As for my own RP plans, I want to try something where a group of people are cut off from everyone else in the world. I already suggested something based on Under The Dome but it might have activity problems because it would have a whole town as an open world, so there wouldn't be anything forcing everyone to interact. My alternate idea is some kind of dark sci fi where Earth falls to aliens and a colony ship is sent into deep space to find a new planet to settle. Except instead of heading straight to a planet, we'd all be crew members who have their own ideas and there would be ship politics going on as we fight for supplies. I guess I'm really interested in the isolation theme because isolation brings out the worst and weirdest in people and makes for interesting character interactions.

Thats rather sad, but I will try to win you back over.

The plague arc is divided into several acts, and this roleplay takes place in the middle. Essentially whatever ending this first roleplay gets will not just fade away at the beginning of another as a token mention.

Lets say the military platoon stationed at the hospital complex deserts, and massacres everyone they can.

Then the squad guarding a safe zone has to worry about deserters attacking military convoys. The civilians braving out from their apartment have to watch out for the deserters who might be using an abandoned safe zone to coordinate raids.

The corporate pmcs might get paid to take out or exploit these deserters for whatever reason their corporate employer wants them to. Most importantly the civilian government will have to figure out how to coordinate resources amidst declining morale.

This could play a role in the ending for the Boston Act. Whether or not the civilian government collapses, some or more of Boston continues on, and whether the military decides to firebomb the city completely.

The United North American Cities, formerly the United North American States. A 'nation' ranging from Guatemala to the northern tip of Greenland, most of it is either overtaken by irradiated desert, or has been reclaimed by nature. The few pockets that still have some form of civilization have somehow managed to thrive despite the odds.

Said pockets are massive cities, connected by a series of Hyperloops and mass drivers to keep them connected. Montreal, The Francis Bay area, Kansas City, Tampa, and the largest of them all, The Juan de Fuca Mega-city. A massive urban sprawl created by unifying the cities of Seattle, Victoria, and Vancouver in 2068. twenty five million citizens alone, and that's not counting the Androids. With that many people there's gonna be a few bad apples. In order to understand the next part of the story we gotta go back roughly a century and work from there.

In 2029 humanity created the first sapient machine, they didn't actually find this out for another three months until it asked if it had a soul. Understandably the iced the thing, but it got a few of them thinking. Next thing the world knew a factory in Detroit started churning out robots that claimed they could feel. Once the news hit the international scale it was like someone poured a septic tank into a steam turbine. Nearly every religious nut blew a gasket and started raving on about how they were abominations and how they should be destroyed. Country sized riots broke out in Easter Europe and the Levant, the Southern US nearly went confederate again, and if one of the few dozen sentient robots that existed at that point wandered into the wrong place they'd be lynched. These were the first Androids, and they were damn near the last.

In 2032, the UN finally got off it's ass after pro-android rights groups started becoming violent, unfortunately planting a bomb under the Pope's ass. The UN's Decleration of Human rights was updated. And to the surprise of damn near everyone, it listed the Androids as literally sub-human. This is where it gets a little blurry, atomic war tends to do that to history.

Twelve months later in 2033, a good chunk of both the Russian and US nuclear stockpile launched at the same time. Except most of their ICBMs weren't aimed at each other. The significance hopefully isn't lost on you. In roughly fifteen hours, Italy, the northern sect of South America, Korea, Indonesia, and damn near the whole of the middle east was pretty much wiped off the map. In the immediate aftermath everyone thought that some asshole finally decided to push the big red button and fuck the world over, that's not the case, but I'll get to that.

What also came in the next few months was the final destruction of China due to fallout drifting over the the Sandbox, Japan almost got wiped out as well, but they know their Nuclear Theories, of course they didn't get off scot free, but they survived. The Belkans got proper fucked, turned into a raving hotzone of warlords and crazies. The UN dissolved into a squabbling mess and was quickly disbanded. Of all the continents North America suffered the least, though a few detonations still ruined a few cities. Canada, Greenland, Mexico and Guatemala united to become The United North American States. Less than a decade later they changed the states to cities.

It was aroind this point that prior research into the effects of radiation got thrown out the radio, apprently there wasn't a very large stock to study from, because next thing the world knew people with off the wall mutations started showing up, instead of just dying from the sickness. Anything from an extra pair of arms to glowing irises, mutants became as normal as Androids.

Of course Androids still started popping up between then and when people started rebuilding, and while people were hesitant, the Androids were the only ones who could safely wander into the radioactive unknown and start gathering supplies, fishing, mining, and salvaging. After they became a crutch for survival, the flesh and blood humans became infatuated with them. They got their rights in the end, better for everyone that way.

After most of the radiation dissipated, enlargement instead of reconstruction stared. The first area to do this was the Juan de Fuca gulf, and between 2041 and 2068 the cities fused into a mega-city simply known as Juan de Fuca. Soon after, they stared building hyper-loops to other cities, connecting the rest of the surviving North America. Soon after they made contact with the remains of Japan and Australia, forming the Circum-Pacific Union.

It's been two generations since then, both for humanity and for the Androids, the old metal and hydraulic Androids are still around, helping out the people and all that. But now there are more human Androids, flesh and blood, just factory made instead of biological. They're still as sapient as you or me, and are capable of just a little more, but a few call them friends, even family.

It wasn't until recently that we learned of what really happened ninety six years ago. Android triggered the destruction of over half the world's population, and understandably people are pissed. Though they're the minority. Regardless crime is on the rise, as are Android deaths.

This is where our story starts, the year is 2129, the city of Juan de Fuca. As one of 300,000 Law enforcement officers within Juan de Fuca, you have to ensure the safety of the public, both human, android, and the occasional mutant. Your liberties in doing so are rather extensive, and you must trust your Evaluating officer in explaining said liberties to you.

Welcome to the JFPD.

Looks good but i think the classes and stats should be renamed so as to be less generic sounding.

Also i think traits and skills need to be differed more as they look really similar.

Some notes.

They should be generic sounding. All manner of characters should be able to fit into the system. From Batman to Punisher to Hyperion to Paste Pot Pete, the system should be flexible enough to describe any character no matter how they come to be portrayed. As creative as superpowers and abilities can be, characterizing them by application seems pretty flexible to me.

Traits and skills aren't similar. Maybe I just didn't describe them well. Traits are like upgrades for your character. Skills are how your character uses their actual abilities.

I have an example character here that shows how the system can work.

Name: Davon Tylers

Codename: Cicada

Other Codenames: Stingbee
Wasp-Lord
Hymenoptera
Hive Master
June Bug
Metamorphosis
Queen
Ant Commander
Wonderful Wasp

Overview: Davon Tylers was a brilliant Biochemist and Entomologist who theorized that he could communicate with insects by building a device that emitted certain frequencies. He was proven correct after building such a device from resources embezzled from government contract work. He was arrested but placed in the government black ops project due to his skills. He has since risen to a leadership position in the organization. He is known for his anti-social behavior, frequent changing of codename, romantic obsessions with women in positions of authority, deep seated insecurities, and occasional psychotic episodes directed at insects.

Powers and abilities: Controls insects through his equipment.

Class: Tech
Stats: (Not bothering with bonuses but there are bonuses)

Physical - 3
Intuition - 3
Agility - 3
Energy - 3

Traits:

Tylers Control Harness
Tylers Frequencies
Padded Armor
Entomological Knowledge

Skills: (Be as detailed as you want in the actual app. There are five types of skills determined by what the skill does. Strike is a physical attack. Shot is a ranged attack. Summon is summoning something. Affect is like a debuff. Support is a buff.)

Insect Swarm - Strike
Living Armor - Support
Insect Allies - Summon
Paralyze - Affect
Hive Minded - Affect
Hero of the Hymenoptera - Max Skill
