I never bothered with it. Admittedly, I stopped bothering with my own WoF spinoff once the main one died. I can revive it, if anyone wants to play Axis. Pls post Milena is very sad. ;-;

Sounds interesting enough, I'd be willing.

Well, the link's right here, if you like. I know it hasn't been posted for some time, but I was hoping to change that so I actually have an ending to this. As for characters, you can either discuss with me via TG, here in the thread or on the SW2012 IRC. Up to you. :)

Y'all are all amateurs! Listen to the AED'S instructions!

Also, I have been thinking about a similar RP, only it involves Earth-based warriors from different time periods, who are abducted by a civilization of humans whose technology is very advanced though they detest war. As it turns out, human life did not originate on Earth. While humanity has become a star-blazing civilization, Earth is a pre-warp civilization that is commonly viewed as a bunch of violent savages.

The space humans are at war with either lizardbeasts or catbeasts, and since the humans are the combat equivalent of a mild-mannered suburban doctor, they are losing colonies and their people are being killed or enslaved. Centuries of peace have made them inept and untested in combat, so they decide to recruit from Earth.

With the power of time-travel and the existence of unexplained forces that prevent the alteration of the future, the space human start stealing human warriors. Samurai, Amazons, Green Berets, Knights, etc.

The gist.

Dangit folks, I saw this and had a spike of 'Oh holy crap, Agri must have posted and the ICs moving again. Oh frabjous day!' before noticing the 'OOC' tag and feeling like an idiot for not reading.

Cy, the idea sounds neat. I'd look it over, though I'd probably opt-out of doing anything due to time concerns.
Wolf, I would do something for the Nazi side but...Well, if I'm going to be honest I enjoy(ed) writing Jannie too much to want to write anyone else in the same world :p .
Rup, dare I ask who or what 'Mach' is?
Random folks who might be reading this, the RP is currently buried alive like that girl in Kill Bill. It may return, but will have to one-inch-punch its way through a bunch of oak and dig through a lot of dirt to get back above-ground.

Regarding the Nazis: When that spinoff went live, I was severely depressed and couldn't find the motivation to sign up. (I'm now better, though, through the power of pills! xD )

Regarding Cy's idea: That sounds really cool. When it goes up, I'll take a look at it and see if I have the time.

Player Character App (Shadow Ops Operative)

Name: David Icarus Smith
Gender: Male
Age: 15
D.O.B.: July 4th, 1923 - on enlistment forms, actual birth year 1926
Physical Description and/or Picture:
Species (if Human, specify if Mundane, Mage, Witch, Minuteman or Esper): Human "Minuteman"
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: White, Native "Indian"
Religion (if any): Christian
Powers/Magical Specializations (Only if Mage, Witch or Esper):
Bio: Born to an American soldier who served in the first world war and a nurse David grew up in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia. His constant companion was a lass who was the daughter of one of his mother's friend's, after she vanished in Europe visiting family the girl was left alone and taken in by the Smith's. David enjoyed the outdoors and would run around with Jeanne for hours on end and get covered in enough mud to landscape a farm with, he never knew of aggression until his school years. One day going to school he was faced by a group of three much larger fifth graders who demanded his lunch money, he refused and told Alouette to get into the school. By the time teachers found him David's glasses were broken to shards, his book was torn to shreds, and his nose was bleeding. The next week was rough, the three punks that beat up David were beating up a lot of the younger kids and the school teachers refused to do anything about it, finally David's mother gave him the ultimatum, either he fights back against the bullies or she'd whip him worse than they ever could. The young man set out that day with steel in his heart, he had read the lessons of Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, Washington, and the natives of the continent which he called home.

Walking Ally to class he laid out his plan, he'd wait for them along the wooded path to school with mud rubbed on himself along with leaves and various botanical fauna. On his back was a shield fashioned from a metal trash can lid that he had poorly painted a set of three large stars in the center of a solid blue circle with a badly shapen series of white and red stripes and in his hand was a sling shot while his side held a good sized sack of fist sized pinecones. Seeing the three walk down the rough path he waited opportunistically for one to bend over to tie his shoe, that is when he pounced. Barraging them with the sharp and spiny seed pods he got their attention before retreating back into the forest, leading them further in. They quickly fell prey to his strategy, the two shorter kids ended up in leg ties dangling ten feet up in a tree, the taller and more beefy kid was the only one left now. Jumping from a bush David attempted to assail him with a club like stick only for it to break over the brute's head and anger him more. The fight ensued which saw the far weaker and younger David repeatedly stand up after being knocked down. The final results of the tussle were David walking away with bloody knuckles, bruises all over, and that ugly shield with a strangely face shaped dent in it. The parent teacher meeting would end with his mother chewing out the faculty for not stopping the issue themselves when told of it, but secretly David was glad for it - it taught him a lesson, bullies will never stop unless you make them.

The day Pearl Harbor happened he was in school, news of it came over the radio and school had been called off so the students could be with their families; it was a hard felt tragedy on a national level. That night he packed his backpack full of enough food and supplies to get him as far from home as possible, he was going to enlist and nothing would stop him. Managing to hitchhike from the outskirts of Virginia towards Richmond he studied the documents he'd need and forged them fairly well. The first time he was denied based on his allergies, the second time he was denied due to being anemic, the third he failed to pass the physical examination. Each time he applied under a new name and changed up all his information until finally he succeeded on attempt number thirteen, his journey had taken him from Richmond to Washington D.C. in two weeks. The game was quickly up though when a uniformed officer cornered him and brought out a file full of all his attempts at enlistment, he was given one choice - agree to an experiment where he'd join several other men or be discharged with no chance of enlistment ever.

Agreeing solemn and gravely David found himself a part of a government program to create soldiers far beyond the potential of normal man. He was by far the youngest and weakest, not exactly the smartest either, but his experience fighting school bullies for the last ten years gave him his own unique element to add to the team. After the treatments and training David noticed a great change in himself, he had gone from five foot ten inches to six foot even and his weight had increased to a lean and discretely muscular frame as training went on. The men were pushed to their limits and beyond, they were able to withstand levels of exhaustion far beyond human means and even at they several still almost died in training. David saw the men all working as individuals and not at all as a single unit and reached deep within himself to dig out what he knew they all needed, a leader. He began by calling a cadence during their runs, organizing strategies during training scenarios, and encouraging everyone to study any materials they found on whatever subject it happened to be.

By the end of training it all paid off, the band of misfits and rejects who no one would miss had turned into a band of soldiers committed to personally escorting Adolf Hitler to the gates of Hell. David still displays his genuine personality until he is needed to act. When his developed and partly natural leadership skills come out his small and quiet voice booms like thunder from the heavens. In training his accuracy is spot on, though instead of the arsenal the Minutemen were given he uses the standard M1911, a Ka-Bar, and carries a Thompson submachine gun - though he has taken fondly to a makeshift shield of green painted metal, formerly a tank hatch, that he broke off the top of a training tank during a live fire exercise.
Psychological Profile: Acute gynophobia, fear of public speaking, dauntless, determined, quiet and shy most often, has been observed to love reading and is very intellectual
Why do you fight?: Because I won't stand for bullies
Defining Quote: "If saving another's life costs me my own then I will gladly pay that price

Eh, while that's a decent anime, not what I was thinking. Actually, come to think of it, I don't really know any good parallels in anime. Perhaps Log Horizon, or BTOOM! would be more appropriate?

Welp, I can say I've started enjoying KonoSuba recently. Was in the mood for good laughs and little dramas. Log Horizon is one of my favs. To answer your question, I do recommend you to watch Log Horizon from the first season. I'm sure it fits what you like.

Oh, I've watched LH and BTOOM and whatnot. I keep pretty up to date on the newer material coming out, but I just don't know any good parallels for what I was describing. A NEET doesn't mean a gamer necessarily. Log Horizon showed us that as did BTOOM.
