The alliance with the Quarians is with the Asari military not Councilor Tevos thankfully so at least that won't change, also the alliance will be, on paper, defensive, but I am sure Matriarch Seri can point some "volunteers" in the right direction if the Quarians went to war. There is a bright side to the Asari's very decentralized government, the commander in chief doesn't answer to anyone besides the rest of high command (and the Asari Councilor of course) since there is no real leader of all Asari like the Turians or Humans have to call her to account.

We can begin cross examination after you explain yourself. The I think the Turian Councilor should start the talks by asking. "Tell us why we shouldn't space you immediately?" Or something like that. It sounds about right to me.

They listen to Marwl for the most part, he has shown to be diplomatic, a visionary, and apparently disciplined enough to retreat. So I would think he would know what a food chain was.
