if anything, you can do two d10s and mark one as the tens place and one as the ones. If you get 10 in the tens and 1-9 in the ones, it is 1, 2, 3, etc.; if it is double 10s, it is 100.

Activity Level (How often do you post?): Currently I've been a tad preoccupied with my job, moving into a new home, and life in general. So my posting frequency has been near zilch, however I am looking to become much more involved, and dedicated to role-playing.
What do you hope contribute?: A friendly, and open personality. Trying to be a reliable poster who can handle any level of criticism, offering advice when needed, being emotional support, and doing my best to contribute to anything the group's focusing on.

Miserable. That single word sums up my entire day. A darkened horde of clouds blanketed the sky, overcast blocking out the stars and moon, unleashing hurdles of rain and thunder, with the occasional lightning strike creating a flash of brilliant light, showcasing the shrouded, wet, and muddy landscape, if only for just a second. Our meager fire support base (FSB) stood in the midst of the storm, allowing the strong downpour of water to besiege us without much of a complaint, that is unless we want to declare war on nature too; which for all I know, we might. It’s been raining nonstop for hours now, most of the artillery pieces, towed, and vehicular are tarped up, and everything else like mortars, munitions, as well as anything in between is sitting inside of a few of the swiftly built plywood barracks, and things like the howitzer pieces that aren’t vehicular are resting cozy on makeshift pallets, so they don’t sink into the slushy mixture of water and dirt. The majority of the auxiliary personnel are sleeping, probably having nightmares about the conditions they’re going to have to operate arty in.

Sitting underneath a lean-to built with a thin tin roof, which has been rattling nonstop from the droplets of water, some thin, soggy plywood to act as supports for the roof, and short walls for us. This shoddy structure is the only thing covering me from the storm. that’s my only line of defense from the downpour… also bullets, explosions, gas, and other things... basically in the cold open, with my only light source being an LED lamp is definitely not how I planned on serving my homeland. There was a fire burning earlier, providing at least some comfort, however when the only protection from the elements is a single sheet metal roof standing on support legs, with no walls, it’s easy to see how it would go out; especially noting that the wood used to feed the fire is soggy from the damn rain.

With every exhale my smoke like breath past by my field of vision, dissipating into the night. I’m not alone, there are others guarding different areas of the firebase, and of course I have support sitting, or slouching right next to me. I don’t know how anyone could sleep through this bitter weather, though I guess I have to applaud them for doing so. If I so wanted, I could rat them out to our superiors, but what’s the point? Our recently set up FSB is probably not considered much of a threat for the enemy brass. I mean sure we have plenty of arty, which could fuck ‘em up hypothetically speaking, though it hasn’t, in fact I’m fairly certain that the closest engagements are out of our range, even with the self propelled guns. No, we’re probably just here as a precaution to being pushed back. Our objective is most likely one of a defensive-offense, if our forces begin to falter and withdraw, our goal is to just stall any possible advance by the enemy. Unfortunately this is all just speculation on my part, I don’t actually know a damn thing.

Essentially yes. Certain aspects of warfare do change. We don't use square formation anymore for instance and swords or obsolete in war. It is the human nature of war that stays consistent.
