Bio (optional): Centuries ago, a man named Ezekiel was practicing to be a Dark Sorcerer. He coveted power, and pledged to become the most powerful sorcerer in history. He learned of an ancient evil, a being that existed before time itself, called the darkness. Decades of research went into what became the most historically significant spell ever created, a spell which allowed Ezekiel to absorb the Darkness into himself. He gained all of its power, and became involved in most of the biggest events in history.
He learned, however, that all magic comes with a price. For him, it was a dagger with his name on it. It was the only thing that could kill him, that could draw his blood. Whoever controlled the knife, controlled him, and whoever killed him with it, would find their name on the knife. He kept the knife on his person at all times as he went on with his life.
Eventually, this great evil found love. He had fallen with a beautiful woman, who saw behind the carcass, the residual damage of absorbing the Darkness. This love, however, caused the darkness in his heart to fade. Ezekiel had to make a choice, kill the woman he loved, or lose the powers of the Darkness. It wasn't a hard choice for him, and he crushed her still beating heart in his hand.
A few centuries later he was apparently destroyed by a magic White Dragon. The battle was so great that the dragon was killed as well. The Dark One and the Darkness faded into myths and legends, with only one prophecy remaining. The Dark One would return when the Darkness was too engulf all.
