In the show they litteraly said it was his human cells limiting his kryptonian ones so I took that as the reason but Niery says there's a different one so was hoping he could say what the different reason is in that case.

Canonically, being half Kryptonian as Superboy is doesn't reduce his natural powers in the slightest.

I didn't see that. I had to speed read 5 pages yesterday.

I understand, no worries. He's not blitzing anyone anytime soon, so I'll give him a decent speed for a telekinetic of his caliber and leave sub-FTL to be developed as he grows in years.

Based on the YJ cartoon, those limitations are because his powers aren't fully developed or manifested entirely. He's only 16 weeks old in the first episode - it's implied that it's like taking baby steps, and Conner is shown to get about 2 inches off of the ground at some point as he keeps trying to fly and be like Superman and prove he's not like Lex Luther.

However, if they kept his power of Tactile Telekinesis (I copied his image from YJ, but his powers from pre-52 SB), he could readily fly and imitate close to all of Clark's powers, save for ice breath, heat vision, and telescopic sight - to my immediate knowledge, that is.

I recently watched the entire YJ cartoons and lex Luthor litteraly tells him it's because he has human cells that are limiting his kryptonian cells but Lex has technology called "shields" to remove those limitations for an hour or 2 per "shield".

And whenever he uses a patch he can fly his strength is increased tremendously and has heat vision.

In any case I know comics overrule the shows so I'll take your word for it as I never read any comics about Superboy save one where he was a small cameo in a supergirl comic.

Though Van isn't a Kryptonian - his powers are just on that level so we have an easy comparison.

Huh, I never watched the show. I might load it up and start, though, as I've seen snippets, ships, and videos of it but never a whole episode.

As for the comics, I read SB sparingly, but I simply took the inspiration for Tactile Telekinesis and it's ability to mimic the Kryptonian physical power set and ran with it - Van has no Kryptonian in him that we know of and the sun just burns him like every other white boy. Superboy pre-52 was a big douche most of the time and almost insufferable as a fault.

Meh, in any case Superboy is a clone with 50/50 DNA from Supes and Lexy, so for all we know a clone can have different rules than a child which for example could have 100% mixed cells ("Kryptohuman" or something) which is something completely different. Or biology is simply better at arranging where to put what cell which leads to more powers. Or being a clone he has no chance for the superhuman gene, that humans can have according to DC comics, and therefor doesn't mix well wile a biological offspring could have this gene which may instantly trigger to work together with the kryptonian cells creating a superkryptonian or whatever.

There's probably a 100 more reasons you could invent.

He doesn't exactly want to kill the hero's since they're not bad, but he disagree's with their methods so I'm not sure if he would try and attack them or just try convincing them.
