Syrixces wrote:Super Identity: The Monument

Real Name: Robert Hager

Identity Known ?: Yes

Hero, Villain, Or Neutral: Neutral, leans towards hero

Age: 37

Gender: Male

Appearance: Black super suit, with gold full elbow to hands gloves, a gold cape that covers his shoulders, back, and front part of upper chest, gold fringe along all lines of suit, gold mid section, curving up under pecs, over abs, with a black 'M', gold full knee length boots, Caucasian skin, golden eyes, long, shoulder length golden hair.

Affiliation: None

Legal Sanctions: Entity, above the law

Alignment: True Neutral

Powers: The Monument is what he is called, a Monument. He is almost indestructible, able to withstand a near nuclear strike. He has immense strength (Max Has yet to be found), has strong speed (Max 50 mph), flight, and is capable of emitting solar energy as a weapon.

Equipment: None

Weaknesses: The Monument's abilities rely upon solar rays, and can exhaust him quickly. If he uses his powers for more than two days straight, without at least 24 hours of recharge, he becomes extremely weakened, up to three days, and he may die. Not only that, but The Monument has an extreme phobia of water. The thought or threat of drowning can cause him to loose focus, and his powers to violently erupt, draining him very quickly. characters with water or darkness manipulation have an extreme advantage against him.

Personality: The Monument believes in one thing, balance. He is delusional, believing that he must bring balance between good and evil. Which ever side is loosing, he joins them. He believes that he must keep the balance between the two, and will aid whichever he believes is at a disadvantage. He is very logical, and callous, and has to be reminded sometimes of his morals. He does not completely understand his strength, and can inadvertently kill someone.

Background: Robert was a nueroscientist, working with optogenetics for the government. His project was to use light, to stimulate latency evolutionary change. However, due to a recent budget cut, his program was cut. In a last chance test, Robert used his light reactionary system on himself, and unlocked 10 million years of lost evolution. Robert unlocked marvelous powers, at the cost of his scientific mind, and now has one purpose: balance. Little else is known about Robert's past. Other than his name, Robert has forgotten everything, and has no desire to recover his past.

RP Past: I'm on academy of heroes and villains relaunched

I'm going to approve him. Big powers but a big weakness to go with it.

Out of curiosity is he always the Monument? Kinda like Dr. Manhattan is always a big blue dude.

Super Identity: Baron Samedi
Real Identity: Ezekiel Facilier
Is the true identity public knowledge or private? A bit of both, mostly public to those in his hometown.
Hero, Villain, or Neutral? Villain
Age: 150
Gender: Male
Appearance: Pictures or descriptions are fine.
Image

Image

Group Affiliation: None
Legal Sanctions: N/A
D&D Alignment: Neutral Evil
Powers: Vodou Deity Physiology (Baron Samedi), Voodoo, Contract Bestowal and Card Manipulation
Equipment: Cards and his staff
Power Origin: Magic
Weaknesses: His Voodoo won't work on someone who knows how to counter it or is proficient in Light Magic. If any totems are destroyed then whatever effects they had are destroyed as well. Holy objects will cause him pain and can block his magic to an extent.
These fall under Vodou Deity Physiology- Baron Samedi:
Those with Psionic Shield or Indomitable Will may not be affected unless users earn their trust.
Users may have a hard time earning others' trust at times if they are already familiar with the user's ability.
Loneliness Embodiment users may be too encapsulated in solitude to want a leader.

He has limited range, can only heal via touch or a card.
    Useless against Irreversible Destruction.
May be painful for the recipient of the healing.

    Doesn't work on deities.
May take time if a spell is placed on the corpse to prevent rising.
The risen has no soul, and are mindless servants.

Is more difficult then Necromancy, so it takes longer with more rituals.
If someone wishes to stay dead, then their soul will not return and they cannot be resurrected.

Some empaths may be able to counter this ability.
Doesn't have affect with those who have Seduction Immunity, Indomitable Will or Apathy.
Is only activated through touch or via card.

Personality: He does what he wants and really doesn't care, though he always honors a deal.
Background: The Vodou Loa known as Baron Samedi was long ago sealed away, along with many other ancient deities, by a secret Christian society over four hundred years ago. Samedi, being exceptionally powerful in manipulation and Voodoo, worked at a way to peak through their prison and influence this world. Eventually, he was able too, and the first contact he made was with Ezekiel Facilier, a con-man and Voodoo practitioner in Louisiana. Deciding that the easiest way to make his presence known was to give his power to someone else, he made a deal with Ezekiel; He would turn Ezekiel into the new Baron Samedi, and he would convert people to Samedism.

The original, yes. Ezekiel has the Baron's powers, albeit weaker. Unlike the actual Baron's, Ezekiel's can be blocked with knowledge of Voodoo, strong Light Magic, or Holy objects.

Does the monument have any opinion about the scrap in Los Santos? I guess it isn't really a good/evil conflict, it's just a confused brawl...

but which side is good though? One side is trying to save Ghost, the other is trying to capture him to keep people safe, and the other side is trying to leave without ghost being noticed so Ghost's host isn't hunted down and killed.
