Giving this a look over. I loved the Mass Effect games (3 less so) and I wasn't able to get in on the previous iterations of this RP.

Trying to decide between Salarians, Quarians, Volus, Rachni, Vorcha and the Batarians. I'm much lesser in my want on the Batarians though cause ya know, slaves.

The Rachni aren't quite dead, there was the Queen that escaped plus they're on the OP. They'd be a hard one to play as but the Volus would be far easier plus if anyone picked a fight with the Volus they have Turian guns to look forward to, I ruled them out though because they're a puppet state.

a soviet army is very much combined arms if they were going to take fortified hill for example they'd use Artillary to soften the enemy before an armored spearhead made up of tanks and APC's supported by helicopters and aircraft smash through the hill.
