Yeah. I mean it would be cool if it boosted Happiness by like, 6-8, but 30 is aggressive. I paid 8 BP and 3 RP just for a project that currently gives me +5 Happiness.

I could reduce the scaling a bit, but I don't necessarily see how it's too OP. If I had kept six Pop in my capital like I planned, I would only be gaining 12 Happiness and 3 Health, which is a bit more reasonable. Instead, the whole cryopod thing ended up forcing me to keep 14 Population there, 5 of which is typically unemployed.

I mean, you can only have 4 secret projects anyway. Like Civ's UU's, UA's, and UI's, they're what distinguishes the players from each other, and just like them, their scale-ability determines their usefulness. IMO, they ought to be a little creatively overpowered, not just flat bonuses to whatever stat you lack.

I recall some talks of a Utopia project, some kind of housing facility that generates extra happiness after its occupants perhaps? Or was it someone else's utopia projects? I recall multiple requests.

Anyway, the current bonuses are indeed incredibly powerful. Perhaps a simple +1 Happiness for all local residents (Basically nobody at the base generates unhappiness) along with a + 2 - 3 Health bonus or other flat bonus could be feasible.

With G-tech, we made a habit of lowering initial benefits from bonuses that expand over time below benefits from flat bonuses. I think this practice makes perfect sense.

I can go with lowering the Happiness modifier to 1x, but I'd like to keep the 0.5x Health bonus. Not sure if you guys understand just how much potential I'm wasting right now just by keeping those two Hab Pods inside Eientei.

You could always just move them out, or let them starve if you don't want the population. The trouble is that currently for every five population you hold on Elentei, you can hold an additional 7 outside anywhere completely free of downsides. That's powerful, no matter how you spin it. I'd happily put double Wealth into my Projects to get doubled bonuses for epic Lolz, but there's a reasonable limit on how powerful each project is.

Besides, you still have plenty more to build. You'll survive if your first one only provides an awesome bonus, not a game-breaking one.

I think it's the way my brain works. I can't settle for simply "good," it has to be better.

And besides, I'd like to mention the Walking Factory. Considering when it showed up, that thing was way more OP. My recent proposal still stands, but I have to go sleep, and since I already hate typing on a phone, this is it for the night.

My calculations show I would have Climatology by Year 21 (quarter 1 or 2).
So Climatology + 4 metal (or 2 wealth) for Hydrology in year 21?
