Her people's custom is that the father(or legal guardian, as the case may be)of the bride can set a task for the prospective groom, and if he completes it, then they get married, whether the bride wants it or not. So yeah, she's trying to find magic crystal for task and destroy it if necessary so she doesn't have to get married.

So you'd have to want to marry her if you're going for that crystal.

Marriage was the fate worse than death? .-. I was thinking of like eternal torture or something

Same thing, isn't it?

At least for her. She doesn't even like the guy!

Well, I understand. That was the fate worse then death you were talking about. Anyway, I'll make my character go to that bakery and join you and the others on that quest, if am I allowed to. Even if probably if that crystal is expensive, he will try to steal it and sell it.

Cool beans, go ahead!

Divorce? Her people have no such custom. With them, marriage is for life.

And then you're expected to stay together in the afterlife. Help.

Basically, her only hope is to get to the crystal first. Stop screwing up my fairytale with alternate plotlines.

Ehhh if you just kill him outright then you won't have to fight over who get's to keep the dog, or cut the castle and peasantry in half. She get's to keep everything without having to fight in the courts about it.

In medieval courts? Most likely the dog would fight to keep the woman or not. The castle would be the dog's for sure.

No, it isn't his misery, he wants the marriage in the first place.

Hmm, that will be the backup plan in case they can't get to the crystal in time. Just assassinate him.
