Native language.

Every language.

Both text and speech.

You're either dealing with magically crypted text, magically obfuscated language, psychical mind blocks, or reading from an ancient Cthonic text. In the last case, it doesn't work because your mind is already melting and leaking down your nostrils

In light of this information, I have amended my last post to include Adrienne's realisation of and reaction to the translation magecraft. It's only a short paragraph at the beginning, and not at all required reading; it's just that it would bother me just a bit if I didn't edit it in.

Couple quick questions for possible future reference:
-Do vampires have reflections?
-As a vampire uses their powers, do they age? (this seems to be the case with them needing blood to maintain a youthful appearance, but I just want to be sure)
-I had others, but now I seem to have misplaced them in my mind because I'm apparently about to turn seventy and can't remember anything for more than five minutes, so...

No, they don't. Getting a picture taken is a bit hard, as a result.

The loss of blood can cause quick physical aging, but it depends on how much is expended.

That works too. ^_^

Also Latznavia, it might just be a personal thing, but it's a tad difficult to determine who is speaking in your posts at first glance, as all speech is in quotations and names come much later in the paragraph. Could you perhaps make other characters' speech more distinguishable? Perhaps put

Mnar, Norv, everyone else, would you be fine with assuming that Dulac has carved the rune on anyone willing, so as to leave me with some "free space" to better proceed into the plot.

While I'd totally love to see some more scalpel freakouts, it could make the following post series a bit redundant.

Yallah, yallah.
For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

I didn't mention Kowalski because he is not on the list of accepted characters on page one of this thread.

Great post, but I just have one question. The Investigation team just ran into a commotion, right? I suppose we're expected to check it out?

Well, we're an investigation team. My first thought would be to stay away from it, maybe using some form of remote viewing if possible, and only move in after the fighting is over and if we have a clear access to the scene that can be expected to last for long enough.
