Just making sure, thanks.

Also, I've had a question for a while. Does magic tire magi and witches? Does it use up their prana (or some other form of energy)? I've been assuming it does, but it hasn't really come into play until now.

I'd guess so.

Right now I'm listening to music from this game as I'm trying to write emotional stuff for EH.

I really like Here's to You, Nicola and Bart, but The Partisan is incredibly powerful. For my part, I can only ever hear it in Leonard Cohen's voice, with a single guitar for accompaniment, and half of it in French. But it's a tremendous song for hard times.

For my part, I only sometimes listen to music when writing. I use it to put me in the right frame of mind for a character. So what I listen to varies, depending on the setting or character at hand.

I've been listening a lot to Civil War music for Matt; somehow, it hits the right balance of intense emotion, hopeless idealism, and deep, grim pain. In particular, I spend a lot of time with this version of The Faded Coat of Blue, and this version of Take Your Gun and Go, John.

And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

Marvelous songs.

Speaking of The Partisan, while I discovered it long after the inception of the RP, it's probably one of the most valuable songs in my archive: it and Nuclear led to the birth of a character who I can't wait to play, and which all of you will hopefully enjoy.

This isn't NSG, and this is really not the place for fascist apologia, given that the undersigned's grandfather is now suffering from lifelong trauma due to said ideology.

We all know the answer to that already, anyways. It's obvious that an anarcho-fascist libertarian-theocratic-feudal system with a monarch at its helm (with democratic elements influencing the theocracy and corporations pulling the strings of the monarch, of course) is the best form of government.
Don't know why anybody argues on NSG for anything else.

So, the reason I didn't address the translation device in my IC post is thus: I have some questions regarding its mode of operation.

Does it translate everything into the person's native language, or into English?
Does it translate every language the person speaks into the listener's language, or does it only translate English into the listener's language?
Does it translate text, or only speech?
If there's something that can't be translated, what happens?
I wear teal, blue & pink for Swith.
