Cylarn wrote:“One cannot fault the Poles too heavily for making entreaties to you, Miss Heim.” Jannie said with a shrug. She nodded minutely at the woman, “The entire Polish nation has depended on others since it was created twenty years ago. It should come as no surprise its people share the characteristic.”
Am I the only one concerned that Jannie just burned an entire nation?

To paraphrase Carl von Clausewitz, philosophy is only trying to kill each other by other means.Cylarn wrote:

As Agri said, she is partly German so Pole-mockery kind'a comes with the territory.
Besides that, she's 160+ year old German who fought in the Napoleonic wars (most likely against, at some point, Poles). Poland is an annoying, artificial and 'spoiled' child of a nation created after WWI that reminds her Austria-Hungary used to...exist. Like Czechoslovakia, for that matter.Agritum wrote:Jannie's corpse smell?

"So, would you please accompany us back to our safe-house?" Jannie concluded, as if inviting the woman over for tea.

That said, I actually worked a coherent (read: not completely batshit insane) reason for the feasibility of the woman's probability models.
It's a pretty spoiler-ish reason, though.

Agri, you realize that at this very moment in your RP there are two literal vampires, two literal werewolves, a mage capable of summoning fireballs with words, a Soviet with the ability to control earth and water with his life-field/force, and a woman who joined the Eagle Squadron in Britain in 1940 on the street of occupied Warsaw in 1942 (which they reached by way of magical teleportation) while massive nazi zeppelins hover overhead and below them is another team of similar composition (but with the addition of an American super-soldier ala Captain America)?
I'm not criticizing, I'm just saying a coherent reason for the feasibility of one character's 'mathematical probability models' isn't exactly necessary. I don't think anyone would object if the way it worked wasn't realistic enough

For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.
