Well, I am not that sure about the difference between British and American. Yes, there are some differences between German and Austrian, especially at the accent, and there are a lot of different words.

There are accent differences between British and American English. Also they write some words differently.
Example: Color and Colour

It depends. There are some people who are blaming them for how Romania is today. Because of the constant attacks of the Turkish hordes, the Romanian countries never really had time to develop. Also, I personally don't like them because of what they did to Byzantium.

I didn't like what they did to people in the Balkans either. They got children of Christian families to train them as soldiers(Janissaries) or politician(viziers). Nearly every empire did something dirty in their history though.

That was a fight against the Ottomans. The Turks started it, with Bayazid the Lightning, that crossed the Danube but was stopped by Mircea the Elder by Rovine.
