It basically says: no unhappiness from people living here.
If you got 2 guys living there, you eliminate 2 unhappiness (or 4 if they came from the street).

YAY! Post 1000.

Dire news. I somehow lost the tab in which I wrote the reboot OP.
It will have to wait. I'm not in the mood to rewrite the whole thing.

Just to clarify, Suburbs only give happy citizens if they're maxed out at four people, right?

Ah, my bad, I meant Residential Complexes. They give only +1 Happiness if they have 4 citizens, or is it +1 Happiness per citizen at that level of occupation?

The former.
Although, the +1 happiness applies when its 4 or less.
In my opinion though, its more worth it to fill the complex to capacity.

Ok, it took two days, but I think I finally got it: Metal matches up, health matches up, happiness matches up, Manufactories don't cost energy, my building line is fairly in tact (i.e. it is back to what it originally was in the 1st draft...), and I have 100 citizens protesting since year 3. Any glaring mistakes (please say no...)?
Time to catch up on 1.5 years...

Requesting implementation of a transport module that replaces a weapons slot but allows units to move with it.

Requesting implementation of some sort of medic weapons system that heals/repairs stuff(essentially giving it temporary bonus health)

Both probably good ideas.

Though to be fair, nobody has built weapons in the first seven years, or even expanded much. Stability and prosperity is expensive.

I just want them to be there, for fluffy reasons.

Also out of curiosity: Does anyone have a Network Link?

There is no transport module, but units without Weapons/payload act as transport instead. Usually, 1 missing weapon or payload mean 1 free cargo space.
1 Trooper takes up 1 cargo space
1 mechanized takes up 2 cargo space.

Its not in the rules yet, but weapons facilities can retrofit units with new components. 1 weapons facility can refit 1 unit per quarter.

I don't believe, offhand, that anyone has a Link online yet. Almost nobody has taken the free Tier 2 tech, and research takes a while to set up.

I just updated the link rules. It now costs some serious E to transfer techs.
I'm also working on the espionage rules.

Part I.
Faction Leader Name: Tenshi Megami
Faction Leader Appearance: Why is it red when all else is blue? There is a reason
Faction Leader Biography: The youngest of the surviving crew, Tenshi had, before the disaster, worked as a minor medical officer, responsible for maintaining the ship's life support and cryostasis functions. Though typically quiet and reserved, she was the only one to speak out against the A.I's plan. There were not nearly enough remaining crew to cover all of the cryopods, she argued, and nobody deserved to be left behind. Instead, they should focus on fixing or salvaging enough of the ship to save all of the cryopods, even if it meant abandoning the colony modules and much of the supplies. The other crew vehemently disagreed, and in the end, Tenshi declared that she would stay behind, sacrificing herself to save who she could.

That was seven years ago.

She had tried, to be sure. Oh yes, she had tried. But alas, the captain's sabotage had been too thorough. Without the power and supplies required to maintain each of the hundreds of colony pods, they began to fail, one by one, just as the A.I had predicted. Trapped on the derelict hulk, watching each soul slowly slip away through the cracks in her sanity, Tenshi reactivated the ship's reactor in one last, desperate gamble. With a critical meltdown imminent, she used the last surge of power to reactivate as many habitation pods and colony modules as she could and launch them into the void, with naught to guide them but the faint prayer on her lips.

Finally, she has arrived. She released the colonists and told them of her story, and they welcomed her as their savior, who would guide them beyond the tragedy of their past, to a utopia where none would ever have to suffer again. She welcomed their hope, accepted their faith, and proclaimed herself their leader, taking the name she now uses. Little remains of her past now. Hopefully, it'll stay that way.
Part II.
Faction Name: Children of Gaia
Faction Color: A nice, soothing blue
Faction Logo:
Image

Faction Ideology: A cult of personality surrounding their leader accounts for the non-oppressive dictatorship, which values the sanctity of life and the ability to help others above all else. Since they alone witnessed the Harmony's final moments, they are committed to preserving peace and ensuring the survival of humanity.(Essentially, the Red Cross/Switzerland)

Tenshi's views may be SLIGHTLY different.
Faction Theme Music:Deaf to all but the Song ~ Piano Arrangement
Faction Landing Site:18
Part III.
Faction Architecture: Tall blue spires that reach towards the sky, reminding the people of what they lost in the vastness of space.
Faction Fashion: If anyone's played Killzone: Shadowfall, it's quite similar to the Vektan civilians. Otherwise, I can't find any pictures.
Info on Faction Population: The overall culture is similar to that of Scandinavian Europe, particularly Sweden/Norway, as is their general appearance. With the notable exception of Tenshi herself, of course.

Caines, the gov'nor raised a habitation block so you have a pod + base core + hab block for a total of 8 housing!
