly with gun pointed at the doorway and sees a Turian there. She recognizes him from the news and holsters her pistol. "Primarch Victus I assume?" She says calmly and gestures towards a chair. "Take a seat if you want one." She tells him as she sits down at her desk.

Primarch Nyree Victus
Thesia

Nyree looks at the Asari with an emotionless stare, looking over his shoulder his two turian guards about faced to meet the asari guards and closed the door. Taking a short breath Nyree spoke, "Yes ma'am. I am Primarch Vitctus of the Hierarchy. " Nyree stepped forward his hands crossed behind his back out of respect. "You wanted to meet, and I did not know how early you wanted to meet. I hope I did not cause any disterbance in your plans for the day your honorable Matriarch Seri." Looking around the large room Nyree observed many of the trophies arounf on display, "War trophies?" Nyree thought to himself.

"No disturbance at all, Primarch." Seri says politely. "I have been shooting targets to stave off boredom truth be told. It doesn't have the same feel a battlefield has though." She gestures to various trophies in her office including a intact, but permanently disabled, Geth Prime. "Mercenary companies doesn't have the same taste like a real war, a real battlefield, either, I am a soldier first and a Matriarch second all things considered. I actually thank you for your speed truth be told, my fellow Matriarchs prefer to take things slowly and wait. I, on the other hand, believe that if something can be done fast and will achieve the same result it should be done fast." She pauses in thought. "Oh and drop the politeness if you want to Primarch. I dislike people doing such things if they don't like them." She takes a deep breath. "Now to the point. You know full well the Citadel was attacked recently. What is your personal belief on the possibility of the Geth continuing to attack Council Space?"

Nyree thought for a second, then another, the Geth were not stupid by far, and if they did attack they needed a reason. Just like Nyree they would not go into something without having a sure though of a possibility of victory. The last attack on the Citadel was defiantly on the Geth's side of it all. They would have lost had it not been for the unpredictable variable, Lieutenant Commander Shepard. The human had saved many at the cost of his own species to save the council, this was noble, but Nyree couldn't help but think it was for an alternate motive. Maybe Shepard knew the attacks would boot humanity's standing and even get them a seat on the council. Using the Geth would have been a clever move by far but it seed unlikely. But Nyree digressed and thought again of the question the matriarch had posed. Nyree stood strait and spoke, "The Geth are only a threat as long as we let the be a threat ma'am. There is no way for them to win a head on fight with my fleet alone and with the combined forces of the council they stand little if no chance. The turian people are always ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for the good of the galaxy, that is our way, Die for the Cause." Nyree thought for another second and began to pace within a five meter area then continued. "Unless the geth manage to build another enormous dreadnought like the one that attacked the citadel there is no real way for them to take on our fleets without a way to directly disrupt communications or invade several places at once. and even then if they do not capture and dig in fast enough they will be vulnerable to a swift counter attack by council forces resulting in quickly routed geth." Stopping in place Nyree looked the the Asari and in a deep tone he finished. "NO. They pose no threat as long as the hierarchy can maintain its forces and keep patrols on all council held systems up."

"A fair assessment and one I would agree with normally but something about this seems off." She thinks back to her time as commander of the Rannoch Relief Battalion, they were a volunteer battalion of volunteers from every species in Council space, from Krogan to Turians to Asari who went to Rannoch to fight the Geth. Most of them died during the final battle but there were a few survivors including Seri. "The Geth certainly couldn't attack Palavan or Thessia without having their invasion force destroyed. And I do believe that the Turian military is the largest safeguard to Council Space and I really do believe in the Turian's ability to make sacrifices." She says this honestly because it is a trait she admires in them, and wishes her fellow Asari were more willing to do. "But I fought in the Geth Uprising 300 years ago and they had a much larger force than what attacked the Citadel. The question is where is that force? The Geth would be smart enough to realize that organics could attack them at anytime so they would have a large standing military. As for a ship that large it wouldn't be conceivable that they don't have more. They had 300 years to build ships and units and their only limit was time and resource availability. But if that ship was built recently it raises another question. Why go to war against organics? They certainly wouldn't need worlds to colonize. Resources maybe? Yet they attacked Feros which has little in resources. The Prothean Beacon? Sure that would be a prize even for the Geth but why place charges to blow up the colony with the beacon still inside it? Also why would they continue attacking after that? And why the Citadel? Actually why would they even attack the Citadel? Certainly they could have taken out the Council but they don't seem to have been the target, otherwise the Destiny Ascension would have been the primary target, they were more concerned with capturing the Citadel. Why? What would that have gained them?"

She sighs and closes her eyes for a moment. "Regardless these are not questions for soldiers really, our job is to kill the enemy. Overall yes provided our militaries stand ready to respond to Geth incursions any Geth assault will eventually be repelled. Yet they have shown a cleverness in closing Mass Relays which nearly cost us the Citadel. If they pulled this on say, Cyone, which serves as Asari Military Headquarters half the time and is home to our best shipyards, the military for either the Asari or Turians would not be able to send any form of relief. Worlds like Thessia and Palavan would be safe from that due to population sizes and the large protection forces they have but most of our outlying worlds would be in danger." She sighs again. "The Asari will keep to the Treaty of Firaxen but otherwise the Asari military is increasing production of all ships of all classes, as well as increasing our land forces." She says finally. "We will do everything in our power to keep our space secure." She sighs one last time. "This is also for the Asari's benefit Primarch because, and I will be frank, my people have grown too complacent. They need a good kick to stir them out of this stupor." It is clear that she has a distaste for her own people's culture. "In the meantime I am transferring funds next month to the Turian Hierarchy for use in the development of Turian infrastructure and the Turian military."

-120 1 Marine Division 2 months

New income 435
22 credits in balance

Barla Von waddled around the stage, the crowed almost did the same. All wondering who had given that bid. "Finally coming into view of the person raising there hand... A Suit rat! The volus scoffed, and turned to the rest of the crowd, "Any higher bidders?" The crowd was silent, some of the patrons looked back and forth at each other, as the krogan stood and left the room. Another second passed, then two, then three, "Anyone? Can I get 401?" The room again was silent. "SOLD! To the Suit-Ra- Quarian!" Barla had corrected himself. Come see me to fill out the paper work he said with a sigh. Slowly he waddled off the stage as the crowd dispersed all disappointed. Probly because a clanless had out-bid them. Barla wanted to puke in his environmental suit. He hated the Clanless scum.

"For the greater good of our peoples such meetings will most likely be required yes." She says putting her hands together on her desk. "I will place my faith in the Turian Hierarchy and hope for the best. It has been a pleasure meeting with you and I hope to count you as an ally in the future." After he leaves she smiles. "He really is different from Fedorian. I don't know if I should respect him or be wary of him." She sighs and she looks over the trophies in her room. "With the cover of strengthening the Asari's defenses maybe the time is getting closer." She takes out a datapad and begins dictating a message.

To Admiral Han'Gerrel vas Neema,
I served in the Geth Uprising, I fought alongside the Quarians as they battled their own creations. I saw the fall of Rannoch. Yet I remember the vow made by myself and the rest of the Rannoch Relief Battalion as we retreated alongside the Quarians that if the Quarians were to attempt to retake their homeworld we the survivors will do everything in our power to assist. And that is what I offer now. As both myself and the Migrant Fleet grow older I realize that time is running out for both. I may be indicted as a traitor to the Asari for foolishly endangering Asari lives but as commander in chief of the Asari military I now the threat the Geth pose to the whole galaxy. I will offer as much aid as possible to the Quarians. Including the attached credit amount.

In all faithfulness and friendship, Matriarch Seri.

She sighs but then has a better idea. Her agents had informed her that there was a Quarian on Thessia for his Pilgrimage but right now he was looking for a way back to the Migrant Fleet. Why doesn't she offer him a way back? After having one of her personal commandos track him down they reach an agreement where she will personally fly him back to the fleet there she will attempt to meet with Admiral Han'Gerrel vas Neema, failing that she will give the Quarian the message to hand to Admiral Han'Gerrel. Either was he gets it and understands her intentions. She plans to take the trip to where the Migrant Fleet is next month, the only people being on board her personal ship is the Quarian, her personal commandos, and a few Asari and Krogan who she invited along because they were her comrades from the Rannoch Relief Battalion. Most people don't know she is actually taking this trip and she has made an excuse for why she will not be in her office on Thessia or Cyone. (OCC: Matriarch Seri is fully capable of running the Asari Navy and placing orders, she will obviously arrive there next month)
