Ah, aight.

No, more like a draw in my canon. But at the terrible costs. The story still goes on similar to the events in RL.

Well, to make things interesting, perhaps a Nazi Germany is a better option. Or we can always choose Imperial Germany to be still intact.

Hmm, I'll think about it. There's a chance I'll prolly pick Nazi Germany cuz it's the history we're used to know. ;)

Question is...which side should Majapahit should take - Allies or Axis? I'd reckoned Allies. Cuz Imperial Japan wants to dominate Asia and is also Germany's ally. So it made sense, no?

Say, what did you guys imagined the foreign relations of my RP world?

I imagined to be the same like pre-WW2, with few differences. Majapahit probably allied with Thailand before WW2 too, seeing that both of them more or less are independent nations between colonies in Southeast Asia.

Soviet and Communist China still allied, as does USA, France, and UK.

Yeah. After that, I imagined Majapahit and Thailand forming it's own political bloc in modern day, along with the rest of South-East Asian nations as a third party.

Betul (Correct). It's like you've said. In RL, the South-East Asian states had little choice but to align/associate with certain great power for practical reasons and economical benefits especially today.

Majapahit can be considered great regional power so perhaps all SEA states align themselves with Majapahit, or perhaps with certain large and communist country in East Asia.

Depending on the SEA states, it's likely a case. I imagined the ones who isn't communist will eventually aligned with Majapahit, while the rest with the People's Republic of China or prefer to stay neutral if possible (which I find it unlikely due to being wedged between Great Powers themselves, at best buffer states).

On the other note, Philippines in this RP will be known as Maharlika. While Majapahit's Australian territories is known as Yolngu. Named after the indigenous people who traded with Makassaris.

What would you guys suggests for Majapahit's anthem tune? I'm thinking of Indonesia Raya, except it will be known as "Majapahit Raya". Same tune but lyrics are more or less different. :P

That's probably the only song that is tuned perfectly and fit well with the kingdom. :D

Sure, we can use that but with different lyrics at some parts.

Cool~. :D

Anyway, this is my first draft for the anthem, both in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Tune or this Tune.

Majapahit Raya

Majapahit, tanah airku
Tanah tumpah darahku
Di sanalah aku berdiri
Jadi pandu ibuku
Majapahit, kebangsaanku
Bangsa dan tanah airku
Marilah kita berseru
"Majapahit bersatu!"

Hiduplah tanahku, hiduplah negeriku
Bangsaku, rakyatku, semuanya
Bangunlah jiwanya, bangunlah badannya
Untuk Majapahit Raya

<REFRAIN > :
Majapahit Raya, yang kuat & yang megah
Tanahku, negeriku yang kucinta
Majapahit Raya, merdeka, merdeka!
Hiduplah Majapahit Raya!
Majapahit Raya, merdeka, merdeka!
Tanahku, negeriku yang kucinta
Majapahit Raya, merdeka, merdeka!
Hiduplah Majapahit Raya!
Majapahit, tanah yang mulia
Tanah kita yang kaya
Di sanalah aku berdiri
Untuk s'lama-lamanya
Majapahit, tanah pusaka
P'saka kita semuanya
Marilah kita mendoa
"Kerajaan bahagia!"

Suburlah tanahnya, suburlah jiwanya
Bangsanya, rakyatnya, semuanya
Sadarlah hatinya, sadarlah budinya
Untuk Majapahit Raya
→ <REFRAIN >

Majapahit, tanah yang suci
Tanah kita yang sakti
Di sanalah aku berdiri
N'jaga ibu sejati
Majapahit, tanah berseri
Tanah yang aku sayangi
Marilah kita berjanji
" Majapahit abadi!"
S'lamatlah rakyatnya, s'lamatlah putranya
Pulaunya, lautnya, semuanya
Majulah Neg'rinya, majulah pandunya
Untuk Majapahit Raya
→ <REFRAIN >

Majapahit, my homeland
The land where I shed my blood
Right there, I stand
To be a guide of my motherland
Majapahit, my nationality
My nation and my homeland
Let us exclaim
"Majapahit unites!"

Long live my land, long live my state
My nation, my people, entirely
Let us build its soul, let us build its body
For the Great Majapahit

<REFRAIN > :
Great Majapahit, strong & majestic!
My land, my country which I love
Great Majapahit, independent & sovereign!
Long live Great Majapahit!
Great Majapahit, independent & sovereign!
My land, my country which I love
Great Majapahit, independent & sovereign!
Long live Great Majapahit!

Majapahit, a noble land
Our wealthy land
Right there, I stand
Forever and ever
Majapahit, a hereditary land
A heritage of ours
Let us pray
"To the Kingdom’s happiness!"

Fertile may its soil, flourish may its soul
Its nation, its people, entirely
Aware may its heart, aware may its mind
For Great Majapahit
→ <REFRAIN >

Majapahit, a sacred land
Our victorious land
Right there, I stand
To guard the pure motherland
Majapahit, a radiant land
A land which I adore
Let us pledge
"Majapahit is eternal!"
Safe may its people, safe may its children
Its islands, its seas, entirely
The state progresses, its scouts advance
For Great Majapahit
→ <REFRAIN >

Bump. I presume the anthem is alright and accepted?

On the fun note, I plan Bung Karno (Sukarno) as Majapahit's Prime Minister in this verse and one of the Empire's greatest statesmen in history. :p

Yes, it's alright and accepted.

Well, it will be nice to have Soekarno as one of Empire's greatest statesmen. And Hatta too.

Considering the differences in this world's alternative history, Majapahit (RL Indonesia) is in much better position on the world stage as a Great Power. Same goes for the rest of SEA, China, Korea and perhaps Japan.

Although, I'm not sure how can I fit in the Europeans, particularly the Dutch, into this world where Majapahit (Indonesia) is one of the strongest Great Powers. Any suggestions?

The best case scenario for them are probably expats or merchants or skilled immigrants working in Majapahit's industries.

Seeing that Majapahit stays strong, and become a Great Power, I imagine there is a not-so strong relationship between two countries, especially if Majapahit is a supporter/friends with Communist nations in Cold War, or the Comintern in WW2.

Beside, two nations with strong economic and military power will wage political, economic, and diplomatic wars over areas, look at what China and America do, as the most modern example.

Ya, true, very true. Tho' it can be the same case if Majapahit is a supporter/friends with NATO-aligned states too.

I was thinking the best case scenario for Majapahit's foreign relations is pretty much neutral at the same time maintaining friendly relations with most nations in the world. Partly, it's to avoid unnecessary conflicts as much as anyone else.

Tho' during 18th century and so on, Majapahit can support nationalistic groups in the European colonies . Even the results may not be desirable but at least it diverts the western powers' attention away from the Nusantara. That is if they have time to go against Majapahit.

With history of supporting nationalist groups in European colonies, the Europeans in turn probably wouldn't really like the idea of befriending an Asian great power, at first. With time, opinions might change.

Definitely brother. Well, you know the saying 'an enemy of my enemy is my friend' ~. Majapahit Pintar can into friends~. :3

Oh, don't forget I plan to incorporate FanT stuff into this RP. Meaning we'll have witches, elves, yokais, demons and any sorts of Fantasy stuff in the story. Pretty much alternative Earth.

Ideas regarding the Majapahit's military, what did you guys imagined?

Being an archipelago, maritime Empire, it seems Majapahit's strong suit is probably the Navy and the Air-Force with support of Highly-trained Marine Infantries. Likely less emphasis on armoured warfare due to terrain, switching to more on defensive & specialization purposes - anti-armour in other words. Surely u can't move tanks well in the mud, monsoon and the forest. :3

Navy, and maybe Majapahit strongly focusing on its navy to the point where it might neglecting other parts of the military, maybe make the army to be under-equipped, while the Navy get the best of the best. On the other hand, highly-trained marines is true and maybe Majapahit forms its own special forces based on its best candidates from the Marines exclusively, causing friction between Navy and the rest of the military.

Any other aspects I can help with, MIn? Sorry for answering now, I just went back from vacation with cousins. :)

It's okay. No problem, brother. :)

Well anyway, sounds like good idea. However, the friction part can be very challenging as both of us is aware. No good havin' the worst Interservice rivalry especially when at war so at least keep at the minimum. I guess that means we'll have a Navy-focused military with Elite Marine infantries with their own air-force corps, much like the Imperial Japanese Army or the British military. Except we have highly-trained marines cuz we have more islands to hold on than both of the forementioned countries.

As for the Majapahit Special Forces, they tend to be recruited from all branches or otherwise for manpower reasons, best of the best. It's a safe compromise to avoid the complications caused by the frictions.

Oh, you can help me with anything, Mas Altitio. :3

So, is there any questions you have in mind at the moment?
